Name Description

Robert Quinn

Mr. Robert J. Quinn, J.D., has been appointed as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Great Western Minerals Group Ltd., effective April 9, 2013. Mr. Quinn has over 30 years of mining industry legal and management experience. He earned an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Denver and a law degree from the University of Denver College of Law. He also completed two years of graduate studies in Mineral Economics at The Colorado School of Mines. He is a partner in the Houston law firm of Quinn & Brooks LLP which represents mining industry investment, exploration, development and operating clients. He practiced resource law with the Denver firm of Holland & Hart LLP and served as Vice-President and General Counsel for Battle Mountain Gold Company in Houston. He has experience in mining industry merger and acquisition transactions, exploration and development agreements, financings, corporate governance, international, permitting, environmental and land management matters.

Marc Le Vier

Mr. Marc Le Vier is President, Chief Executive Officer, Director of Great Western Minerals Group Ltd. He has been appointed as President, Chief Executive Officer of the Company effective January 9, 2013. Mr. Le Vier has been President and Chief Executive Officer as well as a Director of Texas Rare Earth Resources Corp. where he oversaw the completion of a Preliminary Economic Assessment and established the strategic direction and vision for that company. Prior to that, he spent over twenty years with Newmont Mining Corporation in senior metallurgical and management positions including General Manager of the Zarafshan/Newmont joint venture and Senior Director, Metallurgical Research and Development. Mr. Le Vier holds a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering as well as a Master of Science degree in Metallurgical Engineering, both from Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan.

James Davidson

Mr. James Davidson is Chief Financial Officer of Great Western Minerals Group Ltd. Mr. Davidson was, most recently, Chief Financial Officer with Athabasca Potash Inc. where he managed all financial and administrative functions of the company including governance, third party and management reporting, treasury, human resource and International Financial Reporting Standards compliance. Additionally, he worked closely with the exploration project team in the preparation of Athabasca Potash's Environmental Impact Study and the Pre-feasibility Study. Previously, Mr. Davidson spent 19 years in the finance divisions of Weyerhaeuser in several locations throughout North America. He held senior management positions that focused on the enhancement of financial, production and technology processes, as well as SAP system deployment, and the standardization of accounting processes at forty of Weyerhaeuser's sites. Jim Davidson graduated from the College of Commerce at the University of Saskatchewan in 1975 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1980.

Vernon Kiss

Mr. Vernon Kiss has been appointed as Senior Vice President - Business and Corporate Development of Great Western Minerals Group Ltd with effect from August 14, 2012. Mr. Kiss is responsible for oversight and direction of GWMG's corporate and strategic planning processes. Additionally, he is responsible for the assessment and execution of corporate development initiatives, including acquisitions, partnerships and joint ventures that contribute to the achievement of GWMG's vision to be a fully integrated rare earth producer. During his 15 year career with Cameco Corporation, one of the world's uranium companies, Mr. Kiss held senior positions including vice president, corporate development and power generation. Amongst a range of experiences, as senior legal advisor he participated in preparations for Cameco's initial listings on the Toronto and New York stock exchanges, as special project co-ordinator he oversaw the development of several domestic and international joint venture agreements and projects, and as marketing director, North America, he negotiated numerous long term supply agreements. He has also been directly involved in a wide range of acquisitions and varied joint venture arrangements. A member of the Saskatchewan Law Society since 1984, Mr. Kiss holds a B.A. (Psychology) and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Saskatchewan and is a masters candidate in the University of Saskatchewan School of Environment and Sustainability.

Ronald Hochstein

Mr. Ronald F. Hochstein has been appointed as Lead Independent Director of Great Western Minerals Group Ltd., effective April 9, 2013. Mr. Hochstein is currently President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Denison Mines Corp. ("Denison"), positions he has held since 2009. For three years prior he had been Denison's President and Chief Operating Officer. Within his CEO role, Mr. Hochstein negotiated a $100 Million financing and restructured Denison following the sale of its U.S. assets. Previously, his senior management positions were with International Uranium Corporation, H.A. Simons Ltd. Mining Group, Noranda Inc. and North Canadian Oils Ltd. His responsibilities included project development, exploration activities, public company reporting, regulatory negotiations and mine operations management. In addition to his current duties with Denison, Mr. Hochstein is President of Uranium Participation Corporation, an investment holding company which invests substantially all of its assets in uranium. Mr. Hochstein holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Science in Mineral Process Engineering from the University of Alberta.

Lenard Boggio

Mr. Lenard F. Boggio, B.A., B.Comm., FCA, CPA (Illinois), ICD.D, CPA, has been appointed as Director of Great Western Minerals Group Ltd., effective January 14, 2013. Mr. Boggio was a Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP ("PwC") and its predecessor firm Coopers & Lybrand from 1988 until his retirement from PwC in May 2012. During that time, he was Leader of the B.C. Mining Group of PwC and an audit practitioner for publicly listed Canadian, U.S. and U.K. mineral resource and energy clients. The scope of his clients' activities included exploration, development and production stage operations in the Americas, Africa, Europe and Asia. Mr. Boggio holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Windsor, Ontario, he has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia since 1985 and was awarded the Fellow Chartered Accountant designation for distinguished service to the accounting profession and the community in 2007. Mr. Boggio earned his CPA designation in Illinois in 1999 and is a Member of the State Boards of Accountancy in Illinois and Washington State. He has also been a Member of the Institute of Corporate Directors since 2010, earning his ICD.D designation in 2012.

David Kennedy

Mr. David Kennedy, C.Eng., has resigned as Director of Great Western Minerals Group Ltd., with effective from 6 June 2013. In addition to serving as a director of the Corporation, Mr. Kennedy is the CEO Rare Earth Extraction Co. Limited and chairs the Safety, Health & Environment Committee. Mr. Kennedy founded Less Common Metals Ltd. (LCM) in 1992 and held the position of Managing Director of LCM until his appointment as Managing Director, Metals and Alloys, GWMG. He has worked with rare-earth materials since 1980 and has published several papers on the technology and economics of rare earth alloy production. Some of his previous experience includes working as Technical Manager at Johnson Matthey Rare Earth Products. Mr. Kennedy is a graduate in Metallurgy and a Chartered Engineer; he is also a Professional Member of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.

J. Rupert Allan

Mr. J. Rupert Allan is Independent Director of Great Western Minerals Group Ltd. In addition to serving as a director of the Corporation, Mr. Allan sits on the Audit Committee. Mr. Allan has over forty years of technical and management experience with Canadian junior mining and exploration companies engaged in search and development of base and precious metals, diamonds, and uranium. Mr. Allan is based in Vancouver, B.C., and is a Professional Geologist with the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta, as well as a member of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada. The majority of Mr. Allan’s work has been focused on a diverse range of properties in Canada, but he also has worked in many areas around the world including: Bulgaria, Sweden, Mali, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Zimbabwe, Jamaica, Ecuador, Mexico, the mainland United States, and parts of Alaska. Currently, he is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Skeena Resources Limited, which is active with gold exploration projects in Canada and Mexico. This diversity of experience is enhanced by directorships with mineral exploration companies and consulting firms such as Boss Power Corp (VP of Exploration), Santoy Resources Limited (technical advisor), and Keewatin Consultants (2002) Inc. (managing director).

George Ireland

Mr. George R. Ireland is Independent Director of Great Western Minerals Group Ltd. Mr. Ireland is the Chief Investment Officer and Managing Member of the Geologic Resource Partners LLC and Portfolio Manager of the associated Geologic Resource Funds. Mr. Ireland has 30 years of experience in all aspects of the resource sector, ranging from field geology to banking and venture capital. Mr. Ireland founded Geologic Resource Partners LLC in 2004. From 2000 to 2004, he was the general partner of Ring Partners, LP, an investment partnership that later merged with the Geologic Fund. From 1991 to 2000, he was an analyst for Knott Partners LP. Mr. Ireland graduated from Phillips Academy and the University of Michigan with a B.S. degree from the School of Natural Resources. Mr. Ireland also serves on the board of directors of Merrill & Ring Inc, a private timber company in the United States.

Ian McNaughton

Mr. Ian S. McNaughton has resigned as Independent Director of Great Western Minerals Group Ltd., with effective 6 June 2013. In addition to serving as a director, Mr. McNaughton chairs the Audit Committee and sits on the Compensation, Nominating & Corporate Governance Committee. Mr. McNaughton has over 35 years experience in corporate banking, commercial banking, management, accounting and administration with The Toronto Dominion Bank. He holds a Fellowship in the Institute of Canadian Bankers (FICB). He has the to understand and evaluate financial statements that are prepared using IFRS, the principles applied to natural resource companies’ financial statements and the internal controls required to accurately report the company’s financial position.
