Monroe, James Mr. James Monroe has been appointed as Executive Chairman of the Board of Globalstar, Inc effective July 8, 2009. He has served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Globalstar, Inc. He has served as a Director of the Company since December 2003 and as Chairman of the Board of Directors since the Reorganization in April 2004. He was elected Chief Executive Officer in January 2005. Since 1984, Mr. Monroe has been the majority owner of a diverse group of privately owned businesses that operate in the fields of telecommunications, real estate, power generation, industrial equipment distribution, financial services and leasing services and that are sometimes referred to collectively in this Report as "Thermo." Thermo controls directly or indirectly Globalstar Holdings LLC, Globalstar Satellite, L.P., and Thermo Funding Company LLC.
Dalton, Peter Mr. Peter J. Dalton has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer, Director of Globalstar, Inc effective July 8, 2009. He has served as Director of Globalstar, Inc since January 2004. Mr. Dalton has served as chief executive officer of Dalton Partners, Inc., a turnaround management firm, since January 1989. As chief executive officer of Dalton Partners, Inc., Mr. Dalton also has served as chief executive officer and director of a number of its clients. From November 2001 to September 2004, Mr. Dalton served as chief executive officer of Clickhome Reality, Inc., a discount real estate and mortgage company.
Ahmad, Fuad Fuad Ahmad has served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Globalstar Inc since June 2005. From June 1999 to May 2005, he served as Finance Director of Old Globalstar and the Company, where he was involved in the initial fundraising activities related to building and launching the Globalstar System. He joined the Company in June 1996 as Finance Manager. Prior to that time, he was employed by Transworld Telecommunications, Inc., a private equity financed firm engaged in acquiring telecommunications companies in the United States.
Navarra, Anthony Anthony J. Navarra is President of Old Globalstar of the Globalstar, Inc. Mr. Navarra was a director of Globalstar, Inc from December 2003 until September 2004. He served as President of Old Globalstar and the Company from September 1999 to December 2004 and has served as President, Global Operations of the Company since January 2005.
Bell, Steven Steven Bell has served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Globalstar, Inc. He was Senior Vice President of International Sales, Marketing and Customer Care from April 2004 to January 2008 and as General Manager of Globalstar Canada, a subsidiary of the Company, since July 2003. Adler, William William F. Adler has served as Vice President—Legal and Regulatory Affairs of Globalstar Inc since April 2004 when he joined the Company from Old Globalstar, where he served as Vice President—Legal & Regulatory Affairs from January 1996 to April 2004. Prior to joining Old Globalstar in 1996, Mr. Adler was a partner in a communications law firm located in Washington, D.C. and served in executive capacities at Pacific Telesis Group and the FCC. Mr. Adler holds a J.D. degree from New York University School of Law and a B.A. degree from Dartmouth College.
Monte, Paul Paul A. Monte has served as Vice President - Engineering and Product Development of Globalstar, Inc since September 2005. Paul Monte is responsible for the systems engineering of the Globalstar network as well as the company’s development and launch of new products and services. Paul began working on the Globalstar project in 1990 and was the principal architect of the original Globalstar space and ground segment. Between 1997 and 2005, he served as the company’s Director of Systems Engineering. Prior to joining Globalstar Mr. Monte was Principal Engineer at Space Systems/Loral, responsible for systems analysis and various communications and tactical initiatives. He has also worked at Ford Aerospace as a Senior Research Development Engineer. Mr. Monte holds a Masters Degree in Computer and Information Sciences from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Neilsen, Martin Martin E. Neilsen is Vice President - New Business Ventures of Globalstar, Inc. since January 2008. Mr. Neilsen has been with Globalstar since 1992 and is currently Vice President of New Business Ventures for Globalstar. In this role Mr. Neilsen is responsible for 1) expansion of Globalstar satellite service in currently uncovered areas of the world, 2) supporting Globalstar’s independent service providers around the world in the expansion of their business, and 3) evaluating and making recommendations on all new business opportunities that arise within Globalstar. Mr. Neilsen is also an Officer of Globalstar South Africa as well as Board Member of Globaltouch (West Africa) Limited. Prior to his current position Mr. Neilsen was General Manager of Globalstar’s European operation headquartered in Dublin, Ireland. Mr. Neilsen has also held key financial and contract management positions in Globalstar and was program manager for the first-generation space and ground segment development and construction. Prior to joining Globalstar, Mr. Neilsen spent 9 years with Space Systems Loral where he held various financial positions supporting satellite production contracts. Mr. Neilsen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from San Jose State University along with a Masters degree in Finance from Golden Gate University, San Francisco.
Roberts, Richard Richard S. Roberts is Secretary and Director of Globalstar, Inc. Mr. Roberts has served as Secretary of the company since April 2004 and as Vice President and General Counsel of Thermo Development Inc., the management company of many Thermo businesses, since June 2002. Prior to that he was a partner of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP, a law firm whose principal office is located in Cincinnati, Ohio, for over 20 years. Mr. Roberts is a limited partner of Globalstar Satellite, LP.
Lynch, James James F. Lynch is Director of Globalstar, Inc since December 2003. He has been Managing Director of Thermo Capital Partners, L.L.C., a private equity investment firm, since October 2001. Mr. Lynch also served as Chairman of Xspedius Communications, LLC, a competitive local telephone exchange carrier, from January 2005 until its acquisition by Time Warner Telecom in October 2006 and as Chief Executive Officer of Xspedius from August 2005 to March 2006. Prior to joining Thermo Capital Partners, Mr. Lynch was a Managing Director of Bear Stearns & Co., an investment banking and brokerage firm. Mr. Lynch is a limited partner of Globalstar Satellite, LP.
Jones, Kenneth Kenneth E. Jones is Director of Globalstar, Inc since January 2007. He has served as Chairman of Globe Wireless, a maritime communications business, since 2004. From January 1994 to August 2004, he served as Globe’s chief executive officer. Mr. Jones is also a director of Landec Corp.
McIntyre, J. Patrick J. Patrick McIntyre is Director of Globalstar, Inc. He has been dierctor of lobalstar, Inc since May 21, 2007. He has served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Lauridsen Group Incorporated, a privately owned holding company that owns and operates numerous businesses involved in the global development, manufacturing and selling of functional proteins to the animal health and nutrition, human health and nutrition, food, diagnostic, life science research, biopharmaceutical, and veterinary vaccine industries, since February 2007. Hasler, William Mr. William A. Hasler is the Independent Director of Globalstar, Inc. Mr. Hasler served from 1984 to July 1991 as Vice Chairman of KPMG Peat Marwick, an international public accounting firm; from July 1991 to July 1998 as Dean of the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley; from July 1998 to July 2004 as Co-Chief Executive Officer of Aphton Corp., a biotechnology firm, and from 2003 to 2007 as non-Executive Chairman of Solectron Corp. Mr. Hasler serves a director of DiTech Networks Corp., Harris Stratex Networks, Mission West Properties and the Schwab Funds.
