Name Description
Kannappan, Kenneth Kenneth Kannappan has served as a director since July 1998 and Chairman of Mattson Technology, Inc. since June 2008. Mr. Kannappan has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Plantronics, Inc., a telecommunications equipment manufacturer, since March 1998. From 1995 to 1998, Mr. Kannappan held various executive positions at Plantronics, Inc. From 1991 to 1995, Mr. Kannappan was Senior Vice President of Kidder, Peabody & Co. Incorporated, an investment banking company. Mr. Kannappan currently serves as a member of the board of directors of Plantronics, Inc.
Dutton, David David L. Dutton is President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Mattson Technology Inc since November 2007. Mr. Dutton also served as Mattson's President from October 2001 to June 2005 and from November 2007 to the present. From 1998 to 2000, Mr. Dutton served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Mattson. Mr. Dutton previously served as President of the Plasma Products Division. Mr. Dutton joined Mattson in 1994 as General Manager of the Strip/Plasma Etch division. Mr. Dutton started his career in the semiconductor industry in 1984 and held engineering management positions for wafer processing and development at Intel Corporation and Maxim Integrated Products, Inc. Moring, Andrew Mr. Andy Moring is Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President-Finance of Mattson Technology, Inc. Mr. Moring was promoted to Chief Financial Officer upon the resignation of William L. Turner in June 2008. He served as Mattson's Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller since July 2006. Prior to July 2006, Mr. Moring served at Applied Materials, Inc., a manufacturer of semiconductor fabrication equipment, for 17 years in various progressively responsible financial positions cumulating in his appointment as Vice President of Global Internal Audit. Mr. Moring holds a BS degree in Economics from the University of California, Riverside and an MBA from Santa Clara University.

Bolger, John John C. Bolger has been a director of Mattson Technology Inc since December 2006. Mr. Bolger also serves as Chairman of the Company's Audit Committee. Mr. Bolger is a retired Vice President of Finance and Administration of Cisco Systems, Inc., a manufacturer of computer networking systems. Mr. Bolger is currently a private investor and has served as a director of Cogent, Inc. since 2004; Mission West Properties, Inc. since 1998; and Wind River Systems, Inc. since 2000; all of which are public companies. Dyck, Richard Mr. Richard E. Dyck has been appointed as a Director of Mattson Technology, Inc. He has more than 30 years of senior-level executive experience in the semiconductor industry, serving as the current founder and President of TCS Japan K.K. and East Asia Connector Services, Ltd (Shanghai), a manufacturer of high speed connection systems, since 1999, and the founder and President of TGK, K.K. since 2009. Prior to his current role, he was the Vice- President and an Executive Officer of Teradyne, Inc., a semiconductor test equipment company, and the Chairman of Teradyne, Japan from 1982 until 1999. Dyck has a M.A. and Ph.D. from Harvard University in Sociology and East Asian Languages and a B.A. from California State University. He currently holds the following positions; Director and Chairman of Alphana Technology; Director of Avanstrate; member of the Board of Trustees of the Sasakawa Peace foundation; and a member of the Advisory Committee of the Japan External Trade Organization. He has also held several Committee positions at SEMI - Semiconductor Equipment and Material Industry Association. He is the recipient of the Bob Graham award for lifetime contributions to sales and marketing in the semiconductor industry.
