Guido Mantega |
Mr. Guido Mantega has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petroleo Brasileiro Petrobras SA since March 19, 2010. Prior to that, he served as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Company since April 3, 2006, as Representative of the Controlling Shareholder. He was Member of the Workers’ Party’s (PT) Economic Program Coordination for the 1984, 1989, 1998 and 2002 presidential elections, and has been Brazil ex-President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva's Economic Advisor since 1993. He has published articles in magazines such as Revista de Economia Politica, Estudos CEBRAP, and Teoria em Debate. He was Minister of Planning, Budget, and Management until November 18, 2004, when he became President of the Development Bank (BNDES). On March 28, 2006, he took over the position of Minister of the Treasury and, on April 3, 2006, he was elected Member of the Board of Directors of the Company and Petrobras Distribuidora SA. He was Professor of Economics at Fundacao Getulio Vargas (FGV)’s School of Business Administration, hired in 1981. He graduated from Universidade de Sao Paulo (USP) with a Doctorate in Philosophy degree in Sociology in 1977 and from Universidade de Sao Paulo (USP) with a degree in Economics in 1971. |

Ms. Maria das Gracas Silva Foster has served as Chief Executive Officer, a Member of the Executive Board, and a Member of the Board of Directors of Petroleo Brasileiro Petrobras SA since February 13, 2012. Prior to that, she acted as Gas and Energy Officer and a Member of the Executive Board of the Company from September 21, 2007. She has served as President of Petrobras Distribuidora SA since May 2006. In September 2005, she took over as President of Petroquisa, a position she accumulated with that of Director for Investor Relations. Simultaneously, she was also Executive Manager for Petrochemicals and Fertilizers. From January 2003 to May 2006, she was the Mines and Energy Ministry’s Secretary for Oil, Natural Gas, and Renewable Fuels. Before that, she had already held managerial positions at the Gas and Energy Business Unit and at the Leopoldo Miguez de Mello Research and Development Center, in addition to at the Transportadora Brasileira do Gasoduto Bolivia-Brasil. She is President of the Board of Directors of Liquigas Distribuidora SA, Vice President of the Board of Directors of Companhia Brasileira de Petroleo Ipiranga, and Member of the Board of Directors of Instituto Brasileiro de Petroleo, Gas e Biocombustiveis. In April 2007, she was decorated with the Foreign Relations Ministry’s Rio Branco Order’s title of Commendator. Almir Guilherme Barbassa |
Mr. Almir Guilherme Barbassa has served as Chief Financial Officer, Investor Relations Officer, and a Member of the Executive Board of Petroleo Brasileiro Petrobras SA since July 22, 2005. Previously, he had been Executive Manager for Corporate Finances and a Member of the Executive Board as from July 12, 1999. He joined the Company in 1974. Through 1989, he held several positions in the financial and planning areas, both in Brazil and abroad. Mr. Francisco Roberto de Albuquerque has served as a Member of the Board of Directors of Petroleo Brasileiro Petrobras SA since April 2, 2007. He is Controlling Shareholder's Representative. He was Deputy Secretary for Army General Leonidas Pires Goncalves. In the Army Minister’s cabinet, he held the positions of Head of the Third Advisory and Deputy Head of the Cabinet. He was Head of the Brazilian Army Commission and Adjunct Military Attache in Washington, Army Staff Cabinet Head, and Coordinator of the Military Observer Mission in the Ecuador/Peru conflict Peace Process, Army Staff Deputy Head and General Secretary for the Army, among others. Luciano Galvao Coutinho |
Dr. Luciano Galvao Coutinho has served as a Member of the Board of Directors of Petroleo Brasileiro Petrobras SA since April 4, 2008. He is Representative of the Controller. In 1994, he coordinated the Study on the Brazilian Industry's Competitiveness. From 1985 to 1988, he was Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology, were he helped structure the Ministry and conceive policies aimed at areas such as biotechnology, information technology, chemistry, precision mechanics, and new materials. He was Visiting Professor at the Universities of Sao Paulo, of Paris XIII, of Texas, and at the Ortega y Gasset Institute, in addition to being full Professor at Unicamp.
