| Naik, A. | Mr. A. M. Naik is Executive Chairman of the Board, Managing Director of Larsen & Toubro Limited. He joined the company as a Junior Engineer in 1965, and was rapidly given positions of increasing responsibility. He was appointed Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of L&T on April 28, 1999. On December 30, 2003, he was appointed Chairman and Managing Director of L&T. He successfully led the Company through some of its most challenging times, and enabled it to emerge stronger each time. His broad global perspective has seen the Company expand its horizons beyond domestic borders, and position itself to become a global player. Mr. A.M. Naik heads an organisation that is among the most admired companies in India, reputed for the technological excellence that characterises its projects and products, for its contribution to the development of indigenous engineering capabilities and, for its inherent professionalism and value systems. |
| Deosthalee, Yeshwant | Mr. Yeshwant Moreshwar Deosthalee joined Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) in 1974 and held positions at various offices of the company all over the Country until assuming charge as General Manager (Finance) in 1990. In addition to assuming total responsibility of the Finance portfolio, he also oversees the Personnel and HR functions in the Company. In March 1995, Mr. Deosthalee was appointed as whole-time Director on the Board of the Company and designated Sr. Vice President (Finance). Currently, he is the Chief Financial Officer of L&T and on the Boards of various L&T Group of Companies. Mr. Deosthalee was instrumental in setting up L&T Finance Limited in 1994, a wholly-owned subsidiary of L&T and continues to nurture its operations and provide strategic direction. He also plays an important role in Larsen & Toubro Infotech Limited, the IT arm of L&T, which offers software solutions to clients globally. Mr. Deosthalee is a Trustee of the newly formed L&T Public Charitable Trust, a major CSR initiative of the Company and takes a keen interest in its various welfare activities. A member of the Western Regional Council and the National Council on Corporate Governance of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mr. Y. M. Deosthalee has chaired a number of meetings including CFO Summits organised by CII. Mr. Deosthalee is a member of the Bombay Management Association and member of the Managing Committee of Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry. |
| Nayak, Jagdish | Mr. Jagdish Pandurang Nayak is President - Machinery and Industrial Products, Whole-time Director of Larsen & Toubro Limited. Mr. J. P. Nayak has been a member of the Board of Directors of Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) since 1995. He currently holds Board-level management responsibility for L&T's Machinery & Industrial Products Division and for Corporate Communications. After acquiring a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Nayak continued further studies in Mid-Essex College of Technology, UK. Subsequently, he also underwent training in Manufacturing Management at Parkinson Commonwealth Bursary. He joined the L&T Group in 1965, serving in Tractor Engineers Limited, a joint venture with Caterpillar Tractor Company. In 1980, he took over as head of the Construction Equipment manufacturing unit of L&T in Bangalore and later, as Group General Manager of L&T's Construction Equipment Group in 1987, with dual responsibility for manufacturing and marketing. In this capacity, he oversaw the formation of joint ventures with global majors like Komatsu, Deere & Company, and CNH. In March 1995, Mr. Nayak was inducted onto the Board of Directors of L&T as Senior Vice-President. Six years later, he was elevated as President (Operations). He is a member of the Southern Regional Council of CII. |
| Venkataramanan, Krishnamurthi | Mr. Krishnamurthi Venkataramanan is President - Engineering & Construction Projects, Whole-time Director of Larsen & Toubro Limited. He joined L&T on June 12, 1969 after completing B.Tech. in Chemical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He was appointed as whole-time Director on the Board of the Company on May 20, 1999. He also built process design capability through a Front End Engineering Design group (FEED) for direct access to process technology. He helped transform the company from a fabrication driven EPC contractor to a technology led player. He also established IT-enabled Engineering Services Centres to tap global opportunities. Mr. Venkataramanan implemented Real Time Strategic Change (RTSC) processes in the company for high performance team building. He implemented various business solutions such as Global Sourcing, Skill Building, Risk Management, Benchmarking, Contracts Management, and intense monitoring of value drivers encompassing financial and operational parameters. Mr. Venkataramanan also formed a dedicated International Business Development Cell to give thrust on the international front. Under his leadership, the project team successfully executed / are executing high technology projects in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Kuwait, Oman, Sri Lanka and Nigeria. Mr. Venkataramanan has been associated with many industry bodies. These include the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, Bombay Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Chemtech Foundation, and the National Executive Council for 'Petroleum & Power' sector. |
| Mukhija, Ram | Mr. Ram Nath Mukhija is President - Electricals & Electronics, Whole-time Director of Larsen & Toubro Limited. Mr. Mukhija also heads the L&T's domestic marketing network. He is in-charge of the CSR activities of L&T. He is the Chairman of Larsen & Toubro (Wuxi) Electric Co. Ltd., China. He is also the member of the board of L&T Infotech Limited. Mr. Mukhija is an Electrical Engineering Graduate of 1965 from IIT Kharagpur. After graduation he joined L&T in Delhi and worked in L&T's offices at Lucknow, Kolkata and Mumbai. | Rangaswami, Kodiyalam | Mr. Kodiyalam Vasudevan Rangaswami is President - Construction, Whole-time Director of Larsen & Toubro Limited. After completing B.Tech from IIT-Madras, Mr. Rangaswami joined ECC in 1965 and has since been contributing to the growth of ECC in various roles and capacities. He was responsible for several innovative and cost saving designs for many project structures, some of which were conceived and designed for the first time in India. | Magapu, Vijay | Mr. Vijay Kumar Magapu is Senior Executive Vice President - IT & Technology Services, Whole-time Director of Larsen & Toubro Limited. Under his leadership, L&T Infotech adopted an aggressive business development drive that resulted in key strategic alliances and the establishment of multiple Offshore Development Centres for global clients. He was also responsible for several initiatives to secure quality certifications and assessment levels. In his capacity as L&T's Chief Information Officer and e-Commerce Officer, Mr. Magapu helped to formulate and implement IT strategies across the company. | Kotwal, Madhukar | Mr. Madhukar Vinayak Kotwal is Senior Executive Vice President - Heavy Engineering, Whole-time Director of Larsen & Toubro Limited. He is a B.E. Mechanical Engineer from the 1968 batch of S. P. College of Engineering, University of Mumbai. On graduation, he joined L&T's Powai Works, Mumbai, as a junior engineer.
