Mr. H. Eric Bolton, Jr. is Chairman of the Board, President, Chief Executive Officer of Mid America Apartment Communities Inc. Mr. Bolton joined the company in 1994 as Vice President of Development and was named Chief Operating Officer in February 1996 and promoted to President in December 1996. Mr. Bolton assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer following the planned retirement of George E. Cates in October 2001 and became Chairman of the Board of Directors in September 2002. Mr. Bolton was with Trammell Crow Company for more than five years, and prior to joining the company was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Trammell Crow Realty Advisors. |

Mr. Albert M. Campbell, III, CPA., is Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President of Mid America Apartment Communities Inc. Prior to his appointment as CFO on January 1, 2010, Mr. Campbell served as Executive Vice President, Treasurer and Director of Financial Planning and was responsible for managing the funding requirements of the business to support corporate strategy. Mr. Campbell joined the company in 1998 and was responsible for external reporting and financial planning. Mr. Thomas L. Grimes, Jr., is Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President of Mid America Apartment Communities Inc. Mr. Grimes was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in December 2011, having previously served as Executive Vice President and Director of Property Management. Prior to this position Mr. Grimes served the company as an Operations Director over the Central and North Regions.
