Name Description
Patni, Narendra Mr. Narendra K. Patni is Chairman of the Board and one of the founders of Patni Computer Systems Limited. Mr. Patni has a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, or MIT, and a Master’s degree in Management from the Sloan School of Management at MIT. He also has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT, Roorkee. As an entrepreneur, he has played an integral role in the development of the Indian IT industry through his various ventures. Mr. Patni was instrumental in initiating the offshore outsourcing business model for the software industry. Prior to founding his first company, Data Conversion Inc. (now the U.S. subsidiary Patni Computer Systems, Inc.) in 1972, he was President and Director of the Forrester Consulting Group and was previously with the U.S. Trust Company of New York and was a consultant to Arthur D. Little, Inc.
Kumar, Jeya Jeya Kumar is Chief Executive Officer of Patni Computer Systems Limited. Jeya has more than 25 years of global IT experience, most recently as CEO of Mphasis – an IT solutions, services and BPO provider with over 28,000 employees. Prior to Mphasis, Jeya was a Senior Vice-President with Sun Microsystems, heading its US$ 5.2 billion services business, and also a member of their Executive Management Group.
Singh, Surjeet Mr. Surjeet Singh is Patni Computer Systems Limited's Chief Financial Officer and Chief of Operations (CFOO), with responsibility for Finance and Global Operations. As CFO, he is responsible for overall financial management of the company including financial reporting, internal controls, treasury, tax management and compliances on a global basis. As Chief of Operations, Mr. Singh oversees internal systems, talent acquisition and supply chain operations besides global infrastructure. Before his appointment as CFO of Patni in 2006, Mr. Singh headed Mergers & Acquisitions at Patni and prior to this he was the CFO at Cymbal Corporation – a services company focused on Communications Service Providers, which he co-founded and was acquired by Patni in late 2004. In all, Mr. Singh has around two decades of multi-industry global experience holding senior management positions in guiding finance, business planning and global supply chain functions. He has a successful track record of building finance as a key business enabler, and fostering collaboration in large and mid-sized culturally diverse, global and matrixed organizations. Mr. Singh holds a B.S in Finance and Accounting from the University of Pune and is a fellow of the Institute of Costs and Works Accountants, India; in addition to being a certified public accountant from AICPA, USA.
Khare, Vijay Mr. Vijay P. Khare is an Executive Vice-President, Chief Delivery Officer & Chief Administrative Officer and Global Head of Delivery Excellence of Patni Computer Systems Limited, with responsibility for Global Delivery Infrastructure, Process, Excellence and Innovation. In this role, he oversees the Product & Technology Initiatives (PTI), Global Resources in Technology (GRiT), Patni Academy for Competency Development (PACE), Quality and Delivery Innovation (QDI) and the Global PMO group. Mr. Khare began his career with Patni in 1980 as a software developer and has previously held senior positions in various functional roles such as HR Head, Global Delivery Co-ordinator and SBU Head. From 1995 to 2000, he oversaw the growth of the Offshore Development Center for Patni’s largest customer to more than 1000 FTEs. Mr. Khare has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the Regional Engineering College, Nagpur and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from IIT, Mumbai.
Joshi, Satish Mr. Satish M. Joshi is an Executive Vice-President and Global Head - Horizontal Solutions and Delivery, besides being Patni’s Global Technology Head. As Global Head of Horizontal Solutions and Delivery, he oversees the Enterprise Application Solutions, Customer Dynamics and Intelligence, Business Process Outsourcing, and Infrastructure Management Services horizontal business units, besides the Verification & Validation Center of Excellence. Mr. Joshi has been with the company since 1983. Prior to Patni, Mr. Joshi worked with the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research in areas such as concurrent programming languages, storage techniques for large databases, compiler optimization and data communication networks. Mr. Joshi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from IIT, Mumbai.
Yadav, Ajit Mr. Ajit Yadav is an Executive Vice-President & General Counsel of Patni Computer Systems Limited with responsibilities for handling legal and compliance issues for all businesses of Patni on a global basis. Mr. Yadav carries with him varied and vast experience in the areas of Corporate Laws, M&A, indirect taxes and IPRs, having worked in senior positions at Hindustan Lever Ltd. (Unilever, India) for many years, followed by Ranbaxy Labs Ltd. for five years where he supported Ranbaxy’s aggressively growing international business for all legal services with specific focus on M&A, IPRs and Corporate Governance issues. Prior to Patni, Mr. Yadav had worked for six years with PepsiCo, South Asia as Executive Director (Legal) and a member of its Management Committee. Mr. Yadav has thus held senior leadership positions in large businesses and has helped companies drive their businesses using law as an enabler for providing efficient business solutions. Mr. Yadav is an Indian Attorney, Company Secretary and a Solicitor of England & Wales. He started his professional career by joining the Government of India through IAS (Allied) services and worked for the Government for sometime before moving to the private sector.
Stones, Brian Mr. Brian Stones is Executive Vice President and Regional Head, EMEA of Patni Computer Systems Limited, with responsibilities for Patni’s operations in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Mr. Stones has over 28 years international business experience and has held leadership positions in organisations in the United States and Europe. Prior to joining Patni, Mr. Stones was responsible for ACS Inc’s business operation in Europe, and was formerly a Senior Partner at Ernst & Young, most notably as the Leader of the Global Client Consulting business in Europe. Mr. Stones has a very successful track record in direct and indirect sales, global account management and general business management in IT services, consulting and outsourcing. Mr. Stones has honours degrees in Economics and Business Science.
Padmanabhan, Rajesh Mr. Rajesh Padmanabhan is Executive Vice President, Global Head - Human Resources of Patni Computer Systems Limited with the responsibility of spearheading Patni’s human capital initiatives globally including the strategic direction and focus for employee management. Mr. Padmanabhan has over 22 years of diverse industry experience in systems, finance, business and global human resources in IT, hospitality, financial services and manufacturing. He is well-versed with global HR operations and has managed multi-cultural work forces in a few countries. Prior to joining Patni, Mr. Padmanabhan was Executive Vice-President with the Oberoi group responsible for group human resources and the Oberoi Centre for learning and development. He has also worked as Global Head of Human Capital for Essel Propack and with the ICICI group in different roles in systems, corporate banking, leasing and human resources. With his master’s degrees in management specializing in human resources and finance, he brings a fine mix of business and human resources background, which is critical and strategic in maximizing human capital output.
Chamania, Ajay Mr. Ajay Chamania is Executive Vice-President and Global Head of the Product Engineering Services of Patni Computer Systems Limited. Mr. Chamania has a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Telecommunication from National Institute of Technology, Bhopal, India. Mr. Chamania began his career with Patni in 1986 and at Patni is responsible for the organization’s footprint in Product Engineering practices catering to Storage, Automotives, Medical Devices, Industrial Automation, Consumer Electronics and ISV product domains. Over the last two decades he has been instrumental in establishing and managing some large engineering engagements for global technology companies. Since 2001, he has been actively involved in Patni’s R&D and embedded technology business and has played an instrumental role in building and transforming it into a robust and successful Product Engineering Services business unit for the Company.

He is responsible for ‘Industry Solutions & Delivery’ to Patni’s customers in various domains including High-Tech & Electronics; CPG & Retail; Distribution; Transportation & Logistics; Pharmaceuticals & Life Sciences; Communications, Media & Utilities. Mehra, Vijay Mr. Vijay Mehra has been appointed as Executive Vice President and Head of Business Verticals for Patni Computer Systems Limited on September 30, 2009. He was until recently, Global CIO at Essar Group of Companies and comes with over 20 years of gLobal management and consulting experience. He is an eminent speaker at global and regional conferences and has recently been awarded ‘Best CIG, Large Corporate’ (by 9.9 Media, a corporation co-founded by an ex McKinsey partner and founding dean of the (SB). He holds an MBA and a Masters in Systems Engineering from MIT and a Bachelors of Science (Operations Research and Industrial Engineering) and a Bachelors of Arts (Economics) from Cornell University.

Anil brings with him diverse experience of over 28 years, with a strong emphasis towards driving business efficiencies using Six Sigma methodologies, change managemert and focus on customer satisfaction. Patni, Anirudh Mr. Anirudh Patni is a Senior Vice-President at Patni Computer Systems Limited, responsible for Strategy & Corporate Development. He has been intimately involved in the growth and development of the company, including its private equity placements, IPO, and M&A transactions. His current responsibilities include defining overall corporate strategy and working with business units to define and execute strategic initiatives, both organic and inorganic. He has over 10 years of leadership experience, and his background includes strategy consulting, private equity and M&A. Prior to joining Patni, Mr. Patni was a consultant at McKinsey and Company in New York, London and New Delhi. Patni, Gajendra Mr. Gajendra Kumar Patni is Non-Executive Director of Patni Computer Systems Limited. Mr. Patni has a Chemical Engineering background and has over 35 years of experience in finance, banking, legal and personnel functions. He has contributed significantly in the past to the growth of the computer rental business of the company, which led to the formation of PCS Data Products (PCSDP) in 1981, and PCS Data General (PCSDG) in 1987. These companies were merged to form what is now PCS Technology Limited in 1994. Mr. Patni is a Joint Managing Director of PCS Technology Limited. Previously he was the Managing Director of Industrial Oxygen Company Limited.
Patni, Ashok Mr. Ashok K. Patni is Non-Executive Director of Patni Computer Systems Limited. Mr. Patni is a Mechanical Engineer from IIT, Mumbai. Mr. Patni has over 22 years of experience in computer hardware and systems software. Mr. Patni has contributed significantly in the past to the growth of the hardware business of the company which led to the formation of PCSDP in 1981, and PCSDG in 1987. These companies were merged to form what is now PCS Technology Limited in 1994. He is a Joint Managing Director of PCS Technology Limited.
Grabe, William Mr. William O. Grabe has been a Non-Executive Director of Patni Computer Systems Limited since September, 2002. Mr. Grabe has a BS degree in Engineering from New York University and an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles. Since 1992, Mr. Grabe has been a managing director at General Atlantic LLC, a worldwide private equity firm. Prior to that, he was a Vice President of IBM and held various positions, the last of which was head, North America Sales and Marketing. He is a director of various companies in which General Atlantic has investments, including Ai Metrix, Bottomline Technologies, Digital China Holdings, Lifecare and LHS GmbH, and is also a director of Compuware Corporation and Gartner, Inc.
Van Den Boog, Louis Mr. Louis Theodoor Van Den Boog is Non-Executive Director of Patni Computer Systems Limited. He has been a Director of Patni Computer Systems since March, 2005. He was appointed as Executive Director in March 2008. He is responsible for Patni’s Global solutions and delivery. Mr. Van den Boog has a Master’s degree in Business Economics and in Public Accounting from the Free University in Amsterdam. Mr. Van den Boog is an IT industry veteran with approximately 20 years experience in the software industry, as well as extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, public offerings and private equity and venture capital fundings. Bhandari, Vimal Mr. Vimal Bhandari has been appointed as Independent Director of Patni Computer Systems Ltd. Mr. Bhandari is a proficient and a proven top management professional with 25 years experience in a range of businesses in the financial services industry. He is currently the Country Head of AEGON N.Y., the large Dutch financial services player. Prior to joining AEGON in mid-2004, Mr. Uhandari spent 17 years with IL&FS Ltd. of which 12 years were spent as the Executive Director on the Board of Directors of the company, being directly responsible for its financial services business. Additionally, he functioned as Non-Executive Director on IL&FS Group entities in the businesses of stock broking, private equity, infrastructure project development, and heatthcare management services and as Director-In-Charge for the asset management and merchant banking subsidiaries. Mr. Vimal Bhandari is a member of the Listing Committee and the Executive Committee of the NSE; a member of The National Council on Corporate Governance of Gil and a member of the Executive Committee of FICCI. Cusumano, Michael Dr. Michael A. Cusumano has been an Independent Non-Executive Director of Patni Computer Systems Limited since April, 2004. Dr. Cusumano has a B.A. degree from Princeton University and a PhD from Harvard University. Dr. Cusumano completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Production and Operations Management at the Harvard Business School. Dr. Cusumano is the Sloan Management Review Distinguished Professor at MIT’s Sloan School of Management. He has published eight books and is a director of Coral Networks.
