Name Description

Belinda Hutchinson

 Ms. Belinda Jane Hutchinson, AM, is Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of QBE Insurance Group Ltd. She was appointed as an independent non-executive director of QBE in September 1997 and became Chairman in July 2010. Belinda is a member of the Audit, Investment, Remuneration and Risk and Capital Committees. She is a director of AGL Energy Limited and St Vincent’s Health Australia. She is also a member of the Salvation Army Eastern Territory Advisory Board and Chancellor of the University of Sydney. Ms. Hutchinson holds a Bachelor of Economics Degree from the University of Sydney and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.

John Neal

 Mr. John Neal has been Group Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of QBE Insurance Group Limited since August 17, 2012. Prior to his current role, John held the position of Chief Executive Officer of Global Underwriting Operations and prior to that held several leadership positions in QBE’s European Operations, most recently as Chief Underwriting Officer. John has over 25 years experience in the insurance industry and before joining QBE, John was the Chief Executive of Ensign, a Lloyd’s managing agent. John developed Ensign to become the UK’s commercial motor insurance brand. QBE acquired Ensign in 2003.

Jose Sojo

 Mr. Jose Sojo is Chief Executive Officer - Latin American Operations of QBE Insurance Group Ltd. He joined QBE in 2001 and was appointed Chief Executive Officer, Latin American Operations in 2011. Prior to his current role, Jose was General Manager, Latin America where he was responsible for QBE´s expansion from a one country operation to the current business in seven countries in Latin America. Jose currently chairs the Group´s Underwriting and Distribution Forum, working on several global initiatives for QBE. Jose has been involved in the insurance industry for 17 years, gaining underwriting and management experience at Gen Re and HIH Argentina. It was QBE’s acquisition of HIH Argentina in 2001 that brought Jose to QBE.

Neil Drabsch

 Mr. Neil G. Drabsch serves as Group Chief Financial Officer of QBE Insurance Group Limited. Mr. Drabsch was appointed chief financial officer of QBE Insurance Group in 1994. He joined QBE in 1991 and was the Group company secretary from 1992 to 2001. Mr. Drabsch has 45 years experience in insurance and reinsurance management, finance and accounting, including 24 years as a practicing chartered accountant. He will retire from the Company effective February 2014.

Steven Burns

 Mr. Steven P. Burns will serve as Group Chief Financial Officer of QBE Insurance Group Ltd effective February 2014. He is the Chief Executive Officer, European Operations of the Company. Mr. Burns is chief executive officer of QBE’s European operations. He is a chartered accountant and was finance director of the Janson Green managing agency at Lloyd’s from 1987, prior to it being acquired by Limit in 1998. Mr. Burns became chief executive officer of the Limit Group in August 2000. In September 2004, he was appointed chief executive officer of European operations as part of the restructure of the European company operations and Lloyd’s division.

David Duclos

 Mr. David Duclos is Chief Executive Officer of North American Operations of QBE Insurance Group Ltd since April 2, 2013. He has a long background in insurance, with Cigna and in recent years as Chief Operating Officer and then Chief Executive of Insurance Operations at XL Group. Since completing full time employment with the XL Group in 2011, he has acted in a consulting capacity to the CEO and executive team at XL Group, and as a director of RLI Corp, the NYSX listed specialty property and casualty and surety insurer.

Colin Fagen

 Mr. Colin Fagen is Chief Executive Officer - Australian and New Zealand Operations of QBE Insurance Group Ltd. He joined QBE in 1998 and was appointed Chief Executive Officer, Australian Operations in 2011. This was expanded to include New Zealand Operations in 2012. Prior to his current role, he was the Executive General Manager, Intermediary Distribution for Australian Operations. He has 22 years experience in the general insurance industry, having held a variety of operational roles. He is a director of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance and is also a director of the Insurance Council of Australia.

David Fried

 Mr. David Lawrence Fried is Chief Executive Officer of Asia Pacific Operations of QBE Insurance Group Ltd effective April 8, 2013. Prior to joining QBE, he was Regional Chief Executive Officer of Allianz Asia Pacific where he was responsible for a life and non-life business spanning 14 countries. Prior to that, he spent 27 years with HSBC Holdings PLC. He earned Bachelor of Arts in International Economics from Miami University.

Jenni Smith

 Ms. Jenni M. Smith is Group Executive Officer - People and Communications of QBE Insurance Group Ltd. She is also the Chair of the QBE Foundation. She has substantial international experience having held executive roles in the UK advertising and television industry. Before joining QBE, she held the position of General Manager Human Resources, International at Telstra Corporation.

George Thwaites

 Mr. George B. Thwaites is Group Chief Risk Officer of QBE Insurance Group Ltd. He joined QBE in 1999 and was appointed Group Chief Risk Officer in 2005. Prior to his current role, George was Financial Controller for QBE’s Asia Pacific Operations. George has been involved in the insurance industry for over 17 years and previously worked in the accounting profession. George has gained global experience advising financial institutions across the UK, Canada and Australia.

P. Smiles

 Mr. P. Smiles is Deputy Company Secretary of QBE Insurance Group Limited. He is also Company Secretary of various QBE Australian subsidiaries. He has 21 years insurance experience, which includes 16 years as a corporate lawyer. Prior to commencing employment with QBE in 2002, Mr. Smiles worked for the NRMA Insurance Group in various corporate roles. In addition to his current company secretarial duties, he acts as a corporate lawyer advising QBE Group head office departments and Asia Pacific offices.

John Graf

 Mr. John A. Graf has been Non-Executive Director of QBE Insurance Group Limited since August 20, 2012. He is a member of the Audit, Investment and Risk and Capital Committees. He is the chairman, president and chief executive officer of the financial services company Forethought Financial Group, Inc. He has over 31 years experience in the United States financial services industry including senior executive positions with AXA Financial Inc., American General Corporation, Conseco Inc. and John Hancock Financial Services. Mr. Graf has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Illinois.

John Green

 Mr. John M. Green has been Non-Executive Director of QBE Insurance Group Limited since March 1, 2010. He is Chairman of the Risk and Capital Committee and a member of the Investment and Remuneration Committees. John is a non-executive director of WorleyParsons Limited, a member of the Takeovers Panel in Australia, a book publisher at Pantera Press, a novelist and a business writer. As an executive director at Macquarie Bank and before that as a partner at two law firms, John advised numerous insurance and financial services companies.

Duncan Boyle

 Mr. Duncan M. Boyle has been Non-Executive Independent Director of QBE Insurance Group Limited since September 28, 2006. He is Chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of the Remuneration Committee. He is a director of Clayton Utz lawyers and Stockland Trust Group and has 40 years experience in the insurance industry in Australia, New Zealand and the UK.

Isabel Hudson

 Ms. Isabel F. Hudson has been Independent Non-Executive Director QBE Insurance Group Limited since November 4, 2005. She is Chairman of the Remuneration Committee and is a member of the Audit Committee. She is Chairman of the National House Building Council and a director of MGM Advantage, Phoenix Group Holdings and the Pensions Regulator in the UK. She is also an ambassador of the UK charity Scope. She has 32 years experience in the insurance industry in the UK and mainland Europe.
