Name Description

Richard Fifer

Mr. Richard Fifer is Executive Chairman of the Board of Petaquilla Minerals Ltd. He is a U.S.-trained geologist. He has served on the Company’s Board of Directors from March 1993 to November 1998, July 2002 to July 2003, and from November 12, 2003, to the present and is currently the Company’s Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors. In addition, he served as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer from December 14, 2004, to March 23, 2005, and from April 14, 2007, to September 15, 2009. From September 15, 2009, he has been President and CEO of Azuero Mining Development, S.A. During the period May 2006 to September 2008, he served as director and Chief Executive Officer of Petaquilla Copper Ltd. In 1992, he founded Grupo Geo, S.A. and from 1992 to 2006, he was President of the Grupo Geo subsidiary of Geo Info, S.A., a Panamanian company that provides geographic mapping technology and solutions. Under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Panama, he was the President's Plenipotentiary Ambassador for Special Missions of the Republic of Panama from March 2002 to September 2003. He was also Governor of the Province of Cocle, Panama, and National Security Advisor of the Republic of Panama from September 1999 to January 2002. He was President of the Panamanian Mining Development Corporation from January 1997 to January 1999. Mr. Fifer holds a B.Sc. in both Geology and Geophysical Engineering and an M.A. in Finance.

Rodrigo Esquivel

Mr. Rodrigo Esquivel is President of Petaquilla Minerals Ltd. Mr. Esquivel is a lawyer with over 20 years of professional practice in Panama. He is a partner in and founder of Esquivel, Fernandez & Associates. Formerly he held such positions as Executive Vice President of Exploraciones Geotecnologicas, S.A., Director and General Manager of Forestal Nacional, S.A., Advisor to the Panamanian Ministry of Finance and Treasury, Deputy Director General of Income Tax (IRS), Director of the Fiscal Lottery, Legal Adviser of the Ministry of Health, Vice Minister of Health, Deputy Director of Social Security and Executive Director of the Water Supply Institute.

Joao Manuel

Mr. Joao Da Costa Manuel is Chief Executive Officer of Petaquilla Minerals Ltd. Before joining the company, Mr. Manuel held the position of Chief Financial Officer of Copper, which was also a reporting issuer listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Mr. Manuel has over 20 years of management experience, multinational corporations worldwide, including General Electric Company, ITT Europe Ltd. and Nokia Consumer Electronics. He is a former Managing Director of Inapa France S.A. and Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Inapa Group, Europe’s fourth paper merchant with operations in eight countries.

Ezequiel Sirotinsky

Mr. Ezequiel Sirotinsky is Chief Financial Officer of Petaquilla Minerals Ltd. He a Certified Public Accountant, was appointed Chief Financial Officer on November 29, 2010. Mr. Sirotinsky was formerly Director of Finance for Silver Standard Resources, Inc., where he was responsible for the administration and finance aspects of their Mina Pirquitas Project in Argentina, and Administrative and Finance Manager for AngloGold Ashanti Limited’s Cerro Vanguardia Project, a gold and silver mine, where, among other responsibilities, he was involved in reporting and accounting management, treasury and cash management, risk management, business planning and strategy development, and tax planning.

Lazaro Rodriguez

Mr. Lazaro Rodriguez is Chief Operating Officer of Petaquilla Minerals Ltd. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Rodriguez was president and general manager of a physical security company and director and general manager of a voice, data, and video wireless network implementation company, both in Panama. He has also served as an external advisor to the National Council for Public Security and National Defense (Panama) responsible for strategy in the areas of public safety and maritime security. This followed Mr. Rodriguez’s position as Commander of the Special Operations Unit in Panama’s National Maritime Service, where he was responsible for the planning, development and execution of rescue operations, anti-drug trafficking campaigns and research.

Andrew Ramcharan

Dr. Andrew J. Ramcharan is Executive Vice President - Corporate Development of Petaquilla Minerals Ltd. He was formerly with IAMGOLD Corporation as Manager – Corporate Development (M&A), with SRK Consulting as Manager Technical Services, and with Resource Capital Funds as a geological / mining analyst. Dr. Ramcharan is a graduate of the Colorado School of Mines, the University of Loeben, (Montanuniversitaet Leoben) and Harvard University’s Continuing Education program.

David Kaplan

Mr. David Kaplan is Corporate Secretary, Independent Director of Petaquilla Minerals Ltd. He is Senior Vice President - Government Relations and Communications of the ABSi Corporation, a company which provides information technology solutions and consulting services, and a member of its executive management team responsible for all federal, state and local governmental relations, and public relations and communications programs and initiatives of the company and its subsidiaries. He also manages business development efforts, laying essential groundwork with renewable energy project sponsors, stakeholders, private and public partners and parties interested in deal and project development.

Don Cristobal Colon de Carvajal

Mr. Don Cristobal Colon de Carvajal has been appointed as the Director of Petaquilla Minerals Ltd. Mr. Colon de Carvajal, who has been serving as a member of Petaquilla's Advisory Board, has been instrumental in advancing the Company's progress with respect to its Lomero-Poyatos mine in Andalusia, Spain, and developing strategy for Petaquilla's current and future works. Mr. Colon de Carvajal, an accomplished business executive, is formerly Executive Vice Chairman of Ocaso, a privately held insurance company in Spain, a post he held for 15 years, overseeing matters of insurance, loans and other financings. Previously, he served with distinction as an officer, helicopter pilot, and naval commander in the Spanish Navy and holds several awards in Spain and abroad, including a medal bestowed by the Republic of Poland for sacrifice and courage. He has been recognized for various activities in different regions of the world and has been honoured with appointments such as Special Mission Ambassador, whereby he has represented Spain at events held in Latin America and the Caribbean. He holds the titles of Duke of Veragua, Duke de la Vega, Marquis of Jamaica, and Admiral of the Ocean Sea.

Raul Ferrer

Mr. Raul Ferrer is an Independent Director of Petaquilla Minerals Ltd. Mr. Ferrer is a director of Genesis y Asociados, an advertising and communication company. Prior to his involvement with Genesis y Asociados, he served in Investor Relations at Thunderbird Resorts Inc. from 2006 to 2008. From 2005 to 2006, he was a financial advisor at Citibank N.A. (Panamá) and a financial consultant at Wall Street Securities, S.A., an equity investment firm and subsidiary of Banco General, S.A., from 2000 to 2005. Mr. Ferrer graduated from the University of New Orleans with a business degree in Marketing and obtained his MBA at the Latin American University of Science and Technology in Panama. In 2009, he was appointed by the government of Panama as director of the Agency of Panama-Pacific Special Economic Area, an autonomous government entity responsible for assisting and informing investors about business opportunities in the Special Economic Zone of Panama.

Pedro Permuy

Mr. Pedro Pablo Permuy is an Independent Director of Petaquilla Minerals Ltd. He is President and CEO of Green T LLC, an international communications and energy consulting company he founded in February 2012. Based in Washington, D.C., he also serves as President of the United States-Spain Council, a high-level bilateral organization dedicated to fostering close ties between the United States and Spain. He was formerly Senior Vice President, Government Relations and Communications of the ABSi Corporation, an information technology solutions company in Washington, D.C. Mr. Permuy enjoyed a distinguished career in the Clinton Administration, where he served as Senior Advisor to two US Secretaries of State and as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Inter- American Affairs, and in Congress, where he served as National Security Adviser to the Chairman of the US House of Representatives Democratic Caucus. Mr. Permuy has an M.A. in International Economics and Latin American studies from the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) of the Johns Hopkins University in Washington, D.C.
