Name Description
Sbrolla, James Mr. James Sbrolla has been appointed as Chairman of the Board of Augen Gold Corp. He served as Lead Director of Augen Gold Corporation since March 13, 2009. Mr. Sbrolla is a veteran of both the financial and environmental industries. He is Chairman of Environmental Business Consultants, the manager of a small private equity fund and serves on the boards of WE Communications, Actual Media and Green Students Fundraising. Mr. Sbrolla is also a widely-published journalist in business media, Mr. Sbrolla has written on a variety of topics including a multi-national study on finance, the environment and sustainable development. Mr. Sbrolla is a 1990 graduate from University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Arts in Administrative and Commercial Studies. He also has a Graduate Diploma in Management Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University and is an Entrepreneur in Residence with MaRS and the Ontario Center for Environmental Technology Advancement since 2008.
Mason, J. David Mr. J. David Mason is the Chief Executive Officer, Director of Augen Gold Corporation. He served as Chairman of the Board of the Company. Mr. Mason is also the Chairman of Augen Capital, a publicly traded merchant bank with shares trading on the TSXV that specializes in the financing of and investment in early stage resource companies. Mr. Mason’s work experience in themineral business included positions with Noranda Mines Inc. and Rio Algoma Ltd. as well as being a policy analyst for the Ontario Government. Mr. Mason spent twenty-five years in the investment business of which ten years were as a Mining Analyst (Wood Gundy & Walwyn Inc.), approximately eleven years as an IDA Member Firm branch manager and an adviser to individual retail investors. He graduated with a B. A. Sc. from the University of Toronto in 1967 (Engineering & Economic Geology), and from McGill University in 1969 with a M. Eng. (Mining), specialized in management sciences and mineral economics.
Kshatriya, Manish Mr. Manish Z. Kshatriya, CA, CPA, is the Chief Financial Officer of Augen Gold Corporation. Mr. Kshatriya joined Augen Gold in 2006 as Director of Finance and has been interim Chief Financial Officer since April, 2008. Prior to joining the Company, he held a variety of progressively senior roles in finance, accounting and taxation. Mr. Kshatriya holds a BAS (Honours) in Accounting and Finance from York University, a Chartered Accountant (CA) designation as well as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
Marmont, Christopher Mr. Christopher Marmont is Senior Vice President, Exploration of Augen Gold Corporation, working as a consultant under a consulting agreement amended and restated effective November 9, 2007 between the Corporation and Christopher Marmont (the “Marmont Consulting Agreement”). His responsibilities include day-to-day exploration program management as well as day-to-day management of the Jerome Property. See “Interest of Management and Others in Material Transactions” for details of the Marmont Consulting Agreement”. Mr. Marmont has over thirty years of experience in the mining industry. Since 2003, he has been retained as the consulting geologist to Kodiak Exploration Limited, supervised the diamond drill programs in Red Lake on behalf of Conquest Resources Limited, supervised a diamond exploration on behalf of a junior exploration company in Ontario, researched, compiled and wrote qualifying reports on behalf of Roscoe Postle Associates Inc. and conducted geological mapping and supervised logistics on behalf of Nova West Resources Inc., Raglan nickel exploration program in Cape Smith Belt, Northern Quebec. He received a Bachelor of Arts (honours) degree in geology from Oxford University and a Masters of Science in Mineral Exploration and Mining Geology from Leicester University.
Peterson, Andrew Mr. Andrew Timothy Peterson is a Director of Augen Gold Corporation since March 13, 2009. He is the Chairman and Chief Financial Officer, Nordex Explosives Ltd.
Woods, Lorne Mr. Lorne Woods has joined Augen Gold Corp. as an Independent Director on the company's board of directors as well as a member of the Audit Committee. Mr. Woods is Vice President Investor Relations at Blue Note Mining Inc. Mr. Woods has 20 years of experience owning and operating private companies; 10 years experience consulting with public companies; and 10 years experience consulting with the Canadian capital market.
