Name Description

Joe Mansueto

Mr. Joe Mansueto is Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer of Morningstar Inc., He founded Morningstar in 1984. He has served as chairman since the Company's inception and as chief executive officer from 1984 to 1996 and from 2000 to the present. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from The University of Chicago and a master's degree in business administration from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Stephane Biehler

Mr. Stéphane Biehler has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer of Morningstar Inc., effective November 4, 2013. Stephane has served as chief accounting officer and corporate controller for NYSE Euronext, a global operator of financial markets, since 2007. Stéphane worked for Archipelago Holdings as corporate controller from 2004 to 2006 and joined NYSE Group in 2006 as corporate controller when the firms merged.

Thomas Idzorek

Mr. Thomas Idzorek is President - Global Investment Management Division of Morningstar Inc., Mr. Idzorek is responsible for investment advisory, retirement solutions, and investment management operations in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. He oversees the Investment Policy Committee for the Investment Management division and serves on Morningstar's retirement plan committee. He joined the Company in 2006, when the Company acquired Ibbotson Associates. From 2006 until May 2012, Thomas was chief investment officer for Morningstar Investment Management. Gregory Goff

Mr. Gregory R. Goff is Chief Technology Officer of Morningstar Inc., He is responsible for Morningstar's global technology strategy. Before joining the Company in 2011, he was senior vice president of global platform technology for The Nielsen Company since 2009. He joined The Nielsen Company in 2004 as vice president of data warehousing. He has worked for Accenture and BlueMeteor, Inc. in Chicago. Richard Robbins

Mr. Richard E. Robbins is General Counsel, Corporate Secretary of Morningstar Inc., since August 2005. He is responsible for directing Morningstar's legal department and managing the relationships with outside counsel. He oversees compliance and corporate communications departments. From May 1999 until he joined Morningstar, he was a partner at Sidley Austin Brown & Wood LLP (now Sidley Austin LLP), which he joined as an associate in August 1991. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science and electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a juris doctor degree from The University of Chicago Law School.

Don Phillips

Mr. Don James Phillips, II, is Managing Director, Director of Morningstar Inc., He is no longer President - Investment Research Division of the Company effective January 1, 2014. He joined the Company in 1986 as first mutual fund analyst. He served as vice president and publisher from 1991 to 1996, as president from 1996 to 1998, and as chief executive officer from 1998 to 2000. He has been a managing director since 2000 and in 2009 took on additional responsibilities as president of fund research. Don's role expanded in 2012 to include oversight of the global equity and credit research. He has served on the board of directors since August 1999. Chris Boruff

Mr. Chris Boruff is Managing Director - Business Operations of Morningstar Inc., Mr. Boruff joined Morningstar in 1996 as a product manager. In 2000 he was named head of the advisor business. In 2009, he was named president of Morningstar's Software division, taking on responsibility for the firm's retail and institutional software products in addition to its advisor-focused offerings. He became head of Information Products in early 2013. Boruff holds a bachelor's degree in economics and psychology from Northwestern University.

Bevin Desmond

Ms. Bevin Desmond is Global Head - Markets and Human Resources of Morningstar Inc. Ms. Desmond is head of global markets and human resources for Morningstar, a role she has held since 2010. She is responsible for identifying and developing new markets, managing and directing operations, and overseeing human resources functions for all of Morningstar’s global operations. Previously, she was head of international operations from 2001 until 2010. She joined Morningstar in 1993.

Kunal Kapoor

Mr. Kunal Kapoor is Head - Information Products and Client Solutions of Morningstar Inc., Kapoor joined the firm as a data analyst in 1997. Since that time he has served as a mutual fund analyst, editor of Morningstar Mutual Funds, director of mutual fund analysis, director of international business strategy, president of Morningstar Investment Services, president of Individual Investor Software, and president of the firm's Data division. He was named head of Client Solutions in early 2013. Kapoor holds a bachelor's degree in economics and environmental policy from Monmouth College and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Society of Chicago.

Haywood Kelly

Mr. Haywood Kelly has been appointed as Global Head - Research of Morningstar Inc., effective January 1, 2014. Mr. Kelly was named head of equity research in 1998, served as head of equity and fund research from 2000 to 2008, and became head of equity and credit research in 2009. He has also served as editor of Morningstar StockInvestor® and interim president of Morningstar Credit Ratings, LLC. Most recently, he also took on responsibilities for Morningstar’s equity data area. He joined the company as a stock analyst in 1991. Kelly holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Chicago, where he graduated as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.

Catherine Odelbo

Ms. Catherine Gillis Odelbo is Head - Corporate Strategy and Partnerships of Morningstar Inc. atherine Gillis Odelbo is head of corporate strategy and partnerships, responsible for working with Morningstar’s senior management team on the company’s overall strategic planning process, mergers and acquisitions, and major partnerships. She has been in this role since 2012. Previously, she was president of equity and credit research from 2009 to 2012. Cathy joined Morningstar in 1988. She holds a bachelor's degree in American history from The University of Chicago and a master's degree in business administration from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

James Tanner

Mr. James Tanner is Global Head - Business Development and Sales of Morningstar, Inc., since January 2013. Previously he served as vice chairman of business development for Markit On Demand, a company he founded as Wall Street On Demand in 1991. In addition to his role as CEO, he also served in various roles for firms that have owned Wall Street On Demand, including head of sales for eBridge and head of distribution and vice chairman of business development for Markit, a UK-based global financial information company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Russian language and literature from Haverford College and a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard University.

David Williams

Mr. David W. Williams is Head - Design and Marketing of Morningstar Inc., since 2000. He is in charge of design and its application to brand identity, products, marketing communications, and the workplace. He joined the Company in 1993 and has been instrumental in establishing design as one of the recognized core capabilities. He holds a bachelor's degree in industrial design from The Ohio State University and a master's degree in fine arts from the Yale University School of Art.

Ms. Gail Landis is an Independent Director of Morningstar, Inc., Ms. Landis was elected to the Board in May 2013. She was a founding partner of Evercore Asset Management, LLC, an institutional asset management firm, and served as managing principal from 2005 until her retirement in December 2011. From 2003 to 2005, she served as head of distribution for the Americas for Credit Suisse Asset Management, the asset management division of Credit Suisse AG. William Lyons

Mr. William M. Lyons is Independent Director of Morningstar, Inc. He served as president and chief executive officer of American Century Companies, Inc., an investment management company, from September 2000 until his retirement in March 2007. From 1987 to 2000, he served in other capacities at American Century Companies, Inc., including as general counsel, chief operating officer, and president. He currently serves as a member of the board of directors of NIC Inc. and The NASDAQ Stock Market LLC.
