Name Description

Wolfgang Reitzle

Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Reitzle Chairman of the Board of Directors at Holcim Ltd since April 29, 2014. Previously, he was Non-Executive Member of the Board of Directors at the company from April 17, 2012. He studied engineering and economics at the Technische Universitaet Muenchen and holds a degree and a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering. From 1976 to 1999 he worked for the car manufacturer BMW, where in 1987 he was appointed regular member of the Executive Board, responsible for research and development. In 1999, he took over as CEO of the Premier Automotive Group and Vice President of the US car manufacturer Ford. In 2002, he joined the Executive Committee of Linde, a world-leading gases and engineering company, and was CEO from 2003 to 2014. Wolfgang Reitzle is also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Continental AG, Hannover, and Member of the Supervisory Board (as of June 1, 2014 Chairman of the Supervisory Board) of Medical Park AG, Amerang, Germany and Member of the Supervisory Board of Springer SE, Berlin, Germany. He was elected to the Board of Directors of Holcim Ltd in 2012. He is also a member of the Supervisory Board of Hawesko AG, elected in 2014.

Bernard Fontana

Mr. Bernard Fontana has been Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Executive Committee at Holcim Ltd since February 1, 2012. His career began with Groupe SNPE in France. In 1998, he was appointed Head of the United States operations, and from 2001 to 2004 was Member of the Executive Committee. Shortly after joining ArcelorMittal in 2004, he was given responsibility for Human Resources (HR), Information Technology (IT) and business development at Flat Carbon. From 2006 to 2007, he was Member of the Management Committee of ArcelorMittal with responsibility for the Automotive Worldwide Business Unit. In his capacity as Group Management Committee member, he was subsequently responsible for HR and the global alliance with Nippon Steel. From 2010 until 2011, Mr. Fontana was CEO of Aperam, a Luxembourg-domiciled listed corporate group that was spun off from ArcelorMittal in the fall of 2010. He holds a degree in engineering from the Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Techniques Avancees in Paris.

Beat Hess

Dr. Beat W. Hess, Ph.D., has been Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors at Holcim Ltd since May 5, 2011. He has been Member of the Nomination & Compensation Committee, Audit Committee and Member of the Governance & Strategy Committee.He acted as Non-Executive Director at the Company from May 6, 2010. From 1977 to 2003, he was initially Legal Counsel and subsequently General Counsel for the ABB Group. From 2003 until the end of 2010, he served as Legal Director and Member of the Executive Committee of Royal Dutch Shell, Den Haag until the end of 2010. He is also Member of the Board of Directors of Nestle S.A., Vevey, Switzerland, and has been nominated as Member of the Board of Directors of Sonova Holding AG, Staefa. Dr. Hess has Law degrees from the Universite de Geneve, Switzerland (1972) and the University of Miami, USA (1976). He also holds a Doctorate in Law (Ph.D.) from the Universite de Fribourg in Switzerland, which he obtained in 1977.

Thomas Aebischer

Mr. Thomas Aebischer has been Chief Financial Officer and Member of the Executive Committee at Holcim Ltd since April 1, 2011. On January 1, 2014, he took over the responsibility for the Company's Investor Relations as well as Risk Management. He joined the Company's Executive Committee on January 1, 2011. Since September 1, 2012 he has taken over additional responsibility for Procurement and Information Technology (IT), as well as for the newly created Merger & Acquisitions function and – on an interim basis – for the function HTS Accounting & Administration. He started his career with the tax authorities of the Canton of Berne. From 1988 to 1996, Mr. Aebischer worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Hong Kong and Zurich. In 1996, he joined Holcim Group Support Ltd, and from 1998 to 2002 acted as Head of Corporate Controlling. From 2002 to 2003, he was Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Holcim Apasco in Mexico. In 2010, the Board of Directors of Holcim Ltd has appointed him as Member of the Executive Committee. Mr. Aebischer is a Swiss Certified Accountant and alumnus of the Advanced Management Program of the Harvard Business School.

Xavier Dedullen

Mr. Xavier Dedullen has been Member of the Executive Committee, Chief Legal and Compliance Officer and Group General Counsel at Holcim Ltd since June 28, 2013. Mr. Horia Adrian has been Eastern and Southeastern Europe, including CIS/Caspian region Area Manager at Holcim Ltd since September 1, 2012. He joined Holcim Romania in 2011 as Project Manager. In 2004, he became Sales&Marketing Director at Garadagh Cement, Azerbaijan. Daniel Bach

Mr. Daniel N. Bach has been South East Asia Manager (except India) at Holcim Ltd. He has PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Eidgenoessischen Technischen Hochschule (ETH, Zuerich). He joined the Company in 1994 as Project Manager and Manager. In 1998, he became part of Business Risk Management. In 2012, he was appointed Technical Manager of Holcim Indonesia. From 2004 to 2007, he was Assistant to Executive Committee. In 2007, he became the Senior Vice President Manufacturing at Holcim Philippines.

Dominique Drouet

Mr. Dominique Drouet has been Africa, Middle East Area Manager at Holcim Ltd since January 1, 2015. He joined Holcim in 1994 as CEO of Holcim Outre Mer and was appointed CEO of Holcim Lebanon in 1999. He took over his current role in 2004. Before working for Holcim, Dominique occupied various engineering, commercial and managerial roles in the construction materials industry. He holds a degree in Engineering from the Ecole des Travaux Publics in Paris and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Toulouse.

Urs Fankhauser

Mr. Urs Fankhauser has been Western Europe (including Spain, excluding UK) Area Manager at Holcim Ltd since September 1, 2012. He graduated in 1989 from Eidgenoessischen Technischen Hochschule Zuerich (ETH Zuerich). In 1991, he began his career as Process Engineer at Holcim Group Support Ltd. In 2002, he was appointed manager by Holcim Croatia and since 2004, he has been Technical Director of the Eastern Europe region. Paul Hugentobler

Mr. Paul Heinz Hugentobler has been Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer of Holcim Ltd since January 1, 2014. He was Member of the Executive Committee, responsible for South Asia & ASEAN excluding Philippines at the company since January 1, 2002. He joined what is now Holcim Group Support Ltd in 1980 as Project Manager and in 1994 was appointed Area Manager for Holcim Ltd. From 1999 until 2000, he also served as Chief Executive Officer of Siam City Cement, headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand. Mr. Hugentobler has a degree in civil engineering from Eidgenoessische Technische Hochschule Zuerich (the ETH Zurich) and a degree in economic science from Universitaet St. Gallen (the University of St. Gallen).

Aidan Lynam

Mr. Aidan Lynam has been Corporate Functional Manager for Technical support for South Asia and continued oversight of Holcim activities in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka since He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from University college Dublin and holds Executive MBA from IMD in Lausanne. He joined Holcim Group Support Ltd as Services Consultant and worked in Egypt and Switzerland. After several years at Krupp Polysius in Germany, he came back to the Group in 1996, where Morning Star project for Holcim Vietnam was commissioned. In 1999, he took over the position of Terminal Manager. In 2002, he was appointed Technical Head of Holcim Lanka, while in 2006, he returned as Chief Executive of Holcim Vietnam. Until December 31, 2013, he served as Area Manager and Member of Senior Management of Holcim Ltd for Bangladesh, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.

Kaspar Wenger

Mr. Kaspar E. A. Wenger has been Member of the Executive Committee, Central Europe (Switzerland, Southern Germany, Italy) Area Manager at Holcim Ltd since September 1, 2012. He holds a degree in Economics from St. Gallen Universitaet and completed further studies at Harvard Business School. He began his career at UBS and joined Holcim in 1994 as Consultant for Holcim New Zealand. A year later, he took over duties in China, where he was Chief Representative of China. From 1998 to 2000, he was Assistant of Executive Committee responsible for the Far East region. In 2000, he was appointed Marketing & Sales Manager for Holcim Switzerland and in 2004 he became Country Manager.

Urs Bleisch

Mr. Urs Bleisch has been Member of the Executive Committee, CEO Holcim Group Services Ltd and Holcim Technology Ltd and PMO for the Holcim Leadership Journey at Holcim Ltd since September 30, 2014. Roland Koehler

Mr. Roland Koehler has been Member of the Executive Committee, Responsible for Group region Europe at Holcim Ltd since September 1, 2012. This region consists of Western (excluding the United Kingdom), Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe, as well as the CIS/Caspian region. Prior to that, he served as Member of the Executive Committee with responsibility for Europe excluding the United Kingdom at the Company from March 15, 2010. He acted as Chief Executive Officer of Holcim Group Support Ltd till August 31, 2012. He has been Corporate Functional Manager and responsible for Corporate Strategy and Risk Management of the Company. He joined building materials group Hunziker (Switzerland) in 1988 as Head of Finance and Administration and transferred to Holcim Group Support Ltd as a management consultant in 1994. From 1995 to 1998, he was Head of Corporate Controlling and from 1999 to end 2001 Head of Business Risk Management. Since 2002, he headed Corporate Strategy & Risk Management. Effective January 1, 2005, he was promoted to Corporate Functional Manager responsible for Corporate Strategy & Risk Management. He is a graduate in Business Administration from Universitaet Zuerich.

Andreas Leu

Mr. Andreas Leu has been Member of the Executive Committee responsible for Latin America at Holcim Ltd since January 1, 2011. After working for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), he joined Holcim Group Support Ltd in 1999 as a consultant. In 2002, he was appointed General Manager of Holcim Centroamerica, before assuming the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Holcim Ecuador in 2003. During 2006 and 2007, he also held the position of CEO of Holcim Venezuela. On August 1, 2008, Mr. Leu was appointed Area Manager of Holcim Ltd, with responsibility for Colombia, Ecuador, Argentina, Chile and Brazil. He studied Business Administration at Universitaet St. Gallen and holds an MBA from the Johnson Graduate School at Cornell University.

Bernard Terver

Mr. Bernard Terver has served Member of the Executive Board, Responsible for South Asia and Africa Middle East of Holcim Ltd since January 1, 2014. He was Member of the Executive Committee, responsible for North America and UK at the company from September 1, 2012. He concluded his studies at the Ecole Polytechnique in Paris in 1976. After beginning his career in the steel industry, in 1977 he moved to cement producer CEDEST, which was taken over by Holcim France in 1994. In 1999, Mr. Terver became Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Holcim Colombia and in 2003 he was appointed Area Manager for the Andes nations, Central America and the Caribbean. Mr. Terver was appointed Area Manager and Member of Senior Management of Holcim Ltd, with effect April 1, 2010.

Ian Thackwray

Mr. Ian S. Thackwray has been Member of the Executive Board, Responsible for the Region East Asia Pacific & Trading of Holcim Ltd since January 1, 2014. He was Member of the Executive Committee, responsible for East Asia, China, the Philippines, Oceania and Holcim Trading at the company from September 1, 2012. Prior to that, he served as Member of the Executive Committee with responsibility for East Asia excluding Philippines, and Oceania at the Company from July 1, 2010. From September 2006 till 2010 he has been Chief Executive Officer of Holcim Philippines. In 2009, the Board of Directors of Holcim Ltd has appointed him Member of the Executive Committee. He has joined the Executive Committee at the beginning of 2010. In 1979 Mr. Thackwray obtained a Masters degree in Chemistry from University of Oxford and is also a chartered accountant.

Alexander Gut

Dr. Alexander Gut has been Non-Executive Member of the Board of Directors at Holcim Ltd since May 5, 2011. He has been Chairman of the Audit Committee at the Company since May 5, 2011. From 1991 to 2001, he was with KPMG in Zurich and London and from 2001 to 2003 with Ernst & Young in Zurich, being promoted to Partner in 2002. From 2003 to 2007 he was a Partner with KPMG in Zurich, being promoted to the Executive Committee of KPMG Switzerland in 2005. Adrian Loader

Mr. Adrian Loader has served as Non-Executive Member of the Board of Directors at Holcim Ltd since 2006. He is Member of the Nomination & Compensation Committee at the Company. He began his career at Bowater in 1969 and joined Shell the following year. Until 1998, he held various management positions in Latin America, Asia, Europe and on corporate level. In 1998, he was appointed President of Shell Europe Oil Products and became Director for Strategic Planning, Sustainable Development and External Affairs in 2004. Since 2005, he was Director of the Strategy and Business Development Directorate of Royal Dutch Shell and became President and Chief Executive Officer of Shell Canada in 2007, retiring from Shell at the end of the year. In January 2008, he joined the Board of Toronto-based Candax Energy Inc. and was Chairman until June 2010. He then served as Chairman of Compton Petroleum, Calgary, until August 2012. He is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Oracle Coalfields, London as well as Member of the International Advisory Board of GardaWorld, Montreal, Canada. Mr. Loader holds an Honors Degree in History of Cambridge University and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Juerg Oleas

Mr. Juerg Oleas has been Non-Executive Member of the Board of Directors of Holcim Ltd since April 29, 2014. He holds a master of science degree in mechanical engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, Switzerland. He is CEO of GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft, a Dusseldorf-based mechanical engineering company listed on Germany’s MDAX stock index. GEA Group is one of the largest system suppliers for the food processing industry and a wide range of other process industries. Juerg Oleas has been a member of the GEA Group Executive Board since joining the company in May 2001. Initially responsible for the Group’s chemical activities, he was appointed CEO of GEA Group on November 1, 2004. Before joining the GEA Group, he spent nearly 20 years with ABB and the Alstom Group, where he held several management positions. He is a member of the Board of RUAG Holding AG, Bern (Switzerland).

Thomas Schmidheiny

Dr. Thomas M. Schmidheiny has been Non-Executive Member of the Board of Directors at Holcim Ltd since 2003. He is Member of the Nomination & Compensation Committee of the Company. He began his career in 1970 as Technical Director with Cementos Apasco and was appointed to the Executive Committee of Holcim in 1976, where he held the office of Chairman from 1978 until 2001. He was appointed to the Board of Directors of Holcim Ltd in 1978 and became Chairman of the Board in 1984 until 2003. Hanne Sorensen

Ms. Hanne Birgitte Breinbjerg Sorensen has been Non-Executive Member of the Board of Directors of Holcim Ltd in 2013. She is member of the Nominating and Compensation Committees at the company. Until the end of the year 2013, she was the CEO of Maersk Tankers, Copenhagen and as of January 1, 2014 she is the CEO of Damco, another company of the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group. She holds a Master of Science degree in Business Economy from the University of Aarhus.

Dieter Spaelti

Dr. Dieter Spaelti has been Non-Executive Member of the Board of Directors at Holcim Ltd since 2003. He is Member of the Audit Committee and Member of the Governance & Strategy Committee of the Company. He began his career as a credit officer with Bank of New York in New York, before taking up an appointment as Chief Financial Officer of Tyrolit (Swarovski group), based in Innsbruck and Zurich, in 1991. From 1993 until 2001, he was with McKinsey & Company, ultimately as a partner, and was involved in numerous projects with industrial, financial and technology firms in Europe, the United States and Southeast Asia. In October 2002, he joined as a partner Rapperswil-Jona-based Spectrum Value Management Ltd. Since 2006, he has been Chief Executive Officer of Spectrum Value Management Ltd. He studied law at Universitaet Zuerich (the University of Zurich), obtaining a doctorate in 1989.

Anne Wade

Ms. Anne Wade has been Non-Executive Member of the Board of Directors of Holcim Ltd since 2013. She is member of the Governance and Strategy Committees at the company. She was Senior Vice President and Director of Capital International, based in London. Anne Wade is currently a Member of the Board of Trustees of the FB Heron Foundation in New York.
