Name Description

John Sheridan

Mr. John Patrick Sheridan, Jr., has been re-designated as Chairman of the Board of Guyana Goldfields Inc., with effect from June 3, 2013. He has been appointed to the position of President, Chief Operating Officer of the Company with effective April 9, 2012. Mr. Sheridan also serves as President, Chief Executive Officer, Secretary and a director of Aranka, and as the President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of Guyana Precious Metals Inc. (TSXV:GPM). Mr. Sheridan has been employed in the mining industry on a full-time basis since 1987, and holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. from the London School of Economics and Political Science, United Kingdom.

Scott Caldwell

Mr. Scott A. Caldwell has been re-designated as President, Chief Executive Officer, Director of Guyana Goldfields Inc., with effect from June 3, 2013. Mr. Caldwell has been a director of GGI since June, 2012, and will be relocating to the head office in Toronto for the president and CEO role. He is a mining engineer with more than 30 years of experience building and operating gold and base metal mines worldwide, including United States, Canada, Russia, Zimbabwe, Chile and Indonesia. He was until recently the president, CEO and director of Allied Nevada Gold Corp. for over six years. While under Mr. Caldwell's tenure, the company grew from a handful of employees in 2006 to approximately 600 employees in 2013. Allied Nevada's Hycroft gold mine was recommissioned and achieved commercial production in 2009. Prior to 2006, Mr. Caldwell worked in various capacities at Kinross Gold Corp., including executive vice-president and chief operating officer and director from 2002 to 2006. During this time he was directly responsible for activities associated with the operation and development of various open pit and underground mines located throughout the world. Prior to joining Kinross, Mr. Caldwell served as the vice-president of operations for Echo Bay Mines where he was responsible for the operation and development of mines in Canada and the United States. Mr. Caldwell also spent a number of years working in Indonesia for PT Freeport Indonesia Company where he was a key member of the development and operating team for the Grasberg mine, DOZ mine and GBT mine. He holds a bachelor of science (mining) degree in engineering from the University of Arizona.

Marcel DeGuire

Mr. Marcel F. DeGuire is no longer President, Chief Operating Officer of Guyana Goldfields Inc., effective July 15, 2013. Mr. DeGuire has 40 years of diversified management and senior technical experience with specific resource industries experience in project and operations management, business development, and government, environmental and regulatory affairs. From 2007 to 2012, Mr. DeGuire served as the Chief Executive Officer of Electrum USA Ltd., a private global gold exploration company, where he was responsible for managing a multitude of exploration properties in Asia, Africa, Europe, South America, Latin America and the United States. Prior to 2007, Mr. DeGuire held various senior management roles with Apex Silver Mines Corp. Mr. DeGuire holds a B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering from the Michigan Technological University and a M.S. in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Nevada.

Paul Murphy

Mr. Paul J. Murphy is Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President - Finance of Guyana Goldfields Inc. Mr. Murphy also serves as Chief Financial officer of Guyana Precious Metals Inc. (TSXV:GPM). Mr. Murphy previously served as a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP from 1981 to 2010, prior to joining the Company. Mr. Murphy is a graduate of Queens University and is a Chartered Accountant (C.A.).

Peter Galassi

Mr. Peter Lello Galassi has been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of Guyana Goldfields Inc., with effect from May 21, 2013. Mr. Galassi has over 15 years of experience in Senior Project Director roles where he budgeted, implemented, built, commissioned and turned over international development projects in Peru, Chile, Australia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Guinea. Mr. Galassi has an project track record in delivering safety, cost effectiveness, and scheduled timelines. He previously worked for Rio Tinto Iron Ore ("Rio Tinto") as the Senior Project Manager for the multi-billion dollar Simandou Project in Guinea, West Africa starting in 2008 where he led brownfield and greenfield expansion projects ranging from mine to port structures, equipment and systems. In 2010, Lello was promoted to Project Director, General Manager and led the feasibility study process, early works program and constructed the in-country management team for its expansion projects. Prior to Rio Tinto, Mr. Galassi was the Senior Project Manager of the Tenke Fungurume Mine in Democratic Republic of the Congo for Freeport McMoRan from 2004 to 2008. Lello managed the engineering, procurement and construction of the project, including a new process plant, housing, support infrastructure, power, roads and airfield access developments as well as directed numerous international consultants as the Feasibility Study Manager. Mr. Galassi holds advanced-degrees in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering and is a Level III Senior Project Manager graduate from the Air Force Institute of Technology and the University of Washington. He served a 20-year long career in the U.S. Air Force as a senior officer.

Daniel Noone

Mr. Daniel J. Noone is Vice President - Exploration and Director of Guyana Goldfields Inc. He is Director since April 7, 2009 and Vice President - Exploration since February 11 2010. Mr. Noone holds a B.Sc. (Graduate) in Geology and a M.B.A., and also currently serves as a director of Guyana Precious Metals Inc. (TSXV:GPM), Amerix Precious Metals Corporation (TSXV: APM) Odin Mining and Exploration Limited (TSXV: ODN), Quia Resources Inc. (TSXV:QIA) and Lago Dourado Minerals Ltd. (TSXV:LDM). Mr. Noone previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Absolut Resources Corp. until its amalgamation with Aquiline Resources Inc. (TSX:AQI) in April 2008.

St. John Lees

Mr. St. John Lees is Vice President - Projects of Guyana Goldfields Inc., since April 23, 2012. Mr. Lees holds a B.E in Civil Engineering, a B.Sc. in Geology, and an M.B.A. He has 17 years’ experience in both the building and resources industries. His most recent prior position was as Area Manager Infrastructure for the Rio Tinto Simandou Project in Guinea West Africa. He was employed for six years at Rio Tinto, prior to which he spent six years in south-east Asia working on infrastructure projects.

Alexander Po

Mr. Alexander Po is Exploration Manager of Guyana Goldfields Inc. He was Independent Director until April 19, 2012. He holds a B.Sc. in mining engineering from the Mapua Institute of Technology, Manila, Philippines (1965) as well as a M.Engr. in mining geology from the Institute of Mining Geology, Akita University, Akita City, Japan (1975). Mr. Po has been engaged as a self-employed mining and exploration geologist since 1982 managing exploration projects in the Americas and abroad. Mr. Po is a Fellow of the Geological Association of Canada and is a registered practicing member of the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario. Mr. Po is also a director of Guyana Precious Metals Inc. (TSXV:GPM).

Alan Ferry

Mr. Alan L.H. Ferry is Lead Independent Director of Guyana Goldfields Inc. Mr. Ferry is a self employed businessman who had previously been engaged in the investment industry for over 27 years as a mining analyst and a mining corporate finance specialist after previously being employed as a geologist. He holds a CFA (retired) designation and a B.Sc. (Geological Sciences) from Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario. Mr. Ferry is also currently Chairman and a director of Avalon Rare Metals Inc. (TSX:AVL), Chairman and a director of Macusani Yellowcake Inc. (TSXV:YEL), and a director of Guyana Precious Metals Inc. (TSXV:GPM), Inter-Rock Minerals Inc. (TSXV:IRO). Prior to July 2007, he was employed as Vice-President, Metals & Minerals at D&D Securities Company.

David Beatty

Mr. David M. Beatty is Director of Guyana Goldfields Inc., since January 22, 2013. David co-founded Westwind Partners Inc. in 2002; an investment bank acquired by Thomas Weisel Partners Canada in 2008, where he remained as Deputy Chairman, Investment Banking, until January 2010. David was formerly Head of the Mining & Minerals Group at First Marathon Securities, and a Partner and Head of the Mining Group at Gordon Capital Corporation. David co-founded Yamana Gold Inc. with Victor Bradley in 1994, and he advised on the acquisition of the Santa Elina properties in May 2003. Mr. Beatty is currently Chairman of Rio Verde Minerals, a Brazilian potash and phosphate mine developer, Vice-Chairman of Vertichem Corporation, and is a Director of Aureus Mining Inc. Mr. Beatty is a Director of the Administration Board of Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS). Mr. Beatty served as Chief Executive Officer and Director for Rio Novo Gold Inc, a TSX-listed South American gold mine developer and explorer. Mr. Beatty holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an M.Phil. in International Affairs from Cambridge, and a B.Comm. degree from Queen's University.

Jean-Pierre Chauvin

Mr. Jean-Pierre Chauvin P.Eng, is Director of Guyana Goldfields Inc. Mr. Chauvin brings more than 40 years of combined experience in mining operations and construction management. This includes participating in the development of the Isle-Dieu mine in Matagami, Quebec for Noranda Mines Inc., which required the sinking of production and exploration shafts, as well as the development and definition of the underground operation. Later, also for Noranda, Mr. Chauvin oversaw the rehabilitation of the Gaspe Copper mine. In 1992, he relocated to Manitouwadge to head the mine department at Hemlo Gold Mine's Golden Giant mine, where he was subsequently promoted to Mine Manager, ultimately becoming General Manager of Canadian Operations for the successor company, Battle Mountain Gold. In 2004, Mr. Chauvin moved to Toronto as CEO of Patricia Mining Corp. where he was responsible for the dewatering and rehabilitation of the Island Gold project. The mine was dewatered and sufficient resources defined to allow Richmont Mines to exercise their option to bring the mine into production. In 2006, Mr. Chauvin joined GlobeStar Mining Corp. as President and COO where he oversaw development of the Cerro de Maimon project in the Dominican Republic. A greenfields undertaking, Cerro de Maimon was taken to production in 2 years from start to finish, including all planning and engineering required to develop the mine and build the on-site processing plant. Mr. Chauvin is currently employed as an interim President and CEO of PC Gold Inc. and sits on the Boards of PC Gold Inc., Macusani Yellowcake Inc, Lakeside Minerals Inc., and Andean American Gold. Mr. Chauvin also provides in Feasibility Study reviews to resource companies and is an engineer and graduate of Queen's University (B.Sc., Mining Engineering).

Robert Bondy

Mr. Robert A. Bondy is Independent Director of Guyana Goldfields Inc., since February 21, 2007. He was a securities and corporate lawyer and partner who practiced with the law firm Blake Cassels & Graydon LLP from 1970 to 2007 when he retired. Mr. Bondy is also a director of Canuc Resources Corp. Mr. Bondy holds a B.A. degree from the University of Windsor and an LL.B. degree from Osgoode Hall Law School.

Richard Williams

Mr. Richard D. Williams is Independent Director of Guyana Goldfields Inc., since January 28, 2009. Mr. Williams holds a law degree from the University of Ottawa. Mr. Williams has experience in public company reporting requirements as a result of his previous experience as an officer of Minefinders Corporation Ltd., as well as his current service as a director and officer of Waseco Resources Inc. (TSXV:WRI) and as a director of First Metals Inc. (TSX: FMA), Sparton Resources Inc. (TSXV:SRI), and Claim Post Resources Inc (TSX.V:CPS). His experience includes financing various junior mining companies and acquiring, joint venturing and disposing of mining assets and analyzing their financial impact.
