Fernando Zobel de Ayala

Mr. Fernando Zobel de Ayala serves as Chairman of the Board of Manila Water Company Inc since May 15, 1997. Mr. Geodino V. Carpio serves as Group Director - Operations of Manila Water Company Inc since April 11, 2011. In 2004, he became Group Director for the Project Delivery Group (PDG) where he led various construction and pipelaying projects for both water supply and wastewater. Since 2010, he heads the Operations Group, managing Water Supply and Wastewater Operations, including initiatives in environmental protection and innovation.

Ferdinand de la Cruz

Mr. Ferdinand M. de la Cruz serves as Group Director - East Zone Business Operations and Corporate Strategic Affairs of Manila Water Company Inc since July 1, 2011. He is also the Vice President of Manila Water Foundation and was elected President of Manila Water Total Solutions in December 2012. Before joining the Company, Mr. de la Cruz was the head of the Consumer Sales Group and the Consumer Sales and After Sales Group of Globe Telecom for two years, and was head of its Wireless Business Group for nearly seven years from October 2002 to June 2009. Prior to that, he was the President and General Manager of Kraft Foods (Philippines) Inc. for more than a year and the same company’s Country General Manager for its various operating companies in Indonesia for two years. Mr. de la Cruz also had senior leadership roles in Ayala Land, San Miguel Brewing Philippines, Inbisco Philippines and Unilever Philippines. He started his working career as a Junior Engineer in DCCD’s Mechanical Engineering Division in 1986. Mr. de la Cruz holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree (cum Laude) from the University of the Philippines. He is a board topnotcher and a licensed Mechanical Engineer.

Rodell Garcia

Mr. Rodell A. Garcia serves as a Chief Technology Adviser of Manila Water Company Inc since September 10, 2012. He graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. Mr. Garcia also spent 22 years in the banking industry, having worked in various capacities in companies, such as Citytrust Banking Corporation, where he last held the position of Vice President of Corporate Technology Division, and DBS Bank Philippines as Executive Vice President of Information Technology.

Ruel Maranan

Mr. Ruel T. Maranan serves as Group Director - Corporate Human Resources of Manila Water Company Inc. Mr. Maranan earned his AB Social Sciences degree from the Ateneo de Manila University and his law degree from the University of Santo Tomas. He has also completed the Leadership Management Program from Harvard University. Before joining the Company, he was the Division Head for Strategic Staffing and Employee Relations at Globe Telecom. He served as Chairman and an incumbent Director of the Ayala Multi-Purpose Cooperative. He was the Vice President of the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) last 2009. In 2011, he received the Communications Excellence in Organizations or CEO EXCEL Award from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).

Virgilio Rivera

Mr. Virgilio C. Rivera, Jr., serves as Group Director for Corporate Strategy Development of Manila Water Company Inc. Mr. Rivera holds a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Science (1982) a Bachelor of Science in Economics (1983) from the University of Santo Tomas. He has also completed the course work on graduate level (Master of Science) Economics Program at De La Salle University. In 2011, Mr. Rivera completed the Advanced Management Program of the Harvard Business School, Harvard University. Concurrently, Mr. Rivera is a Managing Director of Ayala Corporation. He also acted as Chairman of the Management's negotiating panel for the 2006 and 2008 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

Solomon Hermosura

Atty. Solomon M. Hermosura serves as Corporate Secretary of Manila Water Company Inc since April 3, 2006. He has been Managing Director of Ayala Corporation since 1999. He is also General Counsel and Compliance Officer of Ayala Corporation since 2009; Corporate Secretary of Ayala Corporation, Ayala Land, Inc., Globe Telecom Inc., Ayala Foundation, Inc., Philwater Holdings Company, Inc., Integrated Micro-Electronics, Inc. (until June 7, 2011) and a number of other companies in the Ayala group; and a member of the Board of Directors of a number of companies in the Ayala group. Atty. Jhoel P. Raquedan serves as Assistant Corporate Secretary and Head of Legal and Corporate Governance Department of Manila Water Company Inc since April 11, 2011. He is a Member of the Proxy Validation Committee.

Antonino Aquino

Mr. Antonino T. Aquino serves as Director of Manila Water Company Inc since March 30, 2009. Mr. Aquino completed the academic requirements for Masteral Degree in Business Management at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business (Ateneo de Manila University) and completed his Bachelor of Science in Management degree, at the Ateneo de Manila University. He joined the Company as Group Director for Corporate Affairs and was later appointed President in January 1999. He has been with the Ayala Group in various capacities for the past 29 years and now holds the position of Senior Managing Director. He was President of the Ayala Property Management Corporation from 1990 to 1998 and Senior Vice President of Ayala Land, Inc. from 1989 to 1998. He was also a Business Unit Manager at IBM Philippines, Inc. from 1968 to 1980. He is currently the President of Hero Foundation and Bonifacio Arts Foundation Inc. He also serves as a Member of the Board of various corporate social responsibility foundations, such as Ayala Foundation, Manila Water Foundation, and Makati Environment Foundation.

John Eric Francia

Mr. John Eric T. Francia serves as Director of Manila Water Company Inc since April 12, 2010. Mr. Francia received his undergraduate degree in Humanities and Political Economy from the University of Asia and the Pacific, graduating magna cum laude. He then completed his Masters Degree in Management Studies at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom, graduating with First Class Honors. Victoria Garchitorena

Simon Gardiner

Mr. Simon Gardiner serves as Director of Manila Water Company Inc since April 11, 2011. He has a Masters Degree from Cambridge University and is a qualified UK solicitor. Mr. Gardiner is the General Counsel and Company Secretary at United Utilities Group PLC, which he joined in 2002. He has experience in the UK regulated utility sector and internationally. He is a director of United Utilities International and AS Tallinna Vesi, the licensed water undertaker for the Estonian capital. Prior to joining United Utilities, he was a legal counsel for the UK based multi-national engineering group, GKN and an associate at the law firm, Osborne Clarke.

Ricardo Nicanor Jacinto

Mr. Ricardo Nicanor N. Jacinto serves as Director of Manila Water Company Inc since April 11, 2011. He completed his Masters Degree in Business Administration at the Harvard University in 1986. Mr. Jacinto is the President & CEO of the Institute of Corporate Directors. He is also the President of the Nicanor P Jacinto Jr Foundation, as well as a Director of LLL Holdings, Inc.

Delfin Lazaro

Mr. Delfin Lapus Lazaro serves as Director of Manila Water Company Inc since May 6, 2002. He graduated with Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering degree from the University of the Philippines in 1967 and took his Masters of Business Administration (with Distinction) from Harvard Graduate School of Business (Harvard University) in 1971. He was President and CEO of Benguet Corporation and Secretary of the Department of Energy of the Philippine government. He was named Management Man of the Year in 1999 by the Management Association of the Philippines.

Masaji Santo

Mr. Masaji Santo serves as a Director Manila Water Company Inc since July 24, 2012. He graduated from University of Tokyo, Japan, in 1981. Mr. Santo is also a Senior Vice President, Division COO in the Environment and Infrastructure Business Division in Mitsubishi Corporation. He held previous positions in the same company as President of Mitsubishi Chile Limitada, and General Manager of the Project Development Unit, Plant Project Division. He also worked in Houston Branch, Mitsubishi International Corporation, in 1997 and other various positions in Mitsubishi since April 1981.

Jose Cuisia

Mr. Jose L. Cuisia, Jr., serves as Independent Director of Manila Water Company Inc since April 12, 2010. Mr. Cuisia graduated from De La Salle University with AB-BSC degrees (Magna Cum Laude) and earned an MBA degree from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in 1970 as a University Scholar. He is presently the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United States of America and Vice Chairman of the Philippine American Life and General Insurance Company. At present, he also serves as Chairman of The Covenant Car Company, Inc.; Vice Chairman of SM Prime Holdings; Director of BPI-Philam Life Assurance Co., Holcim Philippines, Inc., PHINMA Corporation, ICCP Holdings and Beacon Property Ventures. Before becoming Philam Life’s President and CEO for 16 years, Mr. Cuisia served the Philippine Government as Governor of the Central Bank of the Philippines and Chairman of its Monetary Board from 1990 to 1993. He was also appointed Commissioner, representative of the Employer’s Group, for the Social Security System (SSS) last September 2010, but had resigned last December 2010. Mr. Cuisia was also Governor for the Philippines to the International Monetary Fund and Alternate Governor to the World Bank. Prior to service in the Central Bank, he was Administrator and CEO of the Philippine Social Security System from 1986 to 1990.

Sherisa Nuesa

Ms. Sherisa P. Nuesa serves as Independent Director of Manila Water Co Inc since April 4, 2014. She served as Chief Finance Officer and Treasurer until January 1, 2009. Ms. Nuesa has served in various capacities in Ayala Corporation and its real estate subsidiary, Ayala Land, Inc., for over 20 years. She was a member of the Ayala Land Management Committee from 1988 to 1999. She served as Ayala Land Vice President and Group Comptroller from 1988 to 1996, and then moved on as Group Head for Commercial Centers, from 1996 to 1999. During this period, she was concurrently President of Ayala Theaters Management Inc. and served as a member of the Boards of Directors of several ALI subsidiaries, among them Cebu Holdings, Makati Development Corporation, Alabang Commercial Corporation and Ayala Hotels, Inc. She was also the National Director for the Philippines in the International Council for Shopping Centers from 1997 to March 1999. Ms. Nuesa attended the Advanced Management Program of the Harvard Business School in the US in June 1999, and earned MBA academic units from the Ateneo Graduate School in Manila, Ateneo de Manila University. She also attended the Financial Management Program of the Stanford University in 1991. A Certified Public Accountant, she holds a degree in Bachelor of Science in Commerce (Summa cum Laude, 1974) from the Far Eastern University.

Mr. Oscar S. Reyes serves as Independent Director of Manila Water Company Inc since February 3, 2005. He finished his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics (Cum Laude, 1965) and Masters of Business Administration (1971) at the Ateneo de Manila University. He also took post-graduate studies in Waterloo University and Harvard Business School, Harvard University, among other schools abroad.
