Name Description

Allen Sangines-Krause

Dr. Allen Sangines-Krause, Ph.D., has served as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of Millicom International Cellular SA since May 26, 2010. Between May 27, 2008 and May 26, 2010, he acted as Non-Executive Independent Member of the Company’s Board of Directors. He is Chairman of the Compensation Committee and Member of the Nominations Committee at the Company. Additionally to his current duties at the Company, he acts as Member of the Board of Investment AB Kinnevik and is Chairman of Rasaland, a real estate investment fund, as well as Member of the Council of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences of Harvard University. From 1993 until 2007, he served for Goldman Sachs between, in a variety of senior positions from Chief Operating Officer for Latin America based in Mexico City and New York and most recently as Managing Director out of London. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, he was with Casa de Bolsa Inverlat, in Mexico, and before that he was a Founding Partner of Fidem, S.C., a Mexican investment bank, which was acquired by Casa de Bolsa Inverlat in 1991. Mr. Allen Sangines-Krause holds a Doctorate in Philosophy from Harvard University.

Hans-Holger Albrecht

Mr. Hans Holger Albrecht has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Millicom International Cellular SA since October 31, 2012. He previously was Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company from May 2010 until July 31, 2012. He was also Member of the Company's Compensation Committee. He joined the Company on September 16, 2012. Since 2000, he has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Modern Times Group MTG AB. Before joining Modern Times Group in 1997, he worked for Daimler-Benz and for the Luxembourg-based media group CLT, where he was responsible for all television activities and for business development in Germany and Eastern Europe. He is co-Chairman of CTC Media Inc and Member of the Board of the International Emmy Association in New York. Mr. Hans Holger Albrecht holds a Doctorate in Philosophy in Law from Ruhr-Universitaet Bochum.

Francois-Xavier Roger

Mr. Francois-Xavier Roger has served as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Executive Vice President at Millicom International Cellular SA since September 1, 2008. He previously worked for Danone, where he served as Vice President of Corporate Finance from 2006 and as Chief Financial Officer for Danone Asia from 2000 to 2005. Prior to that, he worked for Aventis and for Hoechst Marion Roussel, where he managed businesses for Hoechst in Asia, Africa and Latin America. He a Master of Business Administration degree majoring in Marketing from Ohio State University, as well as a Master's degree in Accounting from Audencia Nantes Ecole de Management.

Mario Zanotti

Mr. Mario Zanotti has served as Senior Executive Vice President of Operations at Millicom International Cellular SA since December 2012. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer in charge of Categories & Global Sourcing from 2011, and between 2008 and 2011, he acted as Chief Officer Latin America within the Company. He was previously Head of Central America with the Company from 2002. He joined the Company in 1992 as General Manager of Telecel in Paraguay. In 1998, he became Managing Director of Tele2 Italy and in 2000, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of YXK Systems. Before joining the Company, he worked as Electrical Engineer at the Itaipu Hydroelectric Power Plant and later as Chief Engineer of an electrical contractor company in Paraguay. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Pontificia Universidade Catolica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), as well as a Master of Business Administration degree from INCAE and the Universidad Catolica de Asuncion, Paraguay.

Xavier Rocoplan

Mr. Xavier Rocoplan has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology and Information Officer (CTIO) at Millicom International Cellular SA since December 7, 2012. He was previously Chief Global Networks Officer, a position he held from April 2012. He joined Millicom in 2000 as CTO in Vietnam and then became CTO for the South East Asian cluster (Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam). In 2004, he was appointed CEO of Paktel in Pakistan, a role he held until 2007. During this time, he launched Paktel’s GSM operations and led the process that was concluded with the disposal of the business in 2007. After Millicom’s exit from Asia, he was appointed to head the New Corporate Business development unit where he managed the Tower Assets Monetization program which led to the creation of tower companies in Ghana, Tanzania, DRC and Colombia. He holds Master's degrees from Ecole Nationale Superieure des Telecommunications de Paris and from Universite Paris IX Dauphine.

Jo Leclere

Mr. Jo Leclere has been Executive Vice President of Human Resources (HR) at Millicom International Cellular SA since 2011. He joined the Company in February 2009 as Head of Reward and Performance, having previously been Vice President of Operations Europe at NorthgateArinso, a global HR consulting and outsourcing provider. Prior to this position, he was HR Services Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He holds a Master's degree in Law, as well as a postgraduate degree in Tax and a Bachelors degree in Economics.

Martin Lewerth

Mr. Martin Lewerth has served as Executive Vice President of Home and Digital Media at Millicom International Cellular SA since December 7, 2012. He was Executive Vice President Pay TV and Technology at MTG. He joined MTG in 2001, where he served in various management positions including CTO for MTG, CEO for the IPTV distribution, Business area manager for the Pay TV business and manager responsible for the group's online strategy and operations. Before joining MTG, he worked for the management consulting firm Applied Value and the Swedish company SKF Group. He holds a Master of Science from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden.

Anders Nilsson

Mr. Anders Nilsson has served as Executive Vice President of Commerce and Services at Millicom International Cellular SA since December 7, 2012. He oversees the Mobile Financial Services business and the newly created Online division. Prior to joining Millicom, he was EVP of Central European Broadcasting at MTG, responsible for free and pay TV operations in the Baltics and free-TV operations in the Czech Republic, Bulgaria and Hungary. He joined MTG in 1992 and he headed the group's Radio and Publishing businesses before serving as MTG's COO and Head of MTG Sweden. Between 2008 and 2010, Mr. Nilsson was also CEO of MTG's Online business area which was spun off in 2010 into what is now CDON.

Regis Romero

Mr. Regis Romero has served as Executive Vice President of Africa and South America at Millicom International Cellular SA since December 7, 2012. Previously, he was Chief Operating Officer Global Markets at the Company from 2011. Between 2008 and 2011, he acted as Chief Officer for Africa within the Company. He was Co-Head of Africa of the Company from 2006. He has been with the Company since 1998, initially as Commercial Manager in Bolivia, then as Chief Operating Officer in Paraguay. Prior to joining the Company, he worked as Investment Consultant for Interamerican Development Bank in Paraguay. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from California National University and a Master's degree in Business Management from La Escuela de Administracion de Negocios, EDAN, and has completed the Senior Executive Program at London Business School.

Marc Zagar

Mr. Marc Zagar has served as Executive Vice President of Controlling and Analytics at Millicom International Cellular SA since December 7, 2012. Prior to joining Millicom and since October 2011, Mr. Zagar was EVP Finance at MTG. He joined MTG in 2001 as Business Area Controller of Viasat broadcasting. In March 2006, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer for MTG's broadcasting businesses. Prior to joining MTG, he worked for over 10 years in various financial management positions within Vivendi Universal, having started his career with Steelcase Strafor. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree from CESEM Business School in Reims (Reims Management School) and has a Master's degree from Universite Paris Dauphine.

Julian Eccles

Mr. Julian Eccles has been appointed Vice President, Corporate Communications at Millicom International Cellular SA, effective as of March 2013. He is responsible for the Company’s public and media relations and internal communications. His experience includes being Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs at BSkyB plc, Communications Director at Britain’s telecoms regulator Ofcom and a Special Adviser to the United Kingdom Government’s Department for Culture, Media and Sport.

Mia Brunell Livfors

Ms. Mia Brunell Livfors has served as Non-Executive Member of the Board of Directors of Millicom International Cellular SA since May 2007. She is Chairman of the CSR Committee and Member of the Compensation Committee of the Company. Additionally to her current duties at the Company, she acts as Chairman of the Board of Metro International S.A. and Member of the Board of Tele2 AB, Modern Times Group MTG AB, BillerudKorsnas AB, CDON Group and H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB. Anders Kronborg

Mr. Anders Kronborg no longer serves as Non-Executive Member of the Board of Directors of Millicom International Cellular SA, effective as of May 28, 2013. He has held this position since December 5, 2012 and was a Member of the Company's Audit Committee. He started his career with the Kinnevik group in 2007, when he was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Metro International SA, the international free newspaper group. On May 1, 2012, Mr. Kronborg was appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Investment AB Kinnevik. He also served as Chief Financial Officer of Danish Broadcaster TV2 and held executive positions with Danish newspaper Group, Berlingske Media A/S. Mr. Kronborg holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Copenhagen University (Koebenhavns Universitet).

Donna Cordner

Ms. Donna Cordner no longer serves as Non-Executive Independent Member of the Board of Directors of Millicom International Cellular SA, effective as of May 28, 2013. She has held this position since May 2004. She was Member of the Audit and CSR Committees of the Company. She was formerly Managing Director and Global Head of Telecommunications and Media Structured Finance group at Citigroup. She has also held senior management positions at Societe Generale and ABN Amro Bank N.V. in the United States and Europe, including as Director of ABN's Latin American Telecommunications Project Finance and Advisory Group. She also acted as Chief Executive Officer of HOFKAM Limited until July 2005 and she continues to advise HOFKAM as a consultant. From March 2007 until July 2009, she held senior positions at Tele2 AB including Executive Vice President of Corporate Finance and Treasury as well as Chief Executive Officer for Tele2 Russia. Ms. Cordner is currently member of the Supervisory Board of Carlsberg Group.

Paul Donovan

Mr. Paul Donovan has served as Non-Executive Independent Director of Millicom International Cellular SA since May 2009. He is Member of the Audit Committee of the Company. He was director and Chief Executive Officer of Eircom from July 2009 to September 2012. Prior to this he was Chief Executive for EMAPA Region for the Vodafone Group until 2008. His background includes a decade in the consumer goods industry, before he moved into the technology sector, principally with BT and Vodafone. His career with Vodafone began in 1999 and, since 2004, he has overseen Vodafone's operations in subsidiaries in Eastern Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific. Africa, the United States, India and China were added to his remit in 2006. Mr. Paul Donovan holds a Masters degree in Business Administration degree from Bradford University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University College London.

Kim Ignatius

Mr. Kim Ignatius has served as a Non-Executive Independent Director of Millicom International Cellular SA since May 31, 2011. He is Chairman of the Company's Audit Committee. Additionally to his current duties at the Company, he acts as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Sanoma Corporation, which he joined in 2008. Previously, he was Executive Vice President (EVP) and CFO of TeliaSonera AB between 2003 and 2008, and EVP and CFO of Sonera Oyj between 2000 and 2002. Before joining Sonera, he was Group CFO and Member of the Executive Board of Tamro Oyj between 1997 and 2000. From 1984 to 1996, he worked for the Amer Group in a variety of Finance and General Management roles in both North America and Europe. He started his career with Oy Hanke-Palsbo Ab and Fruehauf Corporation in a series of Finance roles. Mr. Kim Ignatius graduated from the School of Economics at the Aalto University in Helsinki with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. He is currently on the Board of Fortum Corporation where he serves as Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee.

Omari Issa

Mr. Omari Issa has been Non-Executive Independent Director of Millicom International Cellular SA since May 2010. He is Member of the Audit Committee and Compensation Committee of the Company. Additionally to his current duties at the Company, he acts as Chief Executive Officer of Investment Climate Facility (ICF) for Africa and is a Board Member of Geita Gold Mining Company. He is responsible for managing the ICF's seven-year program to improve Africa's investment climate and remove barriers to growth. He has business experience in the public and private sectors, having worked in both Africa and abroad. He previously worked as Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of Celtel International. Prior to working at Celtel, he spent 14 years with the IFC and six years with the World Bank. He has a Bachelor of Science from the Polytechnic of Central London and an MBA from Columbia University, New York.

Dionisio Romero Paoletti

Mr. Dionisio Romero Paoletti no longer serves as Non-Executive Independent Member of the Board of Directors of Millicom International Cellular SA, effective as of May 28, 2013. He has held this position since May 29, 2012 and was a Member of the Company's Audit Committee. He is Chairman and President of the Romero Group, a Peruvian business group founded in the late 1800s and today comprising companies across a range of sectors from consumer products to textiles, logistics, infrastructure, trading and services. He developed his executive career within several companies in the Romero Group and succeeded his father as Chairman of the Group in 2001. He has served as a Board Member of Credicorp and Banco De Credito del Peru since 2003 and as Chairman since 2009. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Brown University and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Stanford University.
