Name Description

Robert Quinn

Mr. Robert J. Quinn, J.D., has been appointed as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Great Western Minerals Group Ltd., effective April 9, 2013. Mr. Quinn has over 30 years of mining industry legal and management experience. He earned an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Denver and a law degree from the University of Denver College of Law. He also completed two years of graduate studies in Mineral Economics at The Colorado School of Mines. He is a partner in the Houston law firm of Quinn & Brooks LLP which represents mining industry investment, exploration, development and operating clients. He practiced resource law with the Denver firm of Holland & Hart LLP and served as Vice-President and General Counsel for Battle Mountain Gold Company in Houston. He has experience in mining industry merger and acquisition transactions, exploration and development agreements, financings, corporate governance, international, permitting, environmental and land management matters. He also serves on the boards of Mercator Minerals Ltd., North American Palladium Ltd. (Chairman), and Formation Metals Inc.

Marc LeVier

Mr. Marc LeVier is President, Chief Executive Officer, Director of Great Western Minerals Group Ltd. He has been appointed as President, Chief Executive Officer of the Company effective January 9, 2013. Prior thereto, President, CEO and director of Texas Rare Earth Resources Corp. Prior thereto, Mr. LeVier spent over twenty years with Newmont Mining Corporation in various senior metallurgical and management positions including General Manager of the Zarafshan/Newmont joint venture and Senior Director, Metallurgical Research and Development. Mr. LeVier holds a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering as well as a Master of Science in Metallurgical Engineering, both from Michigan Technological University in Houston, Michigan. Mr. LeVier is also a member of the Society of Mining, Metallurgy and exploration and the Mining and Metallurgical Society of America.

Thomas Mair

Mr. Thomas G. Mair has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer, Vice President - Finance of Great Western Minerals Group Ltd., effective July 8, 2013. Mr. Mair joined Golden Star Resources as Chief Financial Officer in 2007. Previously, he was at Newmont Mining Corporation in a number of key roles, including Director, Business Process Improvement; Group Financial Executive at Minera Yanacocha, Peru; Regional Controller at Winnemucca, Nevada; and President-Director of PT Newmont Minahasa Raya, Indonesia. Mr. Mair is a graduate of Queens's University with an MBA in Finance. He is also a Certified Management Accountant.

Vernon Kiss

Mr. Vernon Kiss has been appointed as Senior Vice President - Business and Corporate Development of Great Western Minerals Group Ltd., with effect from August 14, 2012. Mr. Kiss is responsible for oversight and direction of GWMG's corporate and strategic planning processes. Additionally, he is responsible for the assessment and execution of corporate development initiatives, including acquisitions, partnerships and joint ventures that contribute to the achievement of GWMG's vision to be a fully integrated rare earth producer. During his 15 year career with Cameco Corporation, one of the world's uranium companies, Mr. Kiss held senior positions including vice president, corporate development and power generation. Amongst a range of experiences, as senior legal advisor he participated in preparations for Cameco's initial listings on the Toronto and New York stock exchanges, as special project co-ordinator he oversaw the development of several domestic and international joint venture agreements and projects, and as marketing director, North America, he negotiated numerous long term supply agreements. He has also been directly involved in a wide range of acquisitions and varied joint venture arrangements. A member of the Saskatchewan Law Society since 1984, Mr. Kiss holds a B.A. (Psychology) and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Saskatchewan and is a masters candidate in the University of Saskatchewan School of Environment and Sustainability.

Michael Der

Mr. Michael Der is Vice President - Corporate and Legal Affairs, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary of Great Western Minerals Group Ltd. He is General Counsel and Vice-President Corporate and Legal Affairs since 2011, Corporate Secretary since 2012. He is Associate with Davis LLP since 2009; Prior to 2009 an Associate with Bennett Jones LLP.

John Pearson

Mr. John G. Pearson was Vice President - Exploration of Great Western Minerals Group Ltd. Mr. Pearson, an alumnus of Teck Cominco, has had more than 30 years' experience in the mineral industry, much of it in Saskatchewan. He has run the Flin Flon, Manitoba, office of Teck Cominco and has spent several years with Cameco's predecessor, working in and around La Ronge, Saskatchewan. This background has provided John with considerable in Saskatchewan Precambrian mineral deposits and their genesis, an asset that is invaluable to the Company as it develops and sustains reserves on various projects.

Baodong Zhao

Mr. Baodong Zhao is Vice President - Metallurgy of Great Western Minerals Group Ltd., since 2012. He served as Manager, Metallurgy since 2007.

J. Rupert Allan

Mr. J. Rupert Allan is Independent Director of Great Western Minerals Group Ltd. Mr. Allan has over forty years of technical and management experience with Canadian junior mining and exploration companies engaged in search and development of base and precious metals, diamonds, and uranium. Mr. Allan is based in Victoria, B.C., and is a Professional Geologist with the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta, as well as a member of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada. He is the current President and CEO of Skeena Resources Limited, which is active with gold exploration projects in Canada and Mexico. This diversity of experience is enhanced by directorships with mineral exploration companies and consulting firms such as Boss Power Corp (VP of Exploration).

Lenard Boggio

Mr. Lenard F. Boggio, CPA, has been appointed as Independent Director of Great Western Minerals Group Ltd., effective January 14, 2013. Mr. Boggio was a Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (“PwC”) and its predecessor firm Coopers & Lybrand from 1988 until his retirement from PwC in May 2012. During that time, he was Leader of the B.C. Mining Group of PwC and an audit practitioner for publicly listed Canadian, U.S. and U.K. mineral resource and energy clients. The scope of his clients’ activities included exploration, development and production stage operations in the Americas, Africa, Europe and Asia. Mr. Boggio holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Windsor, Ontario, he has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia since 1985 and was awarded the Fellow Chartered Accountant designation for distinguished service to the accounting profession and the community in 2007. Mr. Boggio earned his CPA designation in Illinois in 1999 and is a Member of the State Boards of Accountancy in Illinois and Washington State. He has also been a Member of the Institute of Corporate Directors since 2010, earning his ICD.D designation in 2012. After many years as a professional advisor to mining companies, he has more recently been serving as a Director and Audit Chair for Blue Gold Mining Inc., Goldgroup Mining Inc. and Sprott Resource Corp. His numerous avenues of professional involvement include roles as a Board Member and Vice-Chair of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, Commissioner of the Financial Institutions Commission of B.C., a Member of the Ontario Securities Commission’s Continuous Disclosure Advisory Committee and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of B.C. Technical Forum that advised the B.C. Securities Commission and TSX Venture Exchange on policy and interpretation issues.

Bruce Higson-Smith

Mr. Bruce Higson-Smith is a Independent Director of the Company. Mr. Higson-Smith is a mining engineer with more than 30 years of experience in the mining industry. He joined Golden Star Resources Ltd., a TSX and NYSE MKT listed company, in 2003 and is currently their Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy with responsibility for evaluating and executing M&A opportunities. Previously, he spent ten years reviewing projects, conducting due diligence, negotiating and structuring mining transactions around the world, initially with the Castle Group, a mining investment management company, and then with Resource Capital Funds. Mr. Higson-Smith has previously served on the boards of two Canadian public companies, is a member of the Society of Mining Engineers and received an MBA in Finance from Baruch College, City University of New York.

Don Siemens

Mr. Don R. Siemens has been appointed as Independent Director of Great Western Minerals Group Ltd., with effect from 20 January 2014. Mr. Siemens has more than 30 years of experience as a Chartered Accountant, including eight years in public practice as a partner with major accounting firms. He also has extensive experience in senior executive positions and has served on a number of public boards. He currently is a financial advisor specializing in corporate finance, reorganizations and mergers and acquisitions.
