Name Description

Bhavesh Patel

Mr. Bhavesh V. Patel is Chairman of the Management Board, Chief Executive Officer of Company., effective January 12, 2015. Prior to being named Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Patel led our olefins and polyolefins (O&P) businesses and oversaw the Company’s manufacturing operations in Europe, Asia and other non-North American jurisdictions (EAI). He also was responsible for the Company’s Technology business, which encompasses licensing and support of our technology. Mr. Patel was the Senior Vice President of O&P – EAI and Technology from November 2010 until October 2013 when he was promoted to Executive Vice President and given responsibility for the Company’s manufacturing operations, in addition to his other responsibilities. From March 2010 until August 2011, Mr. Patel was SVP, O&P – Americas, where he was responsible for managing all of our North American and South American olefins and polyolefins operations. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Patel was General Manager of Olefins & NGL for Chevron Phillips Chemical Co. LLC from June 2009 to March 2010.

Jacquelyn Wolf

Ms. Jacquelyn H. Wolf is Chief Human Resource Officer, Senior Vice President of LyondellBasell Industries NV. Most recently, Wolf served as Senior Vice President, Human Resources at Celanese Corp. in Dallas. Prior to that she was the Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer for Comerica, Inc. Wolf also held the position of Global Human Resources Director for General Motor's Finance, Asset Management, and Economic Development and Enterprise Services organizations. Before joining GM, she was Vice President of Human Resources for Honeywell in their Aerospace, Truck Brakes and Avionics segments. Prior to Honeywell, she worked in human resources management and labor relations positions at General Electric Corp. Wolf earned a doctorate and a master's degree in organizational and human systems from Fielding Graduate University, Santa Barbara, Calif.; a master's degree in management from Baker University, Overland Park, Kan.; and a bachelor's degree in organizational communications from Youngstown State University, Youngstown, Ohio.

Timothy Roberts

Mr. Timothy D. Roberts has been appointed as Executive Vice President – Global O&P, Member of the Management Board of Company. He was Executive Vice President - Olefins and Polyolefins, Americas of LyondellBasell Industries N.V., effective September 10, 2013. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President, O&P Americas from June 2011 until September 2013. From February 2011 until May 2011, Mr. Roberts served as Vice President of Strategic and Corporate Planning for Chevron Phillips Chemical Co. LLC. Before that, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Americas Styrenics LLC from May 2008 until January 2011.

Kevin Brown

Mr. Kevin W. Brown has been promoted as Executive Vice President – Manufacturing and Refining of Company. Mr. Brown is responsible for the Company’s global manufacturing as well as the business and operations of our Houston refinery. Prior to being named Executive Vice President, Mr. Brown served as Senior Vice President – Refining since October 2009, overseeing the Company’s refining operations. Mr. Brown also has responsibility for the Company’s Global Projects functions. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Brown spent several years as an Executive Vice President and a Director of Sinclair Oil, a privately-held American petroleum company.

Daniel Coombs

Mr. Daniel M. Coombs is Executive Vice President - Intermediates and Derivatives and Chain, Procurement and Technology of LyondellBasell Industries N.V. Coombs has been senior vice president of Manufacturing at Chevron Phillips Chemical Company. He has held executive positions there since 2010, including senior vice president for Specialties, Aromatics and Styrenics, vice president of Corporate Planning and Development, and vice president and deputy general manager for Qatar Chemical Company Limited. He began his career in 1978 at Phillips Chemical, holding a variety of engineering and supervisory positions of increasing responsibility. Coombs earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from The Ohio State University in 1978 and a Master of Science degree in the same field in 1985 from the University of Tulsa. In 2004, he received an MBA from Texas A&M University.

Jeffrey Kaplan

Mr. Jeffrey A. Kaplan has been appointed as an Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of the Company effective March 1, 2015. He has been deputy general counsel since joining LyondellBasell in December 2009. From 2001 to 2009 he served in a variety of leadership roles at Chevron Phillips Chemical Company, including deputy general counsel. From 1992 to 2001 he was in private law practice in Houston . Kaplan earned his bachelor's degree from Amherst College and his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law. He serves on the national board of directors of the General Counsel Forum and is a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and Houston Bar Foundation.

Massimo Covezzi

Mr. Massimo Covezzi is Senior Vice President - Research and Development of LyondellBasell Industries NV. Prior to the December 2007 merger of Basell and Lyondell Chemical Company, Mr. Covezzi served as President Research and Development with Basell Polyolefins. In 1983, Mr. Covezzi began his career working for a chromium salt company before joining Basell predecessor company Himont in 1984. At Himont his early assignments focused on engineering and process development. He contributed to the commercialization of Spheripol technology in North America. In 1995, when Himont became part of the Montell joint venture, he was named core technology director for polyethylene; in 1999 he was assigned the same responsibility for polypropylene. In these positions, he coordinated on a worldwide basis all related R&D activities and programs. In May 2005 Mr. Covezzi was appointed president of Research and Development based in Frankfurt for Basell Polyolefins. In April 2004, he was named head of Product and Application Development for Basell and R&D site coordinator in Frankfurt, Germany. From 2001 to 2004 he served as R&D and catalyst manufacturing site coordinator in Ferrara, Italy and head of Manufacturing Platforms within Basell.

Michael VanDerSnick

Mr. Michael VanDerSnick is Senior Vice President - Manufacturing, EAI of LyondellBasell Industries NV. Site manager of the Company’s Channelview, Matagorda, Chocolate Bayou and Bayport, Texas plants from 2004 to 2012.

Sergey Vasnetsov

Mr. Sergey Vasnetsov was Senior Vice President - Strategic Planning and Transactions of LyondellBasell Industries NV. Most recently Mr. Vasnetsov served as Managing Director and head of the Global Chemical Research Group for Barclays Capital. He started his industrial career as a senior chemist at the Union Carbide's corporate polyolefin catalysts research and development center in Bound Brook, NJ. Since 1996, Vasnetsov has worked at several investment banks as a senior research analyst covering chemicals. He has been recognized as one of the top chemical analysts by the Institutional Investor Magazine in each of 2000-2009 annual investor surveys. Mr. Vasnetsov graduated with a Masters of Science degree in kinetics and catalysis from the University of Novosibirsk in Russia and was a George Soros Scholar at Oxford University, United Kingdom.

William Allen

Mr. William B. Allen, Jr., is Principal Accounting Officer of LyondellBasell Industries NV., effective April 5, 2013. He previously served as Vice President, Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer of Albemarle Corporation, a global developer, manufacturer, and marketer of specialty chemicals, from 2009 until joining the Company. Prior to that, he held various other financial management positions of increasing responsibility during his tenure with Albemarle including Chief Financial Officer for their Catalysts and Fine Chemistry divisions, Director of Financial Planning and Analysis and also Director of Finance for Albemarle’s European operations based in Brussels, Belgium.

Mr. Samuel L. Smolik is Vice President - Health, Safety and Environment of LyondellBasell Industries NV. Mr. Smolik was most recently Smolik was most recently Vice President Global Downstream Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HS&E) of Royal Dutch Shell. Prior to joining Shell, he was Vice President, Global HS&E with The Dow Chemical Company in Midland, Michigan and also held a variety of domestic and international leadership positions in manufacturing, site HS&E, process engineering, process control and information systems. Mr. Smolik currently holds a number of leadership positions with organizations including the University of Texas at Austin (Engineering Advisory Board), World Environment Center (Board of Directors), Antwerp International School Foundation (President, Board of Directors), Ducks Unlimited (Conservation Programs Committee) and the Coastal Conservation Association (Foundation Committee).
