Name Description

Arno Mahlert

 Dr. Arno Mahlert has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Non-Executive Director at GfK SE since September 26, 2008. Previously, he was Vice Chairman of the Company's Supervisory Board from June 15, 2004. He is also Chairman of the Presidial Committee and Nominations Committee, as well as Member of the Personnel Committee at the Company. Dr. Mahlert also serves on the Supervisory Boards of Eterna Mode GmbH, (Chairman since July 1, 2010), Saarbruecker Zeitung GmbH (Deputy Chairman), dal Deutsche Afrika-Linien GmbH & Co KG, maxingvest AG, Peek & Cloppenburg KG (since June 23, 2010) and Zeitverlag Gerd Bucerius GmbH & Co. KG.

Matthias Hartmann

 Mr. Matthias Hartmann has been Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Management Board of GfK SE since December 1, 2011. Mr. Hartmann, a business management graduate from (University of Cooperative Education) Stuttgart, Germany, holds the position of Global Head of Strategy and Industries in the consulting division of IBM Global Business Services within the IBM Group. He began his career at IBM in 1988, primarily working in the banking and insurance divisions in Germany, Europe and the United States for the first six years. Between 1993 and 2002, he held various positions at the former IBM Unternehmensberatung GmbH, where he was Managing Director from the year 2000. Before becoming Managing Director in Germany in 2005, he was Vice President at IBM's Group headquarters in Armonk, the United States. In February 2010, he became Global Head of Strategy and Industries at IBM Global Business Services.

Stefan Pfander

 Mr. Stefan Pfander has been Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Management Consultant at GfK SE since September 26, 2008. He is Member of the Audit, Presidial and Nominations Committees at the Company. Gerhard Hausruckinger

 Dr. Gerhard Hausruckinger has been Member of the Management Board, Chief Operating Officer responsible for Consumer Choices at GfK SE since January 1, 2012. He served for the Company in the role of COO responsible for the Retail and Technology Sector from September 1, 2010. Dr. Hausruckinger began his career as Project Manager for Corporate Planning at Karstadt AG (1992-1994). He joined Roland Berger Strategy Consultants as Consultant, in 1994, and five years later became Partner for the areas of consumer goods and retail. In 2006, he was appointed Managing Director of Accenture, where he was responsible for the retail sector in German-speaking countries. Between 2008 and 2010, he was Chief Executive Officer of Emnos GmbH. Dr. Hausruckinger graduated in Business Administration from Universitaet Regensburg (1988) and holds a Doctorate from the same University (1992).

Debra Pruent

 Ms. Debra A. Pruent has been Member of the Management Board and Chief Operating Officer responsible for Customer Experience at GfK SE since January 1, 2012. She has been with the Company in the role of COO responsible for Customer Research Segment since January 1, 2008. Prior to that, she was Chief Operation Officer of GfK Custom Research North America, from 2006 to 2007. From 1992 to 2005, Ms. Pruent served at the automotive-industry market-researcher Allison-Fisher International, most recently as CEO. From 1983 to 1992, she held various management functions with General Motors Corporation. From 1988 to 1990, she was Extraordinary Professor of Statistics at the Oakland University, the United States. Ms. Pruent holds a degree in Applied Statistics from the Oakland University (1986), and a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the Wayne State University, the United States (1983).

Wolfgang Berndt

 Dr. Wolfgang C. Berndt is Member of the Supervisory Board and Non-Executive Director at GfK SE. He serves as Chairman of the Personnel Committee, as well as Member of the Nominations Committee and Presidial Committee at the Company.
