Mr. Gary L. Crocker is Independent Chairman of the Board of Merrimack Pharmaceuticals Inc. He has served as a member of board of directors since 2004 and as chairman of board of directors since 2005. Mr. Crocker is President, Manager and Chairman of Crocker Ventures, LLC, a privately-held life science investment firm funding differentiated technologies in the areas of biotechnology and medical devices. Mr. Crocker has held senior executive positions or served on the board of directors of several privately-held life science companies, including as chairman of the board of ARUP Laboratories, co-founder and director of Theratech, Inc., President and Chief Executive Officer, founder and member of the board of directors of Research Medical, Inc. and as a member of the board of directors of Interleuken Genetics, Inc., The Med-Design Corporation and LineaGen Genetics, LLC. Mr. Crocker served as a member of the board of the Federal Reserve Branch of San Francisco from 1999 to 2007. John Mendelsohn |
Dr. John Mendelsohn, M.D., has been appointed as Director of Merrimack Pharmaceuticals, Inc., with effect from June 13, 2012. Dr. Mendelsohn, an internationally cancer research, served as president of MD Anderson from 1996 to 2011 and remains on the faculty as co-director of the new Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Institute for Personalized Cancer Therapy. Mendelsohn is recognized for his research on the binding of growth factors to cell surface receptors and how they regulate cell functions. Mendelsohn earned his bachelor's degree in sciences magna cum laude from Harvard College in 1958. He was the first undergraduate student of James D. Watson, Ph.D., who later won the Nobel Prize in Medicine for identifying the structure of DNA. After spending a year in Scotland as a Fulbright Scholar in biochemistry, Mendelsohn received his medical degree cum laude from Harvard Medical School in 1963. He was founding director of the cancer center at University of California San Diego in 1977 and served as Chairman of Medicine at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center 1985-1996, before moving to MD Anderson. |
James Quigley |
Mr. James H. Quigley has been appointed as Director of Merrimack Pharmaceuticals, Inc., effective July 16, 2012. Quigley recently retired as a Senior Partner with Deloitte LLP. He is the co-author of "As One: Individual Action, Collective Power" (2011), a book that addresses the leadership challenge of creating environments that inspire groups to work together toward a common goal. Mr. Gordon J. Fehr is Independent Director of Merrimack Pharmaceuticals Inc. Mr. Fehr also currently serves on the board of directors of the Research Institute of McGill University Health Centers. In 1963, Mr. Fehr joined Pfizer Canada, Inc., or Pfizer Canada, as the Assistant to the President of Pfizer Canada and later became Pfizer Canada's Controller and the General Manager of the Chemical Division. In 1972, Mr. Fehr was named Chairman and President of Pfizer Canada, a position he held until his retirement in 1994. Mr. Fehr served as a member of the board of directors of Labopharm, Inc. from 1998 to 2007.
