Ronald Shaich |
Mr. Ronald M. Shaich has been appointed as Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer of Panera Bread Co., effective August 1, 2013. Previously he served as Executive Chairman of the Board, Co-Chief Executive Officer of the Company since May 13, 2010. He is the founder of the company and has served as a member of the Board since March 1981. Mr. Shaich has led the Board since 1988, serving as Chairman since May 1999 and Co-Chairman from January 1988 until May 1999. Mr. Shaich has served as the Co-Chief Executive Officer since March 2012, and he previously served as the Chief Executive Officer from May 1994 until May 2010 and the Co-Chief Executive Officer from January 1988 until May 1994. Mr. Shaich serves as a director of the non-profit Lown Cardiovascular Research Foundation and as a trustee of the non-profit Rashi School. |

Mr. William W. Moreton has been appointed as Executive Vice Chairman of the Board of Panera Bread Co., effective August 1, 2013 Previously he served as the President and Co-Chief Executive Officer since March 2012 and a member of the Board since May 2010.
