Mr. Stiefel brings more than 25 years of experience in the dermatology industry to the EOS Board. Mr. Stiefel served as the Chairman and CEO of Stiefel Laboratories, Inc. from 2001 to July 2009 when he stepped down after overseeing GlaxoSmithKline's successful acquisition of the company. He joined Stiefel Laboratories as General Counsel in 1982 and was subsequently named Executive Vice President and then President of the company. He had served as a member of Stiefel Laboratories' Board of Directors since 1975. In 2003, the South Florida Dermatology Foundation awarded him the Lifetime Achievement Award, and he was named Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year in Health Sciences for the State of Florida in 2006. In 2007, the American Academy of Dermatology honored him with its Distinguished Service Award. Mr. Stiefel earned his B.S. degree at Yale University, and was valedictorian of his class at Albany Law School. |
