Name Description

Joseph Rho

Mr. Joseph K. Rho is Independent Chairman of the Board of Hanmi Financial Corporation. Mr. Rho to serve as a Director and appointing him as Chairman of Hanmi and Hanmi Bank, our Board considered, in particular, the importance of the Chairman’s role in ensuring the effective role and operation of our Board. Our Board believes that Mr. Rho is an effective coordinator of multiple Hanmi Bank constituencies, including its stockholders, customers, officers, employees, and regulators. In addition, our Board considered the critical role Mr. Rho played in assisting Hanmi in raising capital in 2009, 2010 and 2011. Lastly, in appointing Mr. Rho as Chairman, our Board considered that Mr. Rho is one of the largest individual stockholder, and as such, can speak to building long-term stockholder value and provide valuable insight into the concerns of stockholders and investors.

Chong Guk Kum

Mr. Chong Guk Kum is President, Chief Executive Officer, Director of Hanmi Financial Corporation and Hanmi Bank, a subsidiary of Hanmi Financial Corp. Prior to joining Hanmi and the Bank, Mr. Kum served as President and Chief Executive Officer of First California Financial Group, Inc. since 2007. He also served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of First California Bank (formerly known as Camarillo Community Bank) since 1999. Prior to that, Mr. Kum held management positions with banks in Colorado and California. Mr. Kum currently serves on the government relations council for the American Bankers Association and is a board member of the California Bankers Association and the Ventura County Council Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Kum is also a past president of the Board of Directors of Community Bankers of California. Mr. Kum is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, received his Masters Degree in Business Administration from Pepperdine University and is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking.

Romolo Santarosa

Mr. Romolo “Ron” C. Santarosa is Chief Financial Officer, Senior Executive Vice President of the Company. Mr. Santarosa has over 22 years of experience in banking and financial services. Most recently, from June 2013 – June 2015, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Opus Bank, where he was responsible for the operational and support functions of Opus Bank. Mr. Santarosa served as the Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at First California Financial Group, Inc. and its bank subsidiary, First California Bank, from November 2002 to May 2013. Prior to 2002, Mr. Santarosa served in leadership positions with several financial institutions and was an Audit Senior Manager with Price Waterhouse. Mr. Santarosa graduated from Ithaca College, with a B.S. in Accounting and a Minor in Mathematics.

Bonita Lee

Ms. Bonita I. Lee has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer, Senior Executive Vice President of Hanmi Financial Corporation and Hanmi Bank, a subsidiary of Hanmi Financial Corp. Prior to joining Hanmi and the Bank, Ms. Lee was at BBCN Bancorp, Inc. (“BBCN”) where she served as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer since May 2013, Acting President and Chief Operating Officer from February 2013 to April 2013, and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer from December 2011 to January 2013. At BBCN, Ms. Lee managed its business units and developed and implemented new products and services for business and targeted high net worth customers. Prior to the merger of Nara Bancorp, Inc. (“Nara”) with Center Financial Corporation, pursuant to which BBCN was formed, Ms. Lee served in various management roles at Nara, including as Chief Operating Officer from March 2009 to November 2011, during which she managed Nara’s business units and helped develop its strategic plans, and as Chief Credit Officer from April 2005 to September 2008, during which she was responsible for the overall management of Nara Bank’s lending operations and loan portfolio. Ms. Lee also served as Director and Regional President of the Western Region for Shinhan Bank America from September 2008 to March 2009. Ms. Lee received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Illinois, Chicago.

Min Park

Mr. Min S. Park is Executive Vice President, Chief Credit Officer of the Hanmi financial corporation. He was EVP, Deputy Chief Credit Officer of the Company.

Harry Chung

Mr. Harry H. Chung, CPA., is Director of the Company. Mr. Chung brings nearly 25 years of experience in capital markets and financial services. He currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Breakwater Investment Management, a private investment firm based in Los Angeles, California specializing in direct debt and equity investments in leading lower middle market growth companies. Prior to his current role, Mr. Chung served as the Chief Financial Officer of Imperial Capital, a full-service investment bank offering comprehensive services to institutional investors and middle market companies. Before this, Mr. Chung held numerous leadership positions at Jefferies and Company, Inc., a global investment bank. Mr. Chung earned his B.S. in accounting from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana.

Thomas Williams

Mr. Thomas J. Williams is Director of the Company. Mr. Williams began his career in 1985 with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), a division of the U.S. Treasury Department as a National Bank Examiner. After spending ten years with the OCC, Mr. Williams joined the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco as a Principal Examiner for five years, where he had lead responsibility for the supervision of Wells Fargo and served on the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision's Credit Risk Modeling Task Force. Since 2000, Mr. Williams has been in the private sector as the Director of Regulatory Relations at Silicon Valley Bank in Santa Clara, California for six years; the Executive Director of Commercial Credit Review at Capital One in New York for two years. Most recently, and until his retirement last May, Mr. Williams was for four years a Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer of BofI Federal Bank in San Diego, California, where he oversaw all risk-related functions, including Policies, Vendor Management, Model Risk Management, Internal Audit, Regulatory Affairs, Credit Review, Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management. Mr. Williams has a B.S. degree in Economics from the University of South Dakota.

Michael Yang

Mr. Michael Yang is Director of the Company., effective February 2, 2016. Mr. Yang has more than 30 years of experience as a successful entrepreneur and corporate executive. He is currently the Founder and CEO of MSY LLC, a private investment company with holdings in real estate and equites. Prior to this, Mr. Yang was Co-founder and CEO of three technology start-ups, which were sold to larger enterprises at significant premiums, including mySimon, Inc. which was acquired by CNET. Mr. Yang began his career at Xerox Corporation and Samsung Electronics, Co. Ltd., where he held positions of increasing responsibility in engineering, marketing and corporate development. Mr. Yang earned his B.S. in electrical engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, his M.S. in computer science at Columbia University and his MBA from the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.

John Ahn

Mr. John J. Ahn is an Independent Director of Hanmi financial corporation. He is a former Managing Director of Maxcor Financial Inc., a New York based institutional brokerage firm (2003-2004) and Partner at Standard Capital Group, Inc., a middle market investment banking firm (1995-2003); former board member of publically traded MAIR Holdings and Regent Communications; received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Williams College in Massachusetts. Currently, Mr. Ahn serves as a board member of the Korea Finance Society (KFS), which promotes and advances the careers of Korean financial professional.

Christie Chu

Ms. Christie K. Chu, CPA is an Director of the Company. Ms. Chu, aged 50, has over 27 years of experience working in the accounting industry. Her practice focuses on small to medium size businesses. She is currently the owner of CKC Accountancy Corporation, a full service accounting firm that provides tax, management, and financial consulting services, along with bookkeeping, payroll, and financial statement review. Prior to her current position, Ms. Chu held positions with KPMG, Ernst & Young, LLP, and Arthur Anderson & Co. Ms. Chu received her B.A. in Business and Economics from University of California, Los Angeles.

Paul Kim

Mr. Paul Seon-Hong Kim is Independent Director of Hanmi Financial Corporation. He is Retired; former President & Chief Executive Officer, Center Financial Corp/Center Bank, where he converted it to a NASDAQ listed company with a 13-fold increase in total market capitalization (1998 to 2007); former President & CEO, Uniti Financial/Uniti Bank (2008); served in various executive capacities, including as Chief Credit Officer and Chief Financial Officer, Hanmi Bank (1986 to 1998); former Adjunctive Professor, Cal State University (2007, 2009); received a Master of Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley.

Joon Lee

Mr. Joon Hyung H. Lee is Independent Director of Hanmi Financial Corporation. He has been Principal, Root-3 Corporation, a property management, real estate investment, and development company (1983 to present); former Chairman of our Boards, Hanmi Financial director (2000 – present) and Hanmi Bank (1989 – present); former President, Byucksan America, Inc. (1988 to 1999); received a Master of Business Administration from New York University.

David Rosenblum

Mr. David L. Rosenblum has been appointed as Independent Director of Hanmi Financial Corp, effective April 1, 2014. Mr. Rosenblum served as a management consultant with Deloitte Consulting LLP for nearly 34 years. He was the National Managing Director of Consulting Corporate Development and a key leader of the Strategy & Operations practice; Currently President of the Southern California Chapter of NACD and a member of the board of the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. Formerly served on the Board of Deloitte Consulting LLP (2012-2013) and on the Board of Trustees of Wesleyan University (2011-2014). Graduate of Wesleyan University with a B.A. in Economics and the Wharton School with a MBA in Finance.
