Kopejtka, Paul Mr. Paul Kopejtka is an Executive Chairman of Murchison Metals Ltd. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) degree from Curtin University WA specialising in the mineral resources sector. Mr. Kopejtka has over 20 years experience in the mining industry as an engineer and consultant in the areas of green and brown fields project evaluation and feasibility study management, plant design and engineering and commissioning. This experience extends to both the Australian and overseas mining industry. Throughout the 1990s he held tenure as a technical consultant with the Minproc and Bateman engineering groups before branching out in a similar capacity working with a number of major publicly listed companies.
Westdorp, John Mr. John Westdorp serves as Chief Financial Officer of Murchison Metals Limited. He has extensive resource sector experience in Australia and overseas with some of the world’s largest global mining companies, including Newmont Australia, North Limited and Robe River Iron Associates. Mr. Westdorp had 11 years experience at Robe River Iron Associates and was the senior finance member of North Limited’s Major Projects Group during the development of Robe River’s $1bn West Angelas iron ore mine. Mr. Westdorp was the General Manager of Finance for Burrup Fertilisers Pty Ltd where he was intimately involved in the funding and construction of the world’s largest ammonia plant in the North West of Western Australia.
Foley, Chris Mr. Chris Foley serves as Legal Counsel, Company Secretary of Murchison Metals Limited. In addition, Mr Gregory was involved in the development and implementation of business improvement programs to increase the efficiency of BHPB Iron Ore’s processing operations at the Orebody 18 and Area C mines.
Rocchi, Luca Mr. Luca Rocchi serves as Chief Mining Engineer of Murchison Metals Limited. Mr. Rocchi has 28 years experience in the mining industry in Australia. He has held a number of operational and technical roles ranging from supervisory and management through to technical positions. In his previous role as Manager Resource Strategy for BHP Billiton - Illawarra Coal, he was responsible for the long term planning of the operations and the future development options for the organisation. Mr. Rocchi is a Member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. He also holds a First Class Mine Managers Certificate of competency as well as a Masters Degree in Mining Management from the University of Wollongong.
Wright, Jamie Mr. Jamie Wright serves as Manager - Corporate Development of Murchison Metals Limited. Mr. Wright has more than eight years experience in corporate finance, investment banking and the mining industry. Prior to joining Murchison, Mr. Wright worked with RFC Corporate Finance Ltd, a specialist resourcesfocused investment bank, where he advised on mergers and acquisitions, strategy assignments and public markets listings for Australian and international mining companies. His qualifications include a B Eng (Mining) and BSc (Geology) as well as a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment.
McClements, James Mr. James McClements is serves as Non-Executive Director of Murchison Metals Limited. Mr. McClements is the co-founder of Resource Capital Funds (RCF) and is currently responsible for the implementation of RCF’s investment strategy. Prior to founding RCF in 1998, he was Senior Vice President and Director of NM Rothschild & Sons (Denver) Limited responsible for North American resource banking. Prior to moving to North America, Mr. McClements was with Rothschild Australia Limited in Sydney specialising in financing junior mining companies and other natural resource lending. He has also worked with Standard Chartered Bank Australia Limited as a resource industry credit analyst and with the Broken Hill Proprietary (BHP) mining company in its capital accounting division at Mt Newman.
Woo, Sun Moon Mr. Sun Moonserves as Non-Executive Director of Murchison Metals Limited. Mr. Woo joined POSCO in 1983 and has worked in the Raw Material Purchasing Division and Investment Division for 24 years. He has extensive experience in the natural resources industry and has managed POSCO investments in iron ore and coal projects globally including Australia and Brazil. Mr. Woo is currently Managing Director of POSCO Australia Pty Ltd which is a 100% subsidiary of POSCO.
Baxter, Rodney Rodney Baxter has been appointed as Non-Executive Director of Murchison Metals Ltd. Mr. Baxter has nearly 20 years experience in the resource sector. He was the Managing Director of Consolidated Minerals where he presided over its strategic transformation and sale. Prior to Consolidated Minerals, Mr. Baxter enjoyed a near 10 year career at Anglo American and Anglo Platinum in various senior executive and business development roles. He is currently the Managing Director of Calibre Global Pty Ltd.
