Jay Walters |
Mr. Jay Walters serves as Independent Chairman of the Board of Power-One, Inc., since June 12, 2007. Mr. Walters has served on the Board of Directors since 2000 and as Chairman of the Board of Directors since June 2007. Since 2007, Mr. Walters has been an owner and executive of Magnolia Enterprises, a company that restores and manages properties along the Gulf Coast. From March 2000 to June 2007, Mr. Walters was President of New Horizon Services, LLC, a technology consulting company. Prior to joining New Horizon Services, Mr. Walters held several executive positions with Lucent Technologies, Inc. until his retirement in 1999. Mr. Walters received his B.S. in nuclear engineering from the University of Wisconsin and his M.B.A. from Louisiana State University. |

Mr. Richard J. Thompson is President, Chief Executive Officer, Director of Power-One Inc. Mr. Thompson joined the company as Chief Executive Officer in February 2008. Before joining Power-One as an executive officer, Mr. Thompson served as a member of the Company's Board of Directors since August 2007. Mr. Thompson continues to serve on the Board of Directors. Mr. Steven D. Hogge is President - Power Solutions Strategic Business Unit of Power-One, Inc., since July 15, 2010. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Hogge held several senior management positions at Cooper Industries from 1998 to June 2010 including serving as Vice President and General Manager for Cooper Bussmann's Electronics and Transportation business units, and as Managing Director of Bussmann's Asia Pacific operations. Prior to Cooper, Mr. Hogge also held senior management positions at Bourns Inc. and Raychem Corporation. Dr. Alexander Levran is President - Renewable Energy Solutions Strategic Business Unit of Power-One Inc., since April 2010. Dr. Levran, who joined Power-One in January 2007 as Chief Technology Officer, became the President of the Renewable Energy Solutions SBU in April 2010. Dr. Levran previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Magnetek, Inc. from July 1993 to December 2006. Dr. Levran received his B.S.E.E., and M.S.E.E. from Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic Institute of NY. Ms. Tina D. McKnight is Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Secretary of Power-One Inc. Ms. McKnight joined Power-One in December 2008 as Secretary and General Counsel. Before joining Power-One, Ms. McKnight served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of BCBG Max Azria Group, an international retailer, from December 2007 to November 2008. Prior to that she served as General Counsel and Secretary of Magnetek, Inc., a global power supplies and renewable energy business, from September 2000 to December 2006. Ms. McKnight has also held in-house legal positions with Natrol, Inc. and Great Western Financial Corporation and was an attorney in the Los Angeles office of Brobeck, Phleger and Harrison after graduating from law school. Ms. McKnight earned her J.D. from the University of Southern California's Gould School of Law and her B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles. |

Mr. Kyle Ryland is Director of Power-One Inc. Mr. Ryland joined the Power-One Board of Directors in May 2009. Mr. Ryland is a Managing Director of Silver Lake Sumeru, an investment company focused on middle market strategy. He joined Silver Lake Sumeru from Shah Capital Partners, an investment company focused on technology companies. Mr. Ryland has experience with investments, financings and mergers and acquisitions in the technology sector. Before joining Shah Capital, Mr. Ryland was a managing director at Lehman Brothers, where he was the head of Global Technology Investment Banking. Prior to joining Silver Lake Sumeru, Mr. Shah founded Shah Capital Partners in 2004, and prior to that he founded and managed the Technology Solutions Business of Solectron. Prior to joining Applied Micro, Mr. Hooshmand held several executive positions with Cisco Systems from 1996 until 2005. Mr. Hooshmand joined Cisco Systems as a result of the $4.5 billion acquisition of Stratacom, where Mr. Hooshmand was instrumental in developing a broad array of telecommunications products. Mr. Hooshmand received his B.S.E.E./C.S. from California State University, Chico and his M.S. in Engineering Management from Stanford University. Dr. Mark Melliar-Smith is Independent Director of Power-One, Inc., since 2001. Since 2005, he has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Molecular Imprints, Inc., a high resolution nanoimprint lithography manufacturing solutions business based in Austin, Texas. From March 2003 to September 2005 he was Chief Operating Officer of Molecular Imprints, Inc. From January 2002 to October 2003, Dr. Melliar-Smith was a Venture Partner with Austin Ventures, a venture capital firm focusing on telecommunications, semiconductor and software businesses. From January 1997 to December 2001, Dr. Melliar-Smith was the President and Chief Executive Officer of International SEMATECH, a research and development consortium for the integrated circuit industry. He received his B.S. and Ph.D. in chemistry from Southampton University in England and his M.B.A. from Rockhurst College. Dr. Melliar-Smith also has served since 2001 as a director of Technitrol, Inc., which changed its name to Pulse Electronics Corp. (NYSE:PULS) in November 2010. Dr. Richard M. Swanson is Independent Director of Power-One, Inc., since October 29, 2010. He is the founder of SunPower Corporation, a provider of solar cells, panels, inverters and imaging detectors, and served as its President and Chief Technology Officer from 1992 until May 2010, when he became President Emeritus. Dr. Swanson received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 1974. In 1976, he joined the faculty at Stanford University where he and his group conceived and developed the point-contact solar cell. In 1991, Dr. Swanson resigned from his faculty position to devote himself full-time to SunPower Corporation. In 2011, Dr. Swanson served on the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. |
