| McEwen, Robert | Mr. Robert R. McEwen has been appointed as Executive Chairman of the Board, Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of Minera Andes Inc effective June 18, 2009. He has served as Executive Chairman of the Board of Minera Andes Inc. Mr. McEwen is the Chairman and CEO of U.S. Gold (TSX and AMEX: UXG). He is a recipient of the Order of Canada, Canada's highest civilian honor. A Canadian mining industry entrepreneur, with active exploration underway in Nevada and Mexico, Mr. McEwen was the founder, former chairman and CEO of Goldcorp Inc., which he built from an investment company with a $50 million market capitalization to one of the largest gold-mining companies in the world with an $8 billion market capitalization by the time he retired from the company. His achievements in natural resources have been recognized with such honors as The Northern Miner's Man of the Year Award; Ernst & Young's Ontario Entrepreneur of the Year in the Energy Category; and the Developer of the Year Award from the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada. |
| John, Henry | Mr. Henry John is Chief Financial Officer of Minera Andes Inc. since November 9, 2007 and employee since September 1, 2007. Mr. John has been a chartered accountant in British Columbia since 1974 and a certified public accountant in Washington State since 1998, has accounting and auditing experience with public corporations, including junior exploration/mining companies. In Spokane, he has been associated with the accounting firm of LeMaster & Daniels where his duties included audits, review and regulatory oversight compliance. | Duff, James | Mr. James Duff has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer of Minera Andes Inc. Mr. Duff has more than 30 years of diverse international mining experience in the United States, Canada, South America, Australia and New Zealand. A professional geologist, Mr. Duff most recently served at Coeur d'Alene Mines Corp. for 18 years in successively responsible positions, including vice-president of business development, and, most recently, president of South American operations. In the latter position he was responsible for Coeur's underground gold and silver mining operations in Chile and Argentina and the development and start-up of the 5,000-ton-per-day San Bartolome silver mine in Bolivia. Mr. Duff holds a bachelor's degree in geology from the University of Nevada and a master's degree from the University of Idaho. He has completed graduate studies in international management at the Whitworth University School of Global Commerce and Management in Spokane and the Program for Management Development at the Harvard School of Business. He is a past president and honorary life member of the Northwest Mining Association and a registered professional geologist. |
