Ki-Joon Hong |
Mr. Ki-Joon Hong is Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer of Hanwha Solarone Co Ltd. He has served as chairman of the board since December 20, 2010 and chief executive officer since July 2011. He is the CEO of Hanwha Chemical Corporation. Prior to his current position, Ki-Joon was the CEO of Hanwha Chemical’s pharmaceutical and refinery businesses. Under his leadership, Hanwha Chemical entered into solar energy and secondary battery businesses and also actively expanded its overseas operations, forming a joint venture in Saudi Arabia and building a PVC factory in Ningbo, Zhejiang. He received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Seoul National University. |

Mr. Min-Su Kim has been appointed as the President of Hanwha Solarone Co Ltd. Mr. KIM served as vice president of corporate planning for Hanwha Chemical from 2008 to 2011, where he led the company's study and selection of the solar business as the next growth vehicle for the Hanwha Group. He joined Hanwha in 1987 and spent five years in finance before serving in a number of leadership positions in sales and marketing for key product areas. Mr. Jeong Eui Hong has been appointed as the Chief Technology Officer of Hanwha Solarone Co Ltd. Mr. HONG spent eight years as a senior researcher with LG Semicon Co., Ltd., followed by nine years with Applied Materials Korea where he focused on metallization technology. He became head of technology at Millinet Solar in 2009 before joining Hanwha Chemical in 2010 as head of solar R&D group. Mr. Hong holds over 20 patents in Korea, Japan and the United States. Dr. Wang is currently the chairman of the board of Ether Optronics Inc., president and chief executive officer of Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC) and an overseas advisor to the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China. He is also an advisor to the Greater China Innovation and Entrepreneurship project of Stanford University in the United States. He was a member of the board of directors of Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI) and chairman of its China Regional Advisory Board.
