Name Description

Mary Junck

Ms. Mary E. Junck is Chairman of the Board, President, Chief Executive Officer of Lee Enterprises, Inc. She is also a director of TNI Partners, which is owned 50% by the Company. Ms. Junck is a director and chairman of the board of directors of The Associated Press. Ms. Junck leads our senior executive team and provides the Board of Directors with in-depth knowledge of the Company and the publishing industry, in which she has worked in executive and senior management positions for more than 30 years. Ms. Junck provides a valuable and unique perspective in Board deliberations about the Company's business, competitive landscape, strategic relationships and opportunities, senior leadership and operational and financial performance.

Carl Schmidt

Mr. Carl G. Schmidt has resigned as Chief Financial Officer, Vice President, Treasurer of Lee Enterprises, Inc., effective 1 July 2015. He previously was senior vice president and chief financial officer, secretary and treasurer of Johnson Outdoors, a publicly traded affiliate of the SC Johnson group of companies, which he joined in 1994. He began his career in 1978 as a certified public accountant at the Big Four accounting firm of KPMG LLP, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After a series of promotions, he became a partner in 1988. He is a graduate of Marquette University. He has worked with many non-profit organizations and currently serves on the Board of Genesis Philanthropy.

Kevin Mowbray

Mr. Kevin D. Mowbray is Chief Operating Officer, Vice President of Lee Enterprises, Inc. He has been president and publisher of the Post-Dispatch since 2006. As a Lee vice president of publishing, he has had recent additional responsibility for 13 other markets in Arizona, California, Illinois, New York, Missouri, Pennsylvania and Utah. He began his career with Lee in 1986 as an advertising sales representative in his hometown of Kewanee, Ill. He advanced to sales positions in Helena, Butte and Billings, Montana, before moving to Chicago as Lee's national sales manager for corporate sales and marketing. In 1995, he joined the Lincoln Journal Star as advertising manager, where he served three years before becoming general manager at the Missoulian in Missoula, Montana, in 1998. In 2000, he advanced to publisher of The Bismarck Tribune in Bismarck, North Dakota, where he guided the newspaper to the 2001 Lee President's Award for Enterprise of the Year. In 2002, he was appointed vice president for sales and marketing, and in 2004 he became a vice president for publishing, with responsibility for markets in Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, New York, Pennsylvania and South Carolina, while also serving as publisher of The Times of Northwest Indiana.

Michele White

Ms. Michele Fennelly White is Vice President - Information Technology and Chief Information Officer in June 2011. From 1999 to June 2011, she served as Director of Technical Support.

Nathan Bekke

Mr. Nathan E. Bekke is Vice President - Consumer Sales & Marketing of the Company. He has been involved with a range of charitable, community and statewide organizations since arriving in Wyoming. He currently is chairman of the We Read advisory committee and serves on the YMCA board of trustees. He also has served on the board of directors for the Wyoming Business Council, Wyoming Meth Project, Casper Area Economic Development Alliance, Casper Area Chamber of Commerce, Child Development Center of Natrona County, United Way of Natrona County and Central Wyoming Officials' Association. In addition to leading Casper Star-Tribune Communications since 2003, Bekke has had group publisher responsibility since 2007 for newspapers in Idaho, Montana, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Washington and Wyoming. He began his newspaper career in 1988 as an intern in the advertising department at Billings Gazette Communications, where he became director of sales and marketing after advancing in circulation leadership positions there and at the Independent Record in Helena, Montana. Under his leadership, the Star-Tribune received Lee's highest honor in 2005, Enterprise of the Year.

Michael Gulledge

Mr. Michael R. Gulledge is Vice President - Sales and Marketing of Lee Enterprises, Inc. During his 30 years with Lee he has served as advertising manager at The Southern Illinoisan, advertising manager at the Herald & Review in Decatur; advertising manager at the Quad-City Times in Davenport; general manager at the Herald & Review in Decatur; publisher Herald & Review in Decatur and in 2000, he was appointed publisher of the Billings Gazette. He was elected an officer and operating vice president in 2005. The Billings Gazette received Lee's highest honor, Enterprise of the Year, in 2006. He is active in the Billings community and has served on the boards of private college institutions, economic development organizations, and health organizations. He is chairman of the Montana Meth Project and past president of the Billings Chamber of Commerce.

Paul Farrell

Mr. Paul M. Farrell is Vice President - Digital Sales of Lee Enterprises, Inc. He was appointed Vice President - Digital Sales in October 2013. From September 2012 to October 2013, he served as Publisher of the Connecticut Media Group of Hearst Media Services. From May 2007 to August 2012, he served as Vice President - Sales and Marketing of the Company.

Astrid Garcia

Ms. Astrid J. Garcia has been appointed as Vice President - Human Resources of the company., effective December 2, 2013. Garcia joined Lee at the Post-Dispatch in 2006. Her career includes top leadership positions in human resources and operations for the former Knight Ridder Inc., serving at The Miami Herald, St. Paul Pioneer Press, the Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News and the San Jose Mercury News. She also served as vice president for human resources and operations at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. She began her newspaper human resources career in 1985 at the Hartford Courant. From 1981 to 1985, she served as an attorney for the National Labor Relations Board in Connecticut and New York. She also previously was an attorney for the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Educational Fund in New York. She is a graduate of Columbia University and Brooklyn Law School. In St. Louis, she is a member of the board of directors of the Urban League, the YMCA and United Way. She is a past president of the National Association of Minority Media Executives. Her husband, Bob Gillespie, is a psychologist. They have two sons who are graduates of the University of Iowa.

Gregory Schermer

Mr. Gregory P. Schermer is Vice President - Strategy, Director of Lee Enterprises, Inc. Mr. Schermer is Vice President-Interactive Media of the Company. From 1989 to July 2006, Mr. Schermer also served as Corporate Counsel of the Company. Mr. Schermer leads the development of digital media strategies and platforms and represents the Company in several industry digital media initiatives, including The Newspaper Consortium (the "Consortium"), a group of 30 companies that represent nearly 800 local newspapers helping local advertisers to reach digital audiences.

Ms. Suzanna M. Frank is Vice President - Audience of Lee Enterprises, Inc. From 2003 to March 2008 she served as Director of Research and Marketing. From 2001 to 2003 she served as Market Research Manager for the San Diego Union-Tribune.

James Green

Mr. James A. Green has been appointed as Vice President - Digital of Lee Enterprises Inc. He most recently served as executive vice president and general manager of Travidia, Inc., developer of digital shopping media and marketing programs for nearly 800 newspapers. Before serving as executive vice president and general manager at Travidia from 2011 to 2012, Green had been chief marketing officer since 2004. From 2000 to 2004 he led development of Internet operations at The McClatchy Company as president and publisher of Nando Media. His 24-year career includes executive positions in interactive media, marketing, strategic planning and sales at The Modesto Bee, The Sacramento Bee, The Newspaper Network and Equifax National Decision Systems. He is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego, and earned a master's degree at the University of San Diego. He is a former board member of the National Association of Minority Media Executives.

Mr. Daniel K. Hayes is Vice President - Corporate Communications of Lee Enterprises, Inc. From 1998 to September 2005 he served as Director of Communications.

John Humenik

Mr. John M. Humenik is Vice President - News of the Company. He is president and publisher of the Wisconsin State Journal and president of Madison Newspapers Inc., and also has served as Lee group publisher with responsibilities for operations in Madison and Tucson. He was publisher and editor of the Arizona Daily Star from 2005 to 2010, when in addition to publisher he became president of Tucson Newspapers Inc. Under his leadership, the Daily Star has received many state, national and international journalism honors. In 2013, it was Lee's Enterprise of the Year and was recognized for journalism excellence by Lee each year from 2005 to 2013. The Daily Star was named "Newspaper of the Year" by Suburban Newspapers of America, now Local Media Association, in 2011, 2010 and 2008, and was among "10 That Do It Right" by Editor & Publisher magazine in 2013. Before moving to Tucson in 2005, Humenik was editor for seven years at the Quad-City Times in Davenport, Iowa. He was honored as "Editor of the Year" in 2004 by Suburban Newspapers of America. The Times was named "Newspaper of the Year" in 2002 and 2003 by SNA and was recognized in 2002 as one of "10 Newspapers That Do It Right" by Editor & Publisher . Among many industry and community activities, he served as SNA/LMA chairman of the board in 2010 and 2013, is immediate past chairman of the LMA Foundation, and is a co-founder and chairman of the Tucson Festival of Books, the fourth largest book festival in the country. He began his career in the Chicago suburbs at age 15, working his way onto sports staffs at the Star Herald and the Daily Southtown . He has held newsroom management positions at The Cincinnati Enquirer and The Times of Northwest Indiana. He is a journalism graduate of Eastern Illinois University.

Ronald Mayo

Mr. Ronald A. Mayo has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer, Vice President, Treasurer of Lee Enterprises, Incorporated., effective as of July 1, 2015. Mr. Ronald A. Mayo serves as Vice President of the Company., Since May 1, 2015. Mayo's career includes 19 years with MediaNews Group, including 12 years as vice president and chief financial officer. Most recently, he was chief financial officer of Halifax Media Group until its acquisition by New Media Investment Group, Inc. in January of this year. Before entering the media industry, Mayo was an audit senior manager with Ernst & Young in Houston, Texas. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University.

William Mayer

Mr. William E. Mayer is Lead Independent Director of Lee Enterprises, Inc. Mr. Mayer is a founding partner of Park Avenue Equity Partners, L.P., New York, NY, a private equity firm. He is also a director of BlackRock Kelso Capital Corporation, a closed-end management investment company, DynaVox, Inc. and a trustee of the Columbia Mutual Funds. Since 1976, Mr. Mayer has served on the boards of directors of 16 public companies, and as chairman of the board of the University of Maryland, College Park, and The Aspen Institute. Mr. Mayer also served as a professor and dean of the College of Business and Management at the University of Maryland from 1992 to 1996.

Richard Cole

Dr. Cole is the John Thomas Kerr Jr. Distinguished Professor at the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Leonard Elmore

Mr. Leonard J. Elmore is Independent Director of Lee Enterprises, Inc. Mr. Elmore is an attorney. Mr. Elmore has been the Chief Executive Officer of iHoops, the official youth basketball initiative of the NCAA and the NBA, since May 2010 and served as a board member of iHoops from its inception in April 2009. Prior to joining iHoops, Mr. Elmore was a partner with the law firm of Dreier LLP from September 2008 until December 2008, and senior counsel with the law firm of Dewey & LeBoeuf from 2004 to 2008. Mr. Elmore is also a basketball analyst for ESPN and CBS Sports. Mr. Elmore serves as a trustee of the University of Maryland, and a commissioner on the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation's Knight Commission on Intercollegiate Athletics. Mr. Elmore also serves as a member of the board of directors and chairman of the nominating and corporate governance committee of 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, Inc.

Brent Magid

Mr. Brent Magid is Independent Director of Lee Enterprises Inc. Mr. Magid is President and Chief Executive Officer of Frank N. Magid Associates, Inc., a research-based strategy consulting company with in a wide range of media. From 2007 to 2009, Mr. Magid served as a director of Quattro Wireless, a mobile advertising company.

Herbert Moloney

Mr. Herbert W. Moloney, III, is Independent Director of Lee Enterprises, Inc. From December 2006 through July 2011, Mr. Moloney was President and Chief Operating Officer of Western Colorprint, Inc. (“Western Colorprint”), a privately-held company that provided advertising supplements and commercial printing services to the publishing industry. From April 2005 to November 2006, Mr. Moloney was President and Publisher of the Washington Examiner. From 2000 to March 2005, Mr. Moloney was the Chief Operating Officer, North America, and an Executive Vice President of Vertis, Inc., a premium provider of targeted advertising and marketing solutions to retail and consumer services companies.

Andrew Newman

Mr. Andrew E. Newman is Independent Director of Lee Enterprises, Inc. Mr. Newman is Chairman of Hackett Security, Inc., a security systems company with operations in several states; a private investor, and a trustee of Washington University, St. Louis. Mr. Newman has been a founder, principal and/or chief executive officer of several retail and restaurant companies and a group of business publications.

Mark Vittert

Mr. Mark B. Vittert is Independent Director of Lee Enterprises, Inc. Mr. Vittert has been a private investor for more than 20 years. Over the past 40 years, Mr. Vittert has been involved as a founder, developer of, or investor in several companies involved in market research and youth marketing, publishing, sporting goods and the food and beverage industries.
