Fowlem, Adam Mr. Adam P. Fowlem serves as Chief Executive and Executive Director of Mitchells & Butlers PLC. He was appointed Chief Executive on August 3, 2009 having been Acting Chief Executive since May 21, 2009. He joined the Board as Managing Director Restaurants on October 1, 2007. He has more than 20 years of experience in licensed retailing having joined Mitchells & Butlers in 1984, holding a number of operational and strategic roles. He was also retail director at J Sainsbury plc for two years before rejoining Mitchells & Butlers in 2005 as Business Development Director.
Townsend, Jeremy Mr. Jeremy Townsend serves as Finance Director, Executive Director of Mitchells & Butlers PLC with effect from January 31, 2008. He was appointed as Finance Director in January 2008 having been Deputy Finance Director since June 2005. He was previously employed by J Sainsbury plc where he held various finance roles including Group Financial Controller, Corporate Finance Director and Strategy Director. Robson, Ronald Mr. Ronald Alexander Robson has been appointed as Non-Executive Director of Mitchells & Butlers plc., effective January 22, 2010. Mr Robson is currently chief financial officer of Tamar Capital Partners, a property investment and management group owned by family interests of Joe Lewis and was previously group finance director of Kenmore, a property investment and management group with £2bn of assets under management. From 2005 to 2008 he was group finance director of The Belhaven Group plc, a listed vertically integrated brewing, drink distribution and pub retailing group. Prior to that he held a number of senior finance roles including group finance director of a listed shipping and logistics group, and trained as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen.
Lankester, Tim Sir Tim Lankester was appointed as Independent Non-Executive Director of Mitchells & Butlers PLC in May 2003. He is President of Corpus Christi College, Oxford. From 1973 to 1995 he was a member of the Civil Service rising to be deputy secretary of HM Treasury, Permanent Secretary, Overseas Development Administration, Foreign and Commonwealth Office and Permanent Secretary, Department for Education. He served as Private Secretary at 10 Downing Street and represented the UK on the boards of the World Bank and the IMF. He has held Non-Executive Directorships of CU/CGU, the London Metal Exchange and Smith & Nephew and currently is a Non-Executive Director of ACTIS Capital.
