Name Description

Denis Hasdenteufel

Mr. Denis Hasdenteufel is Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of the Company. He served as Non-Executive Director of the Company between 2000 and 2012. He represents Air France on the Board of the Company. He attended Master of Commerce High School in Paris. He has held positions in Air France, ranging from General Manager at Charles de Gaulle Airport to his present position as International Purchasing Vice President. He also represents Air France on the Boards of CIAS (Singapore), AIDA (Mauritius) and AFSL (Great Britain).

Norbert Bielderman

Mr. Norbert Bielderman has served as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Executive Director of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc since April 2015. He served as Acting Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Executive Director of the Company between October 23, 2014 and April 2015. He served as Chief Operating Officer, Executive Director of the Company between December 9, 2013 and October 23, 2014. He started his work career as a Sales Representative at Taselaar (Curacao) Inc. Bamidele Adelaja

Mr. Bamidele Ademola Adelaja serves as Acting Chief Finance Officer of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc. Bamidele Adelaja is a Management Accounting expert, with experience spanning about 25 years. Having started with KPMG Audit Lagos (Now Akintola Williams Delloitte & Co) in 1991, he was seconded to KPMG Audit in Paris, France, for a three months training/staff exchange program in 1995. He was appointed the Training Manager in KPMG Audit Lagos Training School after his return from KPMG Audit in Paris, France. He held this position till 1997. He moved on to become Head, Finance & Admin of Premium Securities Ltd (Now under FBN Capital Ltd.) in 1997. Then, Senior Manager, Operations, Gulf Bank of Nigeria Plc (Now merged with UBA Plc) between 1999 and 2005. During this period, he was involved in periodic training of the Bank’s heads of operations. Adelaja left banking in 2005 to set up his private accounting and consultancy practice. He travelled, in 2007, to Canada where he worked with the firm of Ensminger Beck & Thompson (Chartered Accountants) in Alberta, Canada, thereby furthering his exposure to international practice in accounting and management. A graduate of the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife and an alumni of The Senior Management Program of Pan African University (formerly Lagos Business School), the new Acting CFO is a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN).

Hassan Yahaya

Mr. Hassan Yahaya serves as Chief Operating Officer of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc. Mr. Hassan Yahaya, The Chief Operating Officer joined the then NAHCO Ltd in April 1992 as a Customer Services Officer and rose through the ranks to become Station Manager, Kano, Abuja and Lagos at different times. He became Regional Business Manager in 2010 and three times Cargo Services Manager before his recent elevation as Chief Operating Officer. He has spent a total of 22 years traversing the different sectors of the organization. He is an astute manager of material and human resources. Hassan has a degree in social studies, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management and a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology. He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management.

Anthony Iyayi

Mr. Anthony Eromonsele Iyayi has served as Head Internal Audit & Compliance of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc since 2015. Mr. Anthony Eromonsele Iyayi graduated from the prestigious University of Benin, Edo State, in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. He proceeded further in the year 2000 to the University of Lagos for his MBA. Before joining the Company in year 2012, he worked with Akintola Williams Deloitte (Chartered Accountants), various banks and other organizations where he held positions such as Head of Operations, Group Head, Internal Control, as well as Chief Finance Officer. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN).

Folashade Ode

Mrs. Folashade O. Ode serves as Executive Director, Company Secretary, Corporate & Legal Services, Investor Relations Contact of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc. She received an LLB degree from the Lagos State University in 1990. She has been a Barrister at Law since 1991, and received a Masters of Business Administration degree in International Business in 2005. Before joining the Company in 2005, she worked with Bullion Nominees Ltd and Lasaco Assurance PLC. She joined the Board of the Company on March 22, 2016 as Executive Director, Corporate, Legal Services and Company Secretary. Before assuming this role; she was Company Secretary/General Counsel of the Company. She joined the Company in 2005 as the Manager Legal Services.

Oluseyi Adewale

Mr. Oluseyi (Seyi) Adewale serves as Chief Commercial Officer of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc. Oluseyi Adewale is a holder of Master’s degree in Industrial & Labor Relations (MILR) from the prestigious University of Ibadan and Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree from University of Ilorin. He is a member of several professional bodies, including the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPMN), Nigerian Institute of Training & Development (NITAD) and Association of Pension Funds of Nigeria (APFN). Until his recent appointment as Chief Commercial Officer, Seyi managed the company's IATA Authorized Training Centre (IATA ATC) armed with experience spanning over 20 years as Regional Sales Director-SilkWeb Consulting & Development, HR Manager-Eleganza Cooler Household Industries Limited, Manager Investment & Life-Fortune Assurance Co. Ltd and Head, People & Organizational Development-HCDC Limited. He has contributed immensely to the growth and development of nahco aviance which he joined in 2012 as Manager, Learning and Development Center. Seyi was instrumental to the achievement of BA Insignia Silver-Status Certification, IATA ATC Certification, Regulated Agent 3 Certification, ITF's Best in Human Capital Development Award and Council Membership Status of AATO. He is IATA SGHA, SLA, Train-the-Trainers and Station Management Certified. He also has certification in Oracle HRMS, Business Intelligence and Business Analysis. 

Maurice Maduemesi

Mr. Maurice Uche Maduemesi has served as Corporate Governance and Stakeholder Relations Manager of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc since March 2011. He joined the Company in March 2011. Before then, he was News Editor/Reporter with the Anambra Broadcasting Service, Radio TV, Enugu, from where he moved on to become the Public Relations Manager, Blue Bell Telecommunications Limited, Lagos. He was also the Assistant Editor, Tell Magazine, Lagos; Publisher/Editor-in-Chief, Republican Newspaper, Enugu; and Associate Editor (News), New Sentinel Newspaper, Abuja.  Maduemesi also served as Deputy Editor, Crimes and Investigations, Fresh Facts Newspaper, Abuja and Head, Abuja Bureau, The Week Magazine, Lagos. Also a lawyer, Maduemesi worked as an Associate Solicitor with Ayi & Associates, Abuja and later, Legal Advisor, Advocacy and Legal Advice Center, Transparency in Nigeria. With 20 years experience in Journalism, Public Relations and Law, Maduemesi is armed with various qualifications, including a B.L, LL.B, (Law) M.Sc (Public Relations), PGD (Marketing) and HND (Mass communications).

Kelechi Amaeshi

Mr. Kelechi Amaeshi serves as Manager, Africa / Special Projects of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc. He is a focused and objective-driven enterprise development facilitator with keen interest in change management, strategy articulation & execution, business process management and business-to-business communication. He has gained over 18 years useful experience cutting across development and business sectors in Nigeria, including aviation, consulting and development. Having joined the Company in 2007 as Personal Assistant to the CEO, he has traversed key sections of the Company business including operations, marketing, relationship management, projects and product development. In several instances, he has been deployed as task master to address key and specific nahco aviance enterprise challenges with proven and outstanding results. Until his appointment as Head Africa Expansion & Special Projects, he managed the Company’s relationship with client airlines from Europe & America, Business Manager for Abuja, MMA2, & Port Harcourt Stations, respectively.  He was also Manager, Business Development & Communication as well as Crew Transport Manager. Apart from being instrumental to the execution of the Company’s rebranding project, he also pioneered the change program which has transformed PHC station and Crew Transportation Unit into Model Station and Unit, respectively. He is an alumnus of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (Econometrics), the German Technical Commission (GTZ) (CEFE-certified consultant), West African Institute for Finance & Economic Management – WAIFEM - (grooming small enterprise & micro finance), etc and numerous industry certifications in IATA Ground Station Management, Leadership, etc. A Business & Management Planner, he is also a Certified Institute Member of the Institute of Planners Nigeria (IPN).

Ahmed Gulma

Mr. Ahmed Gulma serves as Head Corporate Services of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc. Mr. Ahmed Gulma attended Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto where he obtained his first degree in Management in 1988 and Master of Business Administration in 1999. He is a fellow of Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), member, Institute of Chartered Public Accountants of Nigeria and member, Institute of Internal Auditors of Nigeria. He started his career with the Sokoto State Government in 1989 as a Budget Analyst. He was transferred to Drug Revolving Fund of the State in 1990 as a State Accountant. He joined Peoples Bank as a Manager, Argungu Branch in 1991. He later transferred his service to International Trust Bank Limited where he rose from Head, Cash and Teller to Head of Compliance Unit. He was also the Group Head, Internal Control, North for Finbank Plc. He later became Business Development Manager in Afribank. Mr. Gulma has attended many training programs. He joined nahco aviance in September 2011 as Head, Internal Audit. He is currently Head Corporate Services

Maarten Klijnstra

Mr. Maarten Klijnstra serves as Cargo Services Manager of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc. Mr. Maarten Klijnstra is a seasoned aviation professional with several years of cognate experience, specializing in airline cargo operation and sales, air cargo charters and airline cargo market operations amongst others. He joined the Company in 2015 and he is currently the Cargo Services Manager.

Baba Yusuf

Mr. Baba Yusuf serves as Regional Manager, Northern Operations of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc. Mr. Baba Yusuf joined the Company in June 2010 as Information Communications Technology Manager (ICT). He is a graduate of Computer Science from the University of Kent, where he bagged a Masters degree. He also holds a Higher Diploma in Computer Science and an Executive MBA from INSEAD University, France. Baba is a member of various professional bodies, including: Institute of Data Processing Management, England, UK, Fellow, National Institute of Data Processing, London, UK, Fellow, Institute of Analyst & Programmer, UK, Fellow, British Computer Society. He also has certifications in Geographic Information System & Remote sensing.

Ikechukwu Nwachukwu

Mr. Ikechukwu (Ike) Nwachukwu has served as Non-Executive Director of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc since July 11, 2012. Mr. Ikechukwu Nwachukwu attended the Nigerian Military School, Zaria, Nigeria and St. Augustine's College, Westgate, Kent, England for his Secondary School; Brighton College, Brighton, England, for his A-Level and Ithaca College, Ithaca, New York, USA for his B.Sc. in Finance. Ike Nwachukwu started his career with All Tech Investment Group, Montvale (New Jersey, USA) in 1995 as a trader. He later served as an Associate, Manhattan Planning Group, New York, USA. He was Managing Director, Santon Energy LLC, New York, USA; Principal, Quosol LLC, New York, USA; Managing Director of Assured Risks Limited, Lagos. He is also principal Occrient Limited Lagos. Mr. Nwachukwu has his competencies in project management, financial analysis, strategy and planning as well as deal structuring. He was Member of the Finance, Strategy and Innovation Committee, and Member of the Technical and Operations Committee of the Company until March 25, 2014. He has served as Vice Chairman of the Finance, Strategy and Operations Committee, and Member of the Risk and Investment Committee of the Company since March 25, 2014.

Christopher Oshiafi

Mr. Christopher (Chris) Oshiafi has served as Non-Executive Director of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc since July 11, 2012. Mr. Chris Oshiafi attended the University of London, United Kingdom, where he graduated with second class honors degree (upper Division) in Accounting and Finance. He also obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from University of Lagos, Nigeria. He has worked as a Group Treasurer of The Lion of Africa Insurance Company, then a subsidiary of the Guardian Royal Exchange, United Kingdom, from where he joined Goldpath Finance and Securities Limited, as Chief Operating Officer. He was Managing Director/CEO of Truebond Private Equity Limited in 2000, the position he held till 2005 when he was appointed as the Executive Director (Investment Banking) in the defunct Citizens International Bank Plc (now Enterprise Bank Limited). He is currently the Managing Director/CEO, PanAfrican Capital Plc, a leading investment Bank in Africa. He is a Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA); an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London, (ACII) UK, the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (ACIT). He has attended several courses in Finance, Management and Leadership, of the prestigious Columbia Business School, New York, United States and Insead Business School, Fontainebleau, France, The IESE Business School in Barcelona Spain and the Chief Executive Program (CEP 17) class of the Lagos Business School. He was Member of the Finance, Strategy and Innovation Committee, and Chairman of the Governance, Remuneration and Establishment Committee of the Company until March 25, 2014. He has been Chairman of the Finance, Strategy and Operations Committee, and Member of the Governance, Compliance and Establishment Committee of the Company since March 25, 2014.

David Thomas

Mr. David Thomas has served as Non-Executive Director of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc since December 6, 2012. He obtained a Diploma in Technology, Hotel Management & Food Services in 1979. He also has qualifications in Wage & Salary Negotiations, Labor Relations as well as SAIT- Journeyman-ship Papers and Red Seal Cook-1989. He has held several managerial positions and served on the boards of many companies. He was appointed Director of Operations, West Africa for Lufthansa in April, 2012. David Thomas joined the Board as a Director representing Lufthansa German Airline on December 6, 2012. He was Member of the Governance, Remuneration and Establishment Committee of the Company until March 25, 2014. He has served as Chairman of the Governance, Compliance and Establishment Committee, and Vice Chairman of the Risk and Investment Committee of the Company since March 25, 2014. He is also Member of the Finance, Strategy and Operations Committee of the Company.

Faruk Umar

Dr. Faruk Umar has served as Non-Executive Director of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc since June 22, 2011. He received a Bachelors degree in Education Psychology from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1976, a Masters degree in Education Psychology from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1979, and a Doctorate in Philosophy degree from the University of Wisconsin, the United States, in 1987. He started his working carrier at the School of Preliminary Studies, Kano as a Lecturer in 1977. Between 1983 and 1984, he served as the Permanent Secretary, Special Duties, Kano State Government and later worked as Manager, Research and Educational Services, Kano State Foundation from 1988 to 1991. He was on the Boards of Ashaka Cement Plc, Union Homes Savings and Loans Plc and 1004 Estates Limited. He currently serves on the Boards of Cement Company of Northern Nigeria, American Hospital Ltd and Board of Governors, Pearl Award. He is the National President of Rumfa Old Boys Association and Association for the Advancement of the Rights of Nigerian Shareholders (AARNS). He served as Member of the Finance, Strategy and Innovation Committee of the Company until March 25, 2014. He serves as Member of the Audit Committee of the Company. He has also served as Member of the Finance, Strategy and Operations Committee, and Vice Chairman of the Governance, Compliance and Establishment Committee of the Company since March 25, 2014.

Ahmed Uwais

Mr. Ahmed Tijjani Uwais has served as Non-Executive Director of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc since May 24, 2013. He received an LLB degree from the University of Ibadan in 1994, and obtained his BL Certificate from the Nigerian Law School, Lagos in 1995. He started his legal career as a Senior Counsel with Abdullahi Ibrahim & Company from 1995 to 1998, and between 1998 and 2003, he worked with Wali, Uwais & Co, Abuja as Managing Partner. He is a member of various professional bodies including the Nigerian Bar Association, International Bar Association, Capital Market Solicitors and an Associate, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Nigeria). He is also a Co-Editor of the Nigerian Monthly Law Reports and has been nominated to the Board of Directors to represent Sycor Private Investment Limited. He serves as Member of the Audit Committee of the Company. He was Member of the Governance, Remuneration and Establishment Committee, and Member of the Technical and Operations Committee of the Company until March 25, 2014. He has served as Member of the Governance, Compliance and Establishment Committee, and Member of the Risk and Investment Committee of the Company since March 25, 2014.

Hadiza Mohammed

Ms. Hadiza Aliko Mohammed has served as Non-Executive Independent Director of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc since July 11, 2013. She is Chartered Insurer, and received an ordinary national diploma in Business Administration from the Padworth College of the University of Reading, in the United Kingdom in 1986 and, in 1989, she obtained her diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. In 1989, she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Studies and Sociology from the Roehampton Institute of the International Academy of Science and Higher Education (IASHE, London, UK) and, in 1991, she became an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Insurance (ACII) from the Chartered Institute of Insurance, Kent, the United Kingdom. She got her post graduate diploma in Islamic Banking and Insurance from the Institute of Islamic Banking and Insurance, London, the United Kingdom in 2007 and, in 2011, she obtained her Masters degree in Islamic Banking, Finance and Management from the University of Gloucestershire. She started her working career with the Continental Merchant Bank where she did her Youth Service between 1989 and 1990. Between 1991 and 1992, she became a Management Trainee with Nelson Hurst International Insurance Brokers, London. She joined Industrial and General Insurance Company Ltd, (IGI) Lagos Nigeria, as Manager for Medical Expenses Insurance and served there between 1992 and 1995, and later became an Executive Director for Finance and Administration between 1996 and 2002. She is presently the Managing Director, Turners Building Products Limited, a position she held since 2002. She was Member of the Finance, Strategy and Innovation Committee, and Member of the Technical and Operations Committee of the Company until March 25, 2014. She has been Member of the Governance, Compliance and Establishment Committee, and Chairman Risk and Investment Committee of the Company since March 25, 2014.
