Name Description
Bernheim, Antoine Mr. Antoine Bernheim has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Assicurazioni Generali SpA since September 13, 2002. He also serves as Member of the Executive Committee of the Company. He also serves as Chairman of the Corporate Governance Committee of the Company. He graduated in Law and Science, and pursued most of his professional career at Maison Lazard. He was the Chairman and General Manager of the insurance companies belonging to the La France group for over 25 years. He has been on the Board of the Company since 1973 and became Vice-Chairman in 1990, Chairman from June 1995 to April 1999 and again Vice-Chairman from May 2001. He was re-elected as Chairman on September 13, 2002. In France he has been awarded the Grand Croix honor, having previously received the distinction of the Legion of Honor, and in Italy he was made a Grande Ufficiale dell’Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana. He is also Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Intesa Sanpaolo SpA, Vice Chairman of the Company’s subsidiary Alleanza Assicurazioni SpA, a Director of Mediobanca , and Vice Chairman of LVMH and Bollore Investissement. Ricke, Kai-Uwe Mr. Kai-Uwe Ricke has served as Non-Executive Independent Member of the Board of Directors of Assicurazioni Generali SpA since April 28, 2007. He studied Economics in Germany, France and in the United States of America. He was Managing Director of ENI, Director of the Teatro alla Scala Foundation, and a Member of the Board of Overseers of the Columbia Business School in New York. He is also a Member of the Board of Directors of the London Stock Exchange. In 2003 he was awarded the title of Cavaliere del Lavoro and in November 2007 he was awarded the title of Officer of the Legion of Honor.
