Name Description

Dinesh Paliwal

Mr. Dinesh C. Paliwal is Chairman of the Board, President, Chief Executive Officer of Harman International Industries Inc. Mr. Paliwal has served as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President since July 1, 2008. He joined the company in July 2007 as Vice Chairman, CEO and President. Prior to joining the company, from January 2006 until June 2007, Mr. Paliwal served as President of ABB Ltd., a provider of industrial automation, power transmission systems and services. From January 2004 until June 2007, Mr. Paliwal also served as Chairman and CEO of ABB Inc., and from October 2002 to December 2005 he served as President of ABB Automation. Mr. Paliwal also serves as a director of ADT Corporation. Mr. Paliwal served as a director of Embarq Corporation and Tyco International Ltd. during the last five years.

Herbert Parker

Mr. Herbert K. Parker is Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President of Harman International Industries Inc. He joined the Company in June 2008 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. From August 15, 2008 until October 1, 2008, Mr. Parker also served as the Company's principal accounting officer. Prior to joining the Company, he served as Chief Financial Officer of ABB North America from January 2006 to May 2008.

Dr. I. P. Park is Executive Vice President, Chief Technology Officer of Harman International Industries Inc. Prior to joining the Company, he served as Vice President of Intelligent Computing Laboratory at Samsung Electronics, from September 2006 through December 2011. While at Samsung, Dr. Park headed advanced software R&D teams responsible for developing Samsung’s future software technologies, and he provided leadership in core software research, standardization and open source activities. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Columbia University, and holds numerous patents in the field of computing.

Ralph Santana

Mr. Ralph Santana has been appointed as Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer of Harman International Industries Inc. effective April 1, 2013. Mr. Santana joins HARMAN from Samsung Electronics America, where he was SVP and Chief Marketing Officer for Samsung North America. His responsibilities included accountability for Samsung’s brand communications, digital marketing, market intelligence, and product innovation team in North America. Previously, he spent 16 years at PepsiCo where he held a variety of executive marketing and senior product management roles that spanned North America and international business units. He holds an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and a B.A. in English Literature from Dartmouth College. He has also served as a Board member for the Association of National Advertisers and the National Sports Marketing Network. Mr. Santana will be based in Stamford, Connecticut.

Todd Suko

Mr. Todd A. Suko is Executive Vice President, General Counsel of Harman International Industries Inc. He joined the Company in October 2008 as Executive Vice President and General Counsel. From October 2008 through December 2011 he also served as Secretary. Prior to joining the Company Mr. Suko served as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for UAP Holding Corp. and United Agri Products from 2001 to September 2008. Mr. Suko is a member of the bar in Washington, DC and Virginia and is a Commander in the United States Navy Reserve.

Blake Augsburger

Mr. Blake W. Augsburger is Executive Vice President, President - Professional Division and Country Manager, North America of Harman International Industries Inc. He joined the Company in 2001 as the President of Crown International. In 2006, Mr. Augsburger was promoted to Executive Vice President and President- Professional Division. Mr. Augsburger also serves as Country Manager for North America. In 2011, Mr. Augsburger was named to the board of directors of Lakeland Financial.

Sachin Lawande

Mr. Sachin Lawande is Executive Vice President, President - Infotainment Division of Harman International Industries Inc. He has been appointed as President of the Infotainment Division and is no longer Co-President of the Lifestyle Division effective July 1, 2013. He joined the Company in 2001, and has served as Company's Executive Vice President and Co-President, Lifestyle and Infotainment Divisions since July 1, 2011. From January 2009 to February 2012, Mr. Lawande served as company's Chief Technology Officer. From April 2010 to June 30, 2011, Mr. Lawande served as Co-President—Automotive Division. From 2008 to January 2009, Mr. Lawande served as Harman’s Chief Innovation Officer, where he was responsible for guiding software strategy and key development partnerships and was instrumental in launching an offshore development center in India as part of Harman’s strategy for optimizing its global footprint. Michael Mauser

Mr. Michael Mauser is Executive Vice President, President - Lifestyle Division of Harman International Industries Inc. He was appinted as President - Lifestyle Division and no longer Co-President of the Infotainment Division of the Company effective July 1, 2013. He joined the Company in 1997, and has served as Executive Vice President and Co-President—Infotainment and Lifestyle Divisions since July 1, 2011. From April 2010 through June 30, 2011, Mr. Mauser served as Executive Vice President and Co-President—Automotive Division. From May 2005 until April 2010, Mr. Mauser served as Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of the Company's Automotive Division.

David Slump

Mr. David Slump is Executive Vice President - Corporate Development of Harman International Industries Inc. From January 2009 through June 30, 2011, he served as President—Consumer Audio Division. From January 2009 to May 2010, he also served as Company's Vice President, Corporate Development. Prior to joining the Company, from 2008 to January 2009, Mr. Slump served as Senior Vice President for Landis + Gyr Holdings, where he directed the company’s global brand strategy and evaluated portfolio and architecture investments. Ann Korologos

Ms. Ann McLaughlin Korologos is Lead Independent Director of Harman International Industries, Inc. She has served as Lead Director since May 2008. From April 2004 to April 2009, she served as Chairman of the RAND Corporation Board of Trustees. She is Chairman Emeritus of The Aspen Institute, where she served as Chairman from 1996 to 2000. Ms. Korologos was a Senior Advisor to Benedetto, Gartland & Company, Inc., an investment banking firm, from 1996 to 2005. From 1987 until 1989 she served as the United States Secretary of Labor. Ms. Korologos is a director of AMR Corporation and its subsidiary, American Airlines, Inc., Host Hotels & Resorts, Inc., Kellogg Company and Vulcan Materials Company, a provider of construction aggregates.

Dr. Jiren Liu is Director of Harman International Industries, Inc. Dr. Liu is the founder, Chairman and CEO of Neusoft Corporation, a IT solutions and services provider in China founded in 2001. Dr. Liu is also a professor and vice president at the Northeastern University China, serves as vice chairman of the China Software Industry Association, and is a standing member of the Chinese Association of Automation.

Adriane Brown

Ms. Adriane M. Brown has been appointed as Independent Director of Harman International Industries Inc., effective June 25, 2013. She is currently the President and Chief Operating Officer of Intellectual Ventures, a privately held invention capital firm that focuses on the creation of new inventions and the introduction of new models for monetizing inventions as stand-alone assets. Prior to joining Intellectual Ventures, Ms. Brown worked for Honeywell International, a Fortune 100 publicly traded diversified technology and manufacturing leader serving customers worldwide with aerospace products and services, control technologies for buildings, homes and industry, automotive products, turbochargers and specialty materials. Ms. Brown served as Senior Vice President, Energy Strategy from May 2009 to September 2009 and as President and CEO of Honeywell Transportation Systems from 2005 to 2009. Ms. Brown earned both a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health and a Ph.D. in Humane Letters from Old Dominion University. Ms. Brown was also a Sloan Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she earned a Master of Science degree in Management.

John Diercksen

Mr. John W. Diercksen has been appointed as Independent Director of Harman International Industries Inc., effective June 25, 2013. He is currently Executive Vice President of Verizon Communications (“Verizon”). From 2003 through 2012, Mr. Diercksen was Executive Vice President – Strategy, Development and Planning for Verizon. Mr. Diercksen earned his MBA from Pace University and his Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from Iona College.

Harald Einsmann

Dr. Harald Einsmann, Ph.D., is Independent Director of Harman International Industries, Inc. He served as an Operating Partner of EQT Partners AB, a European private equity group, from 2000 until 2006. Prior to joining EQT, Dr. Einsmann was an Executive Vice President of The Procter & Gamble Company worldwide, and its President of Europe, Middle East and Africa. He serves as a director of Checkpoint Systems, Inc., a provider of integrated system solutions for retail security, labeling and merchandising. Dr. Einsmann also served as a director of Tesco Plc, the Carlson Group and Rezidor Hotel Group in Scandinavia during the last five years.

Edward Meyer

Mr. Edward H. Meyer is Independent Director of Harman International Industries, Inc. He has served as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of Ocean Road Advisors, Inc., an investment management company, since January 2007. From 1972 to 2006, Mr. Meyer served as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Grey Global Group, Inc., a global advertising and marketing services company. Mr. Kenneth M. Reiss is Independent Director of Harman International Industries, Inc. He served as a partner with Ernst & Young LLP, an accounting firm he joined in 1965, from 1977 until his retirement in June 2003. While at Ernst & Young, he also served as Managing Partner for the Assurance and Advisory Practice in the firm’s New York office and served as the lead auditor for several publicly traded companies, including Toys “R” Us, Inc., Staples, Inc., Phillips-Van Heusen, Inc. and Columbia Pictures. Mr. Reiss serves on the board of directors of The Children’s Place and The Wet Seal, Inc., both of which are national specialty retailers. Mr. Reiss also served as a director of Eddie Bauer Holdings, Inc. and Guitar Center, Inc. during the last five years.

Hellene Runtagh

Ms. Hellene S. Runtagh is Independent Director of Harman International Industries Inc. She formerly served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Berwind Group from 2001 to 2002, a diversified pharmaceutical services, industrial manufacturing and real estate company. From 1998 through 2000, she served as Executive Vice President of Universal Studios. Prior to joining Universal, Ms. Runtagh spent 25 years at General Electric Company in a variety of leadership positions. Ms. Runtagh also serves on the board of directors of Lincoln Electric Holdings, Inc., a full-line manufacturer and reseller of welding and cutting products, and NeuStar Inc., a provider of clearinghouse services to the communications industry. Frank Sklarsky

Mr. Frank S. Sklarsky is Independent Director of Harman International Industries, Inc. He most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Tyco International Ltd. from December 2010 to September 2012. Prior thereto, from October 2006 to November 2010, Mr. Sklarsky served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Eastman Kodak Co. Mr. Sklarsky served as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of ConAgra Foods, Inc. from November 2004 to October 2006. Earlier in his career, Mr. Sklarsky spent 20 years with Chrysler in a series of senior financial leadership roles, and he also served in executive finance positions with Dell, Inc. Mr. Sklarsky earned his MBA from Harvard University and his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Rochester Institute of Technology, where he serves on the Board of Trustees. He is also a certified public accountant.

Gary Steel

Mr. Gary G. Steel is Independent Director of Harman International Industries, Inc. He has served as the Head of Group HR and Sustainability and a member of the Group Executive Committee of ABB Ltd. since January 2003. Prior to joining ABB Ltd., Mr. Steel served in various executive positions with Royal Dutch Shell plc, including Human Resources Director for Global Finance for Shell International B.V., a wholly owned subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc. Mr. Steel currently serves on the board of directors of publicly listed ABB subsidiaries in India and Sweden.
