Name Description

Marjorie Magner

Ms. Marjorie Magner is Non-Executive Independent Chairman of the Board of Gannett Co Inc. She was named the Chairman of Gannett in October 2011 and is the Managing Partner of Brysam Global Partners, a private equity firm investing in financial services firms with a focus on consumer opportunities in emerging markets that was founded in January 2007. She was Chairman and CEO of Citigroup’s Global Consumer Group from 2003 to 2005. She served in various roles at Citigroup, and a predecessor company, CitiFinancial (previously Commercial Credit), since 1987. Ms. Magner currently serves as a director of Accenture Ltd. and Ally Financial Inc. and served as a director of The Charles Schwab Corporation from 2006 to 2008.

Gracia Martore

Ms. Gracia C. Martore is President, Chief Executive Officer, Director of Gannett Co Inc. She served as President and Chief Operating Officer from February 2010 until October 2011. She was Executive Vice President and CFO of Gannett from 2006 to 2010, and served as Senior Vice President and CFO from 2003 to 2006. Claybaugh is also a Gannett veteran, starting with the company 25 years ago. He returns to Gannett Central New York Media, after serving as the general manager of the Delmarva Media Group, which consists of nine publications and websites, including The Daily Times in Salisbury, MD. Before the Delmarva Media Group, Claybaugh spent the previous six years as vice president of sales and marketing for the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, where he was responsible for all aspects of sales and marketing, including circulation sales. Claybaugh has also served as advertising director for the Press & Sun-Bulletin. A U.S. Navy veteran, Claybaugh was also group publisher for the Newspaper Network of Central Ohio. He's held various positions with then-Gannett owned Huntington (WV) Herald Dispatch, The Saratogian in Saratoga, NY, and the Poughkeepsie (NY) Journal.

Pamela Henson

Ms. Pamela Henson has been appointed as President, Publisher of Appleton Post-Crescent, Regional President - Gannett Wisconsin of Gannett Co., Inc. In addition, Henson will become regional president of Gannett Wisconsin, overseeing all 10 of the company's Wisconsin properties. She succeeds Genia Lovett, who retired from the same position in June and will report to Laura Hollingsworth, central group president for Gannett U.S. Community Publishing (USCP). Henson comes to The Post-Crescent from the Milwaukee (WI) Journal-Sentinel, where she was senior vice president of advertising, marketing, digital sales and community newspapers. Prior to her time in Milwaukee, Henson was senior vice president for sales, marketing, interactive and community relations for the Denver Newspaper Agency, as well as senior vice president for sales and marketing at the Star Tribune in Minneapolis. She also worked with Hearst Media as director of strategic development. In addition, Henson has worked for The Baltimore (MD) Sun, Contra Costa (CA) Newspaper Group and the Los Angeles (CA) Daily News. Henson received her BA in journalism from the University of Southern California.

Terry Horne

Mr. Terry Horne is President and Publisher - Statesman Journal, Salem, OR and Regional President of Gannett West/Interstate Group of Gannett Co Inc. Horne has led the Pensacola News Journal since January. He had previously been publisher of the East Valley Tribune in Arizona and general manager of 1013 Communications, which offers digital services in Phoenix, Dallas and Houston. Prior to that, Horne served as CEO and president of the Orange County ( CA) Register. Horne has also worked for The Arizona Republic, where he was vice president of community newspapers. Horne also spent time with Swift Newspapers in Reno, Clarksburg Publishing in West Virginia, Thomson Newspapers, and Knight-Ridder, where he started as a staff writer for The Wichita (KS) Eagle. He received his BA in journalism from Wichita State University and an MS in mass communications from Oklahoma State University. He is married with six children.

Randy Kilgore

Mr. Randy Kilgore has been appointed as President - National Sales of the Company effective June 23, 2014. Most recently Kilgore was chief revenue officer for Tremor Video, an advertising technology company, where he developed sales strategy, product marketing, category development, mobile development and agency relations. He built the company’s sales team from the ground up and grew sales from under $1 million in 2006 to $128 million for 2013. Prior to serving as chief revenue officer for Tremor Video, Kilgore spent more than 16 years at Dow Jones & Co. His last role with Dow Jones was as senior vice president of advertising where he consistently surpassed revenue goals and industry averages, managed successful acquisitions and spearheaded many innovations including the introduction of behavioral targeting. Kilgore’s career began on the agency side at BBDO. Kilgore is a past member of the Online Publishers Association and Interactive Advertising Bureau boards, and was named Chairman of the IAB Board of Directors in 2013. He was named to Media Magazine’s 100 Most Influential list in 2005. Kilgore is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University.

Formerly: Professor of Media Management, Newhouse School of Communications, Syracuse University (2009-2012); Senior Advisor, Polaris Venture Partners (2008-2010); President of CBS Digital Media (2005-2006) and Advisor to CBS (2006-2008); and Chairman, CEO and Founder, MarketWatch, Inc. Robert Mennie

Mr. Robert G. Mennie has been appointed as President, General manager - WTLV/WJXX, Senior vice president - Gannett Broadcasting of GANNETT CO., INC. effective Aug. 27, 2014. Mennie has been part of the Gannett Broadcast leadership team since 1997. Most recently, Mennie has been senior vice president of news for Gannett Broadcasting. Prior to that, he was vice president of news at WUSA-TV in Washington, DC. He joined WUSA as news director in 1995. Mennie came to Washington from WDTN-TV in Dayton, OH, where he also served as news director. Prior to WDTN-TV, he was assistant news director at Gannett-owned KPNX-TV in Phoenix from 1993 to 1994. Mennie first joined Gannett 25 years ago as executive news producer for WXIA-TV in Atlanta, GA. Mennie began his television career at WCMH-TV in Columbus, OH as a photographer and later served as executive producer. Mennie also worked as special projects producer for WSYX-TV in Columbus.

Lidia Fonseca

Ms. Lidia L. Fonseca has been appointed as Director of Gannett Co., Inc., effective July 1, 2014. Fonseca joined Quest Diagnostics April 2. Fonseca is an advisory board member of Medivo, Inc., a leading healthcare data company; and prior to joining Quest Diagnostics, was senior vice president and chief information officer at Laboratory Corporation of America in Burlington, NC. Fonseca earlier served as executive vice president of Global Operations and Technology of Synarc Inc. and served in a variety of executive roles at Phillips Healthcare.

Tony Prophet

Mr. Tony A. Prophet is a Director of Gannett Co Inc. He is Senior Vice President of Operations, Printing and Personal Systems at Hewlett-Packard Company. He served as Senior Vice President of Supply Chain Operations, Personal Systems Group, Hewlett-Packard Company from 2006 until 2012 when he was named to his current role. Mr. Prophet was identified by a search firm retained by the Nominating and Public Responsibility Committee to assist in seeking qualified director candidates consistent with the Committee’s requirements and objectives. After interviewing with the members of the Committee, our Chairman and our President and Chief Executive Officer, the Committee considered Mr. Prophet’s qualifications and experience in accordance with its charter mandate and unanimously recommended that he be elected to our Board based on his broad business experience and expertise in supply chain and other operational issues as a result of the various positions he has held with Hewlett-Packard Company, United Technologies Corporation, Honeywell International, Inc., Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc., and General Motors Company. Our Board elected Mr. Prophet as a Gannett director in October 2013.

John Cody

Mr. John E. Cody is an Independent Director of Gannett Co Inc., since February 23, 2011. He served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Broadcast Music, Inc. from November 2006 until his retirement in November 2010. Previously, he served as BMI’s Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 1999 to 2006. Before joining BMI, he served as Vice President/Controller of the Hearst Book Group and Vice President/Finance and Chief Financial Officer for the U.S. headquarters of LM Ericsson. He is also a director of the Tennessee Performing Arts Center. Mr. Cody has broad business, music broadcast and publishing industry experience and financial from the various management roles he held with BMI, Hearst and Ericsson. He has been a Gannett director since 2011.

Howard Elias

Mr. Howard D. Elias is an Independent Director of Gannett Co Inc., since October 30, 2008. Mr. Elias is is President and Chief Operating Officer, EMC Global Enterprise Services. Previously, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer, EMC Information Infrastructure and Cloud Services from September 2009 to January 2013, President, EMC Global Services and Resource Management Software Group, and Executive Vice President, EMC Corporation from September 2007 to September 2009 and as Executive Vice President, Global Marketing and Corporate Development, at EMC Corporation from October 2003 to September 2007. Mr. Elias has broad business experience and expertise in information technology issues as a result of the various positions he has held with EMC, Hewlett-Packard Company, Compaq, Digital, AST Research and Tandy Corporation. He has been a Gannett director since 2008.

John Louis

Mr. John Jeffry Louis is an Independent Director of Gannett Co Inc., since October 23, 2006. He was Co-Founder of Parson Capital Corporation, a Chicago-based private equity and venture capital firm, and served as its Chairman from 1992 to 2007. He is currently a director of S.C. Johnson and Son, Inc. and Johnson Financial Group, Inc., and a Commissioner of the U.S./U.K. Fulbright Commission.

Scott McCune

He has been a Gannett director since 2008.

Susan Ness

Ms. Susan Ness is an Independent Director of Gannett Co Inc., since October 25, 2011. She is a Senior Fellow at the Center for Transatlantic Relations at John Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), and a principal of Susan Ness Strategies, a communications policy consulting firm, which she founded in 2002. She is also a Trustee of the Committee for Economic Development (CED) and an Affiliated Expert of the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF). She served as a commissioner of the Federal Communications Commission from 1994 to 2001. From 2005 to 2007, she was the founding president and CEO of GreenStone Media, LLC, which produced talk programming targeting women audiences for syndication on radio and other platforms. She is a member of the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board (Vice Chair in 2012 and 2013) and a director of Vital Voices Global Partnership. Ms. Ness previously served on the board of LCC International, Inc. from 2001 to 2008. Ms. Ness has broad communications, business and public policy experience and expertise from her service as an FCC commissioner and as principal executive at GreenStone Media, LLC and Susan Ness Strategies. She has been a Gannett director since 2011.

Neal Shapiro

Mr. Neal Shapiro is an Independent Director of Gannett Co Inc., since October 23, 2007. He is President and CEO of WNET, the public television company which operates Thirteen/WNET and WLIW21, third public television stations in the country. Before joining WNET in February 2007, Mr. Shapiro served in various executive capacities with the National Broadcasting Company beginning in 1993 and was president of NBC News from May 2001 to September 2005. He also is a member of the board of trustees of American Public Television, the advisory board of Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE), the board of Investigative News Network (INN), the Board of Trustees at Tufts University, and the alumni board of the Communications and Media Studies program at Tufts University.
