Name Description

John Moxon

Mr. John Ralph Thomas Moxon has served as Executive Chairman of Meikles Limited since June 16, 2011. He was the Company's Non-Executive Chairman of the Board until January 16, 2009. He was also a Member of the Audit Committee and a Member of the Remuneration Committee of the Company until January 16, 2009. He joined Meikles Consolidated Holdings in 1970. He is Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales. He holds a Masters of Business Administration Degree from the University of Cape Town.

Sebastien Benning

Mr. Sebastien Benning has served as Managing Director - Meikles Hospitality (Private) Limited within Meikles Limited since September 2015. Sebastien graduated from the Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School in Australia with an Advanced Diploma in Hotel Management. He worked in a number of hotels overseas before returning to Zimbabwe in 1999 to run his own lodge and subsequent businesses. Sebastien has worked in hospitality since the age of 16 equipping him with the right hospitality experience and knowledge to secure the future of Meikles Hospitality. He recently joined the group in September 2015 as the Managing Director of Meikles Hospitality (Private) Limited.

Dharmalingum Dass

Mr. Dharmalingum Dass has served as Managing Director – TM Supermarkets within Meikles Limited since September 2014. He has been in the retail industry for 38 years. He started his retail career as an invoice clerk in 1977 at Pick n Pay Hyper in Durban. He was then appointed a General Manager and subsidiary Board Director in 1990. After that he was appointed Managing Director of Pick n Pay Hypers in 2007. He was then transferred to the African Division as General Manager. Mr. Dass ran the Pick n Pay Mauritius branch from 2012 to 2014.

Phillip Ellse

Mr. Phillip (Phil) Ellse serves as Managing Director – Meikles Retail within Meikles Limited. Phil began his career in retail in 1990 when he joined Checkers in Richards Bay, South Africa. He then joined Makro in 1997 and became part of the management team. Thereafter he transferred to Bulawayo, Zimbabwe in 1999, where he took up the position as General Manager. He was promoted to Procurement / Operations Director of Makro, Zimbabwe in 2000 and he became an active board member until 2004. During 2007 – 2012 Phil ran two of his own businesses. Phil has had vast experience in retail and wholesale businesses for 22 years and joined the Group in September 2013 as the Divisional Head of Meikles Mega Market, a new wholesale concept of the Group.

Timothy Fennell

Mr. Timothy Fennell has served as Managing Director - Tanganda Tea Company Limited within Meikles Limited since 2012. He has sat on the Boards of Zimbabwe Coffee Mill and the Coffee Growers Association of which he was the Chairman. He has owned a consultancy business, advising in agriculture in such places as Papua New Guinea, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, South Africa, Zambia, Tanzania and Zimbabwe.

William Newman

Mr. William Newman serves as Head of Treasury & Business Development of Meikles Limited. William is an emerging markets finance and operations executive with extensive experience in South America and sub-Saharan Africa. He started his career at Ernst and Young in New York; was an investment banker with Lazard covering Latin America from Buenos Aires, Argentina; and was CFO of a Sao Paulo, Brazil-based start-up that raised nearly US$ 50 M in venture capital and became Latin America’s largest online gaming company with more than 25 million users. The year prior to joining Meikles Limited, he was CFO of an investment holding company in Angola active in the Petroleum and Telecommunications sectors, and has also led infrastructure and real estate projects in Namibia and Mozambique. He represents Zimbabwe in the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Community for influential young world leaders. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University in New York, USA.

Thabani Mpofu

Mr. Thabani Mpofu has served as Company Secretary/Legal Advisor of Meikles Limited since August 2014. After his College education he became a Public Prosecutor where he remained for over 10 years. With this experience he became a Legal Consultant and owned his own Company called Logford Consultants. He then changed his career path by becoming the General Manager of a trucking business called Easy Transport. In 2009 he joined the Government of National Unity at the office of the Prime Minister for resurgent development, where he continued for five years. In August 2014, he then joined Meikles Limited as the Company Secretary/Legal Advisor after consulting for the Group for several months.

Kazilek Ncube

Mr. Kazilek Ncube has served as Executive Director, Managing Director - Meikles Guard Services (Private) Limited of Meikles Limited since November 30, 2012. He is Member of the Audit Committee and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee of the Company. He served in the Zimbabwe Republic Police for 31 years, retiring in 1999 at the rank of Assistant Commissioner. He completed a number of courses, including Human & Material Resources Management (ZIPAM) and Financial Management (ZIPAM). On retirement, he joined MineTech Zimbabwe as Operations Manager. He joined the Company's Board as Non-Executive Director on December 1, 2009.

Rugare Chidembo

Mr. Rugare Chidembo has served as Non-Executive Director of Meikles Limited since December 11, 2007. He is Member of the Company's Remuneration Committee and Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Company. He qualified as Chartered Accountant (Zimbabwe) in 1985, having served his articles with Deloitte & Touche. He has held several management positions within the Econet Wireless group including, Chief Operating Officer of Econet Wireless International, Managing Director Econet Wireless (Private) Limited and Finance Director of Econet Wireless (Private) Limited. Mr. Chidembo obtained a Masters of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from the University of Zimbabwe.

James Mushore

Mr. James A. Mushore has served as Non-Executive Director of Meikles Limited since April 30, 2015. He is a Chartered Accountant turned banker with over 30 years' experience. He was instrumental in the establishment of the then National Merchant Bank of Zimbabwe as the first wholly Zimbabwean indigenous merchant bank in 1993. NMB Bank is now a retail bank catering for corporate and high net worth individuals. He set up, and served as the Group Chief Executive Officer of NMBZ Holdings Limited, the holding company of NMB Bank Limited, from 2010 to 2014. He also played a pivotal role in the dual listing for NMB on both the London and Zimbabwe Stock Exchanges. Prior to that, he spent 6 years in the UK from 2004 to 2010, as a financial advisor to companies doing business in Southern Africa. Prior to NMB Bank Limited, he was a partner with Coopers & Lybrand in Zimbabwe and Zambia. Whilst at Coopers & Lybrand, he served as Managing Partner of the Zambian practice where he also had responsibility for the Corporate Finance practice. He is a past director of the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority and past Chairman of the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority and past President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe. He is Member of the Audit Committee and Member of the Remuneration Committee of the Company.
