Name Description
McEwen, Robert Mr. Robert R. McEwen has been appointed as Executive Chairman of the Board, Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of Minera Andes Inc effective June 18, 2009. He has served as Executive Chairman of the Board of Minera Andes Inc. Mr. McEwen is the Chairman and CEO of U.S. Gold (TSX and AMEX: UXG). He is a recipient of the Order of Canada, Canada's highest civilian honor. A Canadian mining industry entrepreneur, with active exploration underway in Nevada and Mexico, Mr. McEwen was the founder, former chairman and CEO of Goldcorp Inc., which he built from an investment company with a $50 million market capitalization to one of the largest gold-mining companies in the world with an $8 billion market capitalization by the time he retired from the company. His achievements in natural resources have been recognized with such honors as The Northern Miner's Man of the Year Award; Ernst & Young's Ontario Entrepreneur of the Year in the Energy Category; and the Developer of the Year Award from the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada.
John, Henry Mr. Henry John is Chief Financial Officer of Minera Andes Inc. since November 9, 2007 and employee since September 1, 2007. Mr. John has been a chartered accountant in British Columbia since 1974 and a certified public accountant in Washington State since 1998, has accounting and auditing experience with public corporations, including junior exploration/mining companies. In Spokane, he has been associated with the accounting firm of LeMaster & Daniels where his duties included audits, review and regulatory oversight compliance. During 2006, while with LeMaster & Daniels, Mr. John performed Sarbanes-Oxley work for Minera Andes, and is familiar with the company through his engagement.
Duff, James Mr. James Duff has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer of Minera Andes Inc. Mr. Duff has more than 30 years of diverse international mining experience in the United States, Canada, South America, Australia and New Zealand. A professional geologist, Mr. Duff most recently served at Coeur d'Alene Mines Corp. for 18 years in successively responsible positions, including vice-president of business development, and, most recently, president of South American operations. In the latter position he was responsible for Coeur's underground gold and silver mining operations in Chile and Argentina and the development and start-up of the 5,000-ton-per-day San Bartolome silver mine in Bolivia. Mr. Duff holds a bachelor's degree in geology from the University of Nevada and a master's degree from the University of Idaho. He has completed graduate studies in international management at the Whitworth University School of Global Commerce and Management in Spokane and the Program for Management Development at the Harvard School of Business. He is a past president and honorary life member of the Northwest Mining Association and a registered professional geologist.

Marter, Allan Mr. Allan J. Marter is a Director of Minera Andes Inc. since November 9, 2006. He is President of the board and director of EURO Resources SA, a gold royalty company, (2005 to 2009), director of Franconia Minerals Corporation (2006 to present), chief financial officer of Golden Star Resources Ltd. (1999 to 2006), and president of Waiata Inc., Mr. Marter’s personal services company. Mr. Marter has more than 30 years experience in the financial sector of the mining industry. Mr. Marter was Chief Financial Officer of Golden Star Resources Ltd., a TSX listed company between 1999 and 2006. Mr. Marter served as President of the board and as a director of EURO Ressources SA until January 2009, a TSX and Euronext listed company and has previously served as an officer and director of a number of North American junior exploration and mining companies. Mr. Marter is also currently a director of Franconia Minerals Corporation, a TSX listed company.
Lazarovici, Victor Mr. Victor Lazarovici is a Director of Minera Andes Inc. He is director of Abacus Mining and Exploration (July 2008 to present), managing director - senior base metals and minerals, BMO Capital Markets (1998 to 2008). Mr. Lazarovici was the managing director, senior base metals and minerals analyst for BMO Capital Markets (New York) from 1998 to 2008. From 1993-1998, Mr. Lazarovici served as a managing director and senior metals and minerals analyst for Smith Barney (New York). Mr. Lazarovici has completed the SEC Series 86 and 87 examinations. Prior to entering the financial services industry, Mr. Lazarovici held several financial management positions in manufacturing and mining industries. Mr. Lazarovici holds a bachelor of engineering from Sir George Williams University and an MBA from York University.
Quick, Donald Dr. Donald R.M. Quick is a Director of Minera Andes Inc. Dr. Quick is a Private investor, a director of Goldcorp Inc. (2000 to 2006) and a director of CSA Management (1996 to 2000). Prior to 2003 Dr. Quick was in private practice as a chiropractor.

He is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of MPI Group Inc., a company engaged in real estate investment and development (1994 to present); Chairman of the board of directors and director of Canadian Apartment Properties Real Estate Investment Trust (TSX) (May 1997 to present); a director of CSA Management Inc.
