Miller, Merrill Mr. Merrill A. Miller Jr. has been a Director of National Oilwell Varco Inc., since May 2001 and Chairman of the Board since July 22, 2005. He also served as Chairman of the Board from May 2002 through March 11, 2005. He served as the Company’s Chief Operating Officer from November 2000 through March 11, 2005. He has served as President since November 2000 and as Chief Executive Officer since May 2001. He has served in various senior executive positions with National Oilwell since February 1996. Mr. Miller also serves as a director of Chesapeake Energy Corporation, a company engaged in the development, acquisition, production, exploration, and marketing of onshore oil and natural gas properties in the United States.
Williams, Clay Mr. Williams serves as Executive Vice President of National-Oilwell Varco Inc since February 2009, and as the Company’s Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since March 2005. He served as Varco’s Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from January 2003 until its merger with the Company on March 11, 2005. From May 2002 until January 2003, Mr. Williams served as Varco’s Vice President Finance and Corporate Development. Mattson, Eric Mr. Eric L. Mattson has been a Director of National Oilwell Varco Inc., since March 2005. Smisek, Jeffery Mr. Jeffery A. Smisek has been a Director of National Oilwell Varco Inc., since March 2005. Mr. Smisek served as a Director of Varco (and its predecessor, Tuboscope Inc.) from February 1998 until its merger with the Company on March 11, 2005.
