Name Description

Diosdado Banatao

Mr. Diosdado P. Banatao is an Independent Executive Chairman of the Board of Ikanos Communications, Inc. He is Founder and Managing Partner of Tallwood Venture Capital (Tallwood) since July 2000. From April 2010 to July 2010 and from June 2011 to June 2012, Mr. Banatao served as our Interim President & CEO. From April 2008 to June 2009, Mr. Banatao served as Interim CEO of SiRF Technology Holdings, Inc., a publicly-traded company that was acquired by CSR plc in June 2009 (SiRF). From October 2006 to August 2007, Mr. Banatao served as Interim President and CEO of Inphi Corporation. Prior to forming Tallwood, Mr. Banatao was a venture partner at the Mayfield Fund (Mayfield), a venture capital firm, from January 1998 to May 2000. Mr. Banatao co-founded three technology startups: S3 Graphics Ltd in 1989, Chips & Technologies, Inc. in 1985, and Mostron in 1984. Education: B.S.E.E. from the Mapua Institute of Technology in the Philippines and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

Omid Tahernia

Mr. Omid Tahernia is President, Chief Executive Officer, Director of Ikanos Communications, Inc. Since June 11, 2012. Prior to joining Ikanos, Mr. Tahernia served as President and CEO of Tilera Corporation from October 2007 to October 2011. Mr. Tahernia was with Xilinx first as Vice President and General Manager of the DSP Division from July 2004 to June 2006 and later as Vice President and General Manager of the Processing Solutions Group from June 2006 to September 2007. Mr. Tahernia was employed by the Motorola, Inc.’s Semiconductor Group as Vice President and Director of Strategy and Business Development from June 2003 to July 2004 and Vice President and General Manager of the Wireless & Mobile Systems Division from December 1998 until June 2003. Mr. Tahernia holds a B.S.E.E. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University, and an M.S.E.E. from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Dennis Bencala

Mr. Dennis Bencala is Chief Financial Officer, Vice President - Finance of Ikanos Communications, Inc., since June 11, 2010. Prior to joining Ikanos, Mr. Bencala was CFO of the Renewable Energy Test Center from October 2009 to June 2010. Mr. Bencala held successive positions at SiRF Technology Holdings, Inc. (SiRF) beginning with Corporate Controller in January 2000 and becoming Senior Director, Investor Relations and Business Development, in August 2007. He became acting CFO at SiRF in August 2008 and was CFO from September 2008 until October 2009. Prior to joining SiRF Mr. Bencala served as Corporate Controller at ScanVision, Inc., a developer of image sensing semiconductor products from June 1995 to December 1999. Mr. Bencala holds a B.S. in Finance from San Diego State University.

Debajyoti Pal

Dr. Debajyoti Pal is Chief Technology Officer, Senior Vice President of Ikanos Communications, Inc. From April 2004 until August 2009, Dr. Pal was Chief Technology Officer and Executive in Residence at Tallwood Venture Capital. Prior to joining Tallwood, Dr. Pal founded Telicos Corporation in May 2002 and was President until April 2004. Dr. Pal was Vice President of Technology & Product Development of Virata Corporation and GlobespanVirata, Inc. from August 2000 until April 2002. In May 1998 he founded Excess Bandwidth Corporation and was Chief Technology Officer and Vice President Engineering until August 2000 when it was acquired by Virata. Dr. Pal received a bachelor’s degree in electronics and electrical communication engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, an M.S.E.E. degree from Washington State University, and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Stanford University. Dr. Pal is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

Stu Krometis

Mr. Stu Krometis is Vice President - Worldwide Sales of Ikanos Communications, Inc. Prior to joining Ikanos, he was Vice President, Sales APAC for Cavium, Inc. from July 2012 until May 2013. Mr. Krometis joined Cavium in October 2005 and served as Senior Director of Global Accounts and EMEA until July 2012. Mr. Krometis was regional sales manager at Applied Micro Circuits Corporation from December 2000 until May 2005. Mr. Krometis holds a B.B.A. in Business Administration from Roanoke College.

James Murphy

Mr. James Murphy is Vice President - Worldwide Human Resources of Ikanos Communications, Inc., since June 2010. Prior to joining Ikanos he served as Vice President, Human Resources for North America and Asia Pacific for CSR plc from August 2009 until May 2010. From March 2006 until August 2009, Mr. Murphy was Vice President, Human Resources for SiRF. Prior to joining SiRF, Mr. Murphy was Senior Human Resources Director for North America at LSI Logic Corporation. Mr. Murphy holds a B.A. from Lawrence University and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan.

Jason Cohenour

Mr. Jason W. Cohenour is Independent Director of Ikanos Communications, Inc. He has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Sierra Wireless, Inc. since 2005. Jason joined Sierra Wireless in 1996 as Vice President of Sales and held several executive positions with the company before becoming CEO, including serving as Chief Operating Officer from August 2004 to October 2005. Jason began his wireless career with Motorola’s Mobile Data Division, where he helped establish Motorola as a leading provider of wireless data solutions.

Danial Faizullabhoy

Mr. Danial Faizullabhoy is an Independent Director of Ikanos Communications, Inc., since July 2001. In March 2014, Mr. Faizullabhoy was appointed as the CEO of Cypherpath, Inc., an emerging leader in virtualization technology. From June 2012 through March 2014, Mr. Faizullabhoy worked as an independent consultant providing operational, financial, and strategic advice. From July 2006 through December 2012, he served as President and CEO of BroadLogic Network Technologies, Inc. (BroadLogic), a video-processing mixed signal semiconductor design and supply company. From July 1998 to July 2006, Mr. Faizullabhoy held various positions at Walden International Investment Group, a venture capital firm, including Venture Consultant, Venture Partner, and Managing Director. From 1986 to 1998, Mr. Faizullabhoy held various positions at Adaptec Inc., including Applications Engineer, Product/Marketing Manager, and Vice President and General Manager of its Target and Optical Peripheral Solutions Group. Education: B.S.E.E. from Norwich University and a M.B.A. from Santa Clara University.

Frederick Lax

Mr. Frederick M. Lax is an Independent Director of Ikanos Communications, Inc., since January 26, 2008. Since 2006, Mr. Lax has worked as an independent communications executive advisor. From February 2001 to January 2006, Mr. Lax was employed by Tekelec Inc., a developer of next-generation switching and signaling telecommunications and network performance management technology, serving initially as its Chief Operating Officer and subsequently as President and CEO. Prior to his tenure at Tekelec, Mr. Lax held a number of senior executive positions at Bell Laboratories, AT&T, and Lucent Technologies. George Pavlov

Mr. George A. Pavlov is an Independent Director of Ikanos Communications, Inc., since August 24, 2009. Since 2002, Mr. Pavlov has been a General Partner of Tallwood. Prior to joining Tallwood, Mr. Pavlov was CEO of eTime Capital from April 2000 to July 2001 and a General Partner and Chief Financial Officer of Mayfield, from April 1996 to April 2000. Before Mayfield, Mr. Pavlov was the Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director of Blum Capital Partners from May 1991 to April 1996, and he held several financial and sales management positions at NeXT Computer, Inc. from April 1987 to May 1991. James Smaha

Mr. James M. Smaha is an Independent Director of Ikanos Communications, Inc., since April 8, 2010. Mr. Smaha’s experience includes over 30 years in the semiconductor industry, including service as President and Executive Vice President of the Semiconductor Group of National Semiconductor Corporation as well as other senior roles at National Semiconductor Corporation from March 1974 to March 1989.
