Name Description

Robert Phillips

 Mr. Robert Lawrence Phillips, QC, is Independent Chairman of the Board of Macdonald Dettwiler And Associates Ltd. He has been a Director of the Company since October 22, 2003. Mr. Phillips is a Corporate Director. Mr. Phillips retired as President and Chief Executive Officer of the BCR Group of Companies in 2004. Prior to joining BCR, Mr. Phillips was Executive Vice President, Business Development and Strategy for MacMillan Bloedel Ltd. and previously held the positions of President and Chief Executive Officer at the PTI Group and Dreco Energy Services Ltd. Mr. Phillips has also enjoyed a prestigious law career and was appointed Queen’s Counsel in Alberta in 1991. Currently, Mr. Phillips is a Director of several corporations, including Canadian Western Bank, Capital Power Corporation, Precision Drilling Corporation, Axia NetMedia Corporation, and West Fraser Timber Co. Ltd. Mr. Phillips has attained degrees in chemical engineering, business and law from the University of Alberta.

Daniel Friedmann

 Mr. Daniel E. Friedmann is President, Chief Executive Officer, Non-independent Director of Macdonald Dettwiler & Associates Ltd. Mr. Friedmann joined the Company in 1979 and has held a number of positions in the Company, including engineering operations, sales and marketing and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Friedmann holds a Masters degree in engineering physics from the University of British Columbia.

Brian Kenning

 Mr. Brian G. Kenning is Independent Vice Chairman of the Board of Macdonald Dettwiler & Associates Ltd. Mr. Kenning is a Corporate Director. Mr. Kenning was a Managing Partner of Brookfield Asset Management, a company involved in the real estate, asset management and power generation sectors, from 1995 to January 2005. From 1988 to 2005, Mr. Kenning was also Chairman and Managing Partner of B.C. Pacific Capital Corporation, a Brookfield affiliate active in merchant banking and investing. Mr. Kenning is currently a Director of the British Columbia Ferry Services Inc., Royal Oak Ventures Inc., and UBC Investment Management. Mr. Kenning has also been Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the B.C. Cancer Foundation. Over the past ten years, Mr. Kenning has served as Director of a number of public and private corporations, including Canadian Hunter Explorations, Ltd., Canadian Northstar Corporation, Northgate Exploration Limited, Great Lakes Power Inc., International Utility Structures Inc., British Columbia Railway Company, British Columbia Ferry Authority, and several private corporations. In addition, Mr. Kenning is a past Governor of the B.C. Business Council, a past Director of the B.C. chapter of the Institute of Corporate Directors, and has served as Board Chairman of St. George’s School (1998-2000) and Board Chairman of Brentwood College School (1990-1995). Mr. Kenning graduated from Queen's University with an MBA in 1973.

Anil Wirasekara

 Mr. Anil Wirasekara is Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President of Macdonald, Dettwiler & Associates Ltd. Mr. Wirasekara joined the Company in 1992. Mr. Wirasekara’s professional affiliations include The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK), The Society of Management Accountants of B.C. and The Institute of Chartered Accountants (Sri Lanka). Mr. Wirasekara is also a graduate of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and Management (UK). Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Wirasekara held financial management positions with multi-national organization and was with the Sri Lanka office of Ernst & Young.

 Mr. John C. Celli is President of Space Systems/Loral LLC, subsidiary of MacDonald Dettwiler and Associates Ltd.

Herbert Satterlee

 Mr. Herbert F. Satterlee is Chief Executive Officer of MDA Information Systems LLC., the subsidiary of MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. He holds an MBA from the University of Washington and a B.A., Business Administration from Washington State University. He joined the Company in April 2010. Prior to MDA, Mr. Satterlee was President and Chief Executive Officer of Novariant, Inc. and prior to Novariant was Chief Executive Officer of DigitalGlobe, Inc.

Peter Louis

 Mr. Peter Louis is Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President of Macdonald Dettwiler & Associates Ltd. Mr. Louis joined the Company in 1983. He holds an MBA from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours degree) from the University of Manitoba. He has held numerous positions within the Company, including Executive Vice President and General Manager of Information Products, Vice President and Division General Manager of Geographical Land Information Products, Director of Operations of Property Information Products and Director of Business Development, Information Systems.

Magued Iskander

 Mr. Magued Iskander is Executive Vice President, General Manager - Surveillance and Intelligence of Macdonald Dettwiler & Associates Ltd. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from McGill University and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial/Production Engineering from Cairo University in Egypt. He joined the Company in 1999 following the acquisition of the Advanced Technology and Robotics Program of the Space Systems Division of Spar Aerospace Limited. Mr. Iskander held various positions with Spar Aerospace Limited from 1990 to 1999, including Vice President and General Manager. From the early 1970s until he joined Spar Aerospace Limited, Mr. Iskander worked for various companies in the aircraft industry including Bombardier Inc.

Gordon Thiessen

 Mr. Gordon D. Thiessen is Vice President, Corporate Secretary of Macdonald Dettwiler & Associates Ltd. Mr. Thiessen joined the Company in 1988, became Corporate Controller in 1990 and Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Secretary in 1999. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Thiessen was a senior manager with accounting firm in Vancouver, British Columbia. Mr. Thiessen holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia and is a Chartered Accountant.

Terry Piche

 Mr. Terry W. Piche is Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer and Assistant Corporate Secretary of Macdonald Dettwiler & Associates Ltd. He is a Certified Professional Purchaser, an accreditation received through the University of Alberta and the Purchasing Management Association of Canada. He spent 14 years at Syncrude Canada Ltd. in various management positions. Mr. Piche joined MDA in 1986 and has worked in international contracts management, program management and corporate management positions.

Brian Bentz

 Mr. Brian C. Bentz is Independent Director of Macdonald Dettwiler & Associates Ltd. Mr. Bentz has held several executive positions in the engineering and project management field over a 38-year career, including President, Oilsands and Mining of AMEC Americas Limited, and President and Chief Executive Officer of Simons International Corporation. Mr. Bentz is a Director of Capital Power Corporation, Vancouver Airport Authority, and Trinidad Drilling Ltd. Mr. Bentz is a former Director of Seacliff Construction Corporation, B.C. Telecom Inc., Czar Oil and Gas Corporation, WDC Exploration and Wells Corporation, and the Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnerships, and a former Governor of the B.C. Business Council.  Mr. Thomas S. Chambers is Independent Director of Macdonald Dettwiler & Associates Ltd. Mr. Chambers is President of Senior Partner Services Ltd., which provides business advisory services. Prior to his current position, Mr. Chambers served for 26 years as a Partner in various senior management roles with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Mr. Chambers is currently a Director of Coopers Park Corporation. Mr. Chambers is a Chartered Accountant and was named a Fellow by the B.C Institute of Chartered Accountants (FCA) in 1995.

Dennis Chookaszian

 Mr. Dennis H. Chookaszian is Independent Director of Macdonald Dettwiler & Associates Ltd. Mr. Chookaszian is a Corporate Director. From November 1999 until February 2001, Mr. Chookaszian served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of mPower, Inc., a financial advice provider focused on the online management of 401(k) plans. Mr. Chookaszian served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CNA Insurance Companies ("CNA") from September 1992 to February 1999.  Mr. Fares F. Salloum is Independent Director of Macdonald Dettwiler & Associates Ltd. Mr. Salloum is a Corporate Director. Mr. Salloum retired from Verizon Communications in 2002, where he was President, International-the Americas. He was Senior Vice President, International Operations for GTE Corporation from 1997 to 2000. Prior to GTE, Mr. Salloum was with BC Telecom Inc. in various senior executive positions from 1973 to 1997.
