Name Description

Ian Strachan

Mr. Ian C. Strachan has been appointed as Chairman of the Board of Transocean Ltd effective May 18, 2013. Mr. Strachan is a director of Caithness Petroleum Ltd. (since 2008), Xstrata plc (LON: XTA) (since 2003), and Rolls Royce Group plc (LON: RR) (since 2003). He served as a director of Johnson Matthey plc from 2002 to March 2009 and as Chairman of the Board of Instinet Group Incorporated from January 2003 to December 2005. Mr. Strachan served as Chief Executive Officer of BTR plc from 1996 until 1999. From 1987 to 1995, Mr. Strachan was with Rio Tinto plc, serving as Chief Financial Officer from 1987 to 1991 and as Deputy Chief Executive Officer from 1991 to 1995. He was employed by Exxon Corporation from 1970 to 1986. Mr. Strachan received his Master of Arts in History in 1965 from Christ's College, Cambridge University, and his Master of Public Affairs in 1967 from the Woodrow Wilson School, Princeton University.

Steven Newman

Mr. Steven L. Newman is President, Chief Executive Officer, Director of Transocean Ltd since March 1, 2010. Before that position, Mr. Newman served as President and Chief Operating Officer from May 2008 to November 2009 and subsequently as President. Mr. Newman’s prior senior management roles included Executive Vice President, Performance from November 2007 to May 2008, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer from October 2006 to November 2007, Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Information Process Solutions from May 2006 to October 2006, Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Information Process Solutions and Treasury from March 2005 to May 2006, and Vice President of Performance and Technology from August 2003 to March 2005. He also has served as Regional Manager for the Asia and Australia Region and in international field and operations management positions, including Project Engineer, Rig Manager, Division Manager, Region Marketing Manager and Region Operations Manager. Mr. Newman joined the Company in 1994 in the Corporate Planning Department. Mr. Newman received his Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines in 1989 and received his Master of Business Administration from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business in 1992. Mr. Newman is also a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the National Association of Corporate Directors.

Esa Ikaheimonen

Mr. Esa Ikaheimonen is Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President of Transocean Ltd since November 15, 2012. He has served as a non-executive director and the chairman of the audit committee of Ahlstrom Corporation since April 2011. Mr. Ikaheimonen served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Seadrill Ltd. from August 2010 to September 2012, and he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Poyry plc from March 2009 to July 2010. At Royal Dutch Shell, Mr. Ikaheimonen served as Vice President Finance, Shell Africa E&P from June 2007 to March 2009, as Vice President Finance, Shell Upstream Middle East from January 2007 to June 2007, and as Finance and Commercial Director, Shell Qatar from May 2004 to January 2007. Prior to May 2004, Mr. Ikaheimonen served in various financial roles for Royal Dutch Shell, including Strategy and Portfolio Manager, Shell Europe Oil Products, Finance Director, Shell Scandinavia, and Finance Director, Shell Finland. Mr. Ikaheimonen received his Master of Laws degree from the University of Turku in Finland in 1989.

John Stobart

Mr. John B. Stobart is Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President of Transocean Ltd since October 1, 2012. Before joining the Company in October 2012, Mr. Stobart served as Vice President, Global Drilling for BHP Billiton Petroleum from July 2011 to October 2012. At BHP Billiton, he also served as Worldwide Drilling Manager for BHP Billiton in Australia, the U.K. and the U.S. from January 1995 to June 2011 and as Senior Drilling Engineer, Senior Drilling Supervisor, Drilling Superintendent and Drilling Manager in the United Arab Emirates, Oman, India, Burma, Malaysia, Vietnam and Australia from June 1988 to December 1994. Mr. Stobart served as Engineering Manager at Husky/Bow Valley from November 1984 to May 1988, and he worked in engineering roles at Dome Petroleum/Canadian Marine Drilling from May 1980 to October 1984. He began his career working on land rigs in Canada and the High Arctic in June 1971. Mr. Stobart received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary in 1980 and completed the London Business School Accelerated Development Program in 2000.

David Tonnel

Mr. David A. Tonnel is Senior Vice President - Finance, Controller of Transocean Ltd since March 1, 2012. Before this, Mr. Tonnel served as Senior Vice President of the Europe and Africa Unit from June 2009 to March 2012. Mr. Tonnel served as Vice President of Global Supply Chain from November 2008 to June 2009, as Vice President of Integration and Process Improvement from November 2007 to November 2008, and as Vice President and Controller from February 2005 to November 2007. Prior to February 2005, he served in various financial roles, including Assistant Controller; Finance Manager, Asia Australia Region; and Controller, Nigeria. Mr. Tonnel joined the Company in 1996 after working for Ernst & Young in France as Senior Auditor. Mr. Tonnel received his Master of Science in Management from Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales in Paris, France in 1991.

John Truschinger

Mr. John L. Truschinger is Senior Vice President, Support Services, and Chief Information Officer for Transocean Ltd. In this role, he oversees all information technology and communications systems for the company worldwide and provides strategic direction for the company's information technology assets. Mr. Truschinger also oversees the company's global supply chain and procurement functions.

Terry Bonno

Ms. Terry B. Bonno has been Senior Vice President of Marketing at Transocean Ltd. Before being named to her current position, Ms. Bonno served as Vice President, Marketing, and previously as Director, Marketing North and South America Unit (AMU), which covers the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, Canada, Trinidad and Brazil, since March 2005. She brings approximately 30 years of industry experience including 17 years with Global Marine Inc. and Applied Drilling Technology Inc., two subsidiaries of GlobalSantaFe Corporation that were assumed in a 2007 merger with the company, and nine years with Transocean. Ms. Bonno has served in various management positions in accounting, corporate planning and marketing, including Manager Sales and Contracts Turnkey, Manager Asset Sales and Senior Sales Representative North America. She also served in the company's Europe and Africa Unit (EAU) as Marketing Manager, West Africa South, from 2003 to 2005. Ms. Bonno is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration - Accounting from Stephen F. Austin State University.

Stephen Hayes

Mr. Stephen L. Hayes has been Senior Vice President of Tax at Transocean Ltd since August 2011. Prior to this, Mr. Hayes served as Vice President of Tax since joining the Company in November 2005. Before joining the company, he served as Vice President, Tax, for Unocal Corporation. Mr. Hayes previously served in management positions with Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO). He started his career in public accounting with Arthur Andersen. He is a certified public accountant and holds a Masters of Professional Accounting degree (Taxation) from the University of Texas at Austin, Texas, and a Bachelors of Business Administration (Accounting) from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.

Deepak Munganahalli

Mr. Deepak C. Munganahalli has been Senior Vice President Innovation and Transformation at Transocean Ltd since January 2013. He is also responsible for Government and Regulatory/Industry Affairs and Shorebased Lift reorganization. Before beginning current position in, Mr. Munganahalli served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Planning and Business Development, since April 2011. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President of the Asia Pacific Business Unit from early 2008 to late 2009, and subsequently as Managing Director of the India and Middle East Division from late 2009. Mr. Munganahalli's prior roles included District Manager in India, Director of Training in France, Country Manager in Gabon and Rig Manager in Australia. He joined the company in 1991 through campus recruitment as an engineer trainee. Mr. Munganahalli is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology at Kanpur and Harvard Business School's General Management Program.

Alan Quintero

Mr. Alan Quintero has been Senior Vice President, Operations West at Transocean Ltd since January 2013. In this role, Mr. Quintero is responsible for the company's operations in North America and South America, including the U.S., Canada and Brazil. Prior to being named to his current position, Mr. Quintero served as Senior Vice President of Operations since August 2011. Previously, he served as Vice President, Quality, Heath, Safety and Environment. Mr. Quintero joined Transocean in December 2010 after 17 years with Atwood Oceanics, where worked in various operational and engineering roles, including Senior Vice President of Operations. He has also worked in the E&P, engineering and service sides of the oil industry, providing a varied experience, including two years with Underwater Tools, Inc. and six years with Exxon Company USA in various drilling, engineering and management positions. Mr. Quintero holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University. He is a member of the Executive Committee of IADC (International Association of Drilling Contractors).

Sanjaya Sood

Mr. Sanjaya Sood has been Senior Vice President, Operations East of Transocean Ltd since August 2014. In this role, Mr. Sood is responsible for the company's operations in Africa, the Middle East and the Eastern Hemisphere, including Saudi Arabia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Australia. Before being named to his current role in August 2014, Mr. Sood served as Vice President, Operations East and Vice President, Asia Pacific and Australasia Unit. Prior to joining Transocean, Mr. Sood held a number of global management positions with Schlumberger, including Vice President of global business units and earlier regional responsibilities in Europe, the Americas, Middle East and India. He has over 30 years of experience in oilfield services, including roles in Line Management, Human Resources and Operations. Mr. Sood is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He is Co-Chairman of the South Asia Chapter of IADC (International Association of Drilling Contractors) and a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Bill Ambrose

Mr. Bill Ambrose is Vice President, Major Capital Projects of Transocean Ltd. n this role, he oversees the company's major capital projects, including the construction and delivery of nine new build offshore drilling rigs under construction. Before being named to his current role in January 2013, Mr. Ambrose served as Division Managing Director for the North American Division since November 2010. His previous roles included serving as Lead Investigator for the Macondo Well Incident, Director of Maintenance and Technical Support, as well as various operations and engineering roles in Houston and India. He joined the company in 1999 as Senior Design Engineer in the new build construction group. Mr. Ambrose earned a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University in Ocean Engineering, a Master of Engineering from Virginia Tech University, and an MBA from the University of Texas.

Guilherme Coelho

Mr. Guilherme Coelho is Vice President, Strategy and Portfolio Development of Transocean Ltd. Before being named to his current position in July 2013, Mr. Coelho served as Vice President of the Africa and Mediterranean Unit since 2012, and previously he served as Managing Director of the company's South America Division, based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, since 2009. Mr. Coelho joined the company in 2004 as Legal Counsel for the South America Division and subsequently served as its Marketing Manager, and Rig Manager Performance for the Sedco 710 and Sedco 707 in Brazil. Prior to joining Transocean, Mr. Coelho worked as senior associate in law firms Gouvea Vieira Advogados and Pinheiro Guimaraes Advogados in Brazil, as international associate at Shearman & Sterling in New York, the United States, and as visiting attorney at Estudio Beccar Varella in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Mr. Coelho graduated in 1997 from Law School at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in French, European and International Business Law from Universite Pantheon-Assas (Paris-II) and has completed executive education programs in business and finance at New York University and Columbia University.

Larry McMahan

Mr. Larry McMahan is Vice President, Operations Assurance of Transocean Ltd. Prior to his assignment to this role in late 2007, Mr. McMahan served as Director of Performance in Singapore for Transocean's former Asia and Pacific Business Unit since 2004. Mr. McMahan joined the company in 1980 working offshore on the Discoverer Seven Seas drillship. Deepwater exploration drilling during this era included campaigns in Scotland, Italy, Congo West Africa, France, Brazil, the East Coast Gulf of Mexico USA. His leadership positions have included Offshore Installation Manager, Assistant Superintendent, Rig Manager and Operations Manager. As Rig Manager of the drillship Discoverer Enterprise, he was involved in the design and delivery of the world's first dual-activity, ultra-deepwater drillship. He later served as Operations Manager for the U.S. Gulf Coast. Mr. McMahan is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC). He has served as a committee member in industry seminars on deepwater well control, deepwater well construction and managed pressure drilling. He also has contributed to industry trade articles and technical papers on Transocean's patented dual-activity drilling technology.

Mark Monroe

Mr. Mark K. Monroe is Vice President, Account Management of Transocean Ltd. Mr. Monroe served since 2010 as Managing Director, Marketing, responsible for relationships with major customers such as BP, Exxon and Chevron as well as overseeing the development of the company's Customer Focus workshops. He joined a predecessor company Global Marine in 1983 as Manager, London Sales and Contracts and held numerous Marketing positions with Global Marine and GlobalSantaFe. In 2000, Mr. Monroe was promoted to Vice President, Sales and Contracts with responsibility for the sales, contracts and marketing of the GlobalSantaFe fleet in North and South America, Southeast Asia and West Africa. Mr. Monroe serves on the Board of Directors of the Offshore Energy Center, the Advisory Board of Spindletop International and is a member of the IADC (International Association of Drilling Contractors) and SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers). Mr. Monroe earned a Bachelor of Arts, Business Administration, degree from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth in 1976.

Lars Sjoebring

Mr. Lars Sjoebring has been Senior Vice President, General Counsel of Transocean Ltd since March 2014. Prior to this, he served as the Vice President Legal Affairs, General Counsel and Secretary of Autoliv, Inc. from September 2007 to February 2014. Mr. Sjoebring served as Senior Legal Counsel and, subsequently, as Director, Legal, Mergers and Acquisitions for Nokia Corporation from September 2003 to September 2007. He also served as Foreign Legal Counsel for Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP from September 2000 to June 2003. Mr. Sjoebring received his Master of Laws degrees from Lund University in Sweden in 1994 and from University of Amsterdam in Netherlands in 1995, and he received a Master of Corporate Law degree from Fordham University School of Law in New York in 2003.

Keelan Adamson

Mr. Keelan Adamson has been Vice President of Human Resources of Transocean Ltd. Before being named to his current position in January 2013, Mr. Adamson served as Vice President, Major Capital Projects and as Vice President, Engineering and Technical Services. Prior to joining the executive management team in 2010, he served approximately two years as Managing Director for the company's North America Division, responsible for operations in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, Canada and Trinidad. Mr. Adamson joined the company in 1995 as an Operations Engineer in Aberdeen and has served in various management positions in international operations, marketing, technology and human resources, including: Rig Manager in the U.K., Nigeria, Thailand and Vietnam; Shipyard Project Manager in Singapore; Sales and Marketing Manager in Nigeria; and Corporate Performance Manager, Director of Well Construction and Technology, and Human Resources Director for North and South America in the United States. Mr. Adamson holds a bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering from The Queens University of Belfast.

Glyn Barker

Mr. Glyn A. Barker has been Independent Director of Transocean Ltd since May 18, 2012. He served as Vice Chairman-U.K. of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) from 2008 to 2011. He was also responsible for PwC’s strategy and business development for the geographic areas of Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India. Mr. Barker joined PwC in 1975 and became an audit partner in 1987. He then established PwC’s private equity-focused Transactions Services business and led it globally. He joined the Management Board of PwC in the UK as Head of the Assurance Practice in 2002. In 2006, he became UK Managing Partner and served in that role until 2008. Mr. Barker is a non-executive director of Auctus Industries plc (since 2014), Berkeley Group Holdings plc (LON: BKG) (since 2012) and Aviva plc (LON: AV) (since 2012) and Chairman of IMCO Holdings Ltd (since 2012). He is also Deputy Chairman of the English National Opera Company (since 2009). Vanessa Chang

Ms. Vanessa Chee Ling Chang has been Independent Director of Transocean Ltd since May 18, 2012. Ms. Chang has been a Director and shareholder of EL & EL Investments, a privately held real estate investment business, since 1998. Ms. Chang previously served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Resolveitnow.com from 2000 until 2002 and was the Senior Vice President of Secured Capital Corp in 1998. From 1986 until 1997, Ms. Chang was the West Coast partner in charge of Corporate Finance for KPMG Peat Marwick LLP. Ms. Chang is a director for individual investment funds within the American Funds family (since 2000), of Edison International (NYSE: EIX) and its wholly owned subsidiary, Southern California Edison Company (since 2007). She is also a director of Forest Lawn Memorial Parks Association, a non-profit organization (since 2013). Ms. Chang previously served as a director of Blue Shield of California from 2005 to 2013 and Inveresk Research Group Inc. from 2002 until 2004. Ms. Chang received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1973 from the University of British Columbia and is an inactive Certified Public Accountant. Frederico Curado

Mr. Frederico F. Curado has been Independent Director of Transocean Ltd since 2013. Mr. Curado has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Embraer S.A. (NYSE: ERJ) since 2007. Mr. Curado joined Embraer in 1984 and has served in a variety of management positions during his career, including Executive Vice President, Airline Market from 1998 to 2007 and Executive Vice President, Planning and Organizational Development from 1995 to 1998. Mr. Curado is the President of the Brazilian Chapter of the Brazil-United States Business Council (since 2011) and a member of Brazil’s National Council for Industrial Development (since 2011). He is also a member of the Executive Board of the ICC-International Chamber of Commerce (since 2013). Mr. Curado received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical-Aeronautical Engineering from the Instituto Tecnologico de´ Aeronautica in Brazil and an executive Masters in Business Administration from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Chadwick Deaton

Mr. Chadwick C. Deaton has been Independent Director of Transocean Ltd since May 18, 2012. Mr. Deaton served as Executive Chairman of Baker Hughes Incorporated (NYSE: BHI) from 2012 to 2013, prior to which he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since 2004. Mr. Deaton began his career with Schlumberger in 1976 and served in a variety of international capacities, including as Executive Vice President, Oilfield Services from 1998 to 1999 and as a Senior Advisor from 1999 until 2001. From 2002 until 2004, Mr. Deaton was the President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Hanover Compressor Company. Mr. Deaton is a director of Ariel Corporation (since 2005), Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE: APD) (since 2010), CARBO Ceramics Inc. (NYSE: CRR) (since 2013), and Marathon Oil Corporation (NYSE: MRO) (since 2014). He previously served as a Director of CARBO Ceramics Inc. from 2004 to 2009. Mr. Deaton is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (since 1980) and has served on its Industrial Advisory Council since 2010. He is also a director of the University of Wyoming Foundation and of the Houston Achievement Place, a non-profit organization. He served as co-chair of the Wyoming Governor’s Task Force for the build out of the University of Wyoming’s new Engineering and Applied Sciences Center and was a member of the National Petroleum Counsel (from 2007 to 2013). Mr. Deaton received his Bachelor of Science degree in Geology in 1976 from the University of Wyoming.

Vincent Intrieri

Mr. Vincent J. Intrieri is Independent Director of Transocean Ltd since 2014. Since January 2008, Mr. Intrieri has held various positions including Senior Managing Director of Icahn Capital LP, Icahn Onshore LP, general partner of Icahn Partners LP, the general partner of Icahn Partners Master Fund LP, Icahn Partners Master Fund II LP and Icahn Partners Master Fund III LP. Mr. Intrieri has been a director of: Forest Laboratories, Inc. since June 2013, he held various positions at CVR Refining GP, LLC, the general partner of CVR Refining, LP, P-27since January 2013; Navistar International Corporation since October 2012; Chesapeake Energy Corporation since June 2012; and CVR Energy, Inc. since May 2012. Mr. Intrieri was previously: a director of Federal Mogul Corporation, from December 2007 to June 2013; a director of Icahn Enterprises G.P. Inc., the general partner of Icahn Enterprises L.P. from July 2006 to September 2012, and was Senior Vice President of Icahn Enterprises G.P. Inc. from October 2011 to September 2012; a director of Dynegy Inc. from March 2011 to September 2012; chairman of the board and a director of PSC Metals Inc. from December 2007 to April 2012; a director of Motorola Solutions, Inc. from January 2011 to March 2012. Mr. Intrieri graduated in 1984, with Distinction, from The Pennsylvania State University (Erie Campus) with a B.S. in Accounting. Mr. Intrieri was a certified public accountant.

Martin McNamara

Mr. Martin B. McNamara is Independent Director of Transocean Ltd since November 1994. Mr. McNamara is a retired Partner of the law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP and has served as a member of the firm's executive, finance, planning and compensation committees, as well as a Partner-in-Charge of the firm's Texas practice. During the past ten years and prior to his retirement in 2010, Mr. McNamara was in the private practice of law. Mr. McNamara has also served as Ex Officio Trustee and Ex Officio Member of the Executive Committee of St. Mark's School of Texas since 2002. Mr. McNamara received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1969 from Providence College and his law degree in 1972 from Yale Law School. Mr. Samuel Merksamer has been Independent Director of Transocean Ltd since 2013. Mr. Merksamer is a Managing Director of Icahn Capital LP, a subsidiary of Icahn Enterprises L.P., where he has been employed since 2008. He previously served as a director of American Railcar Industries, Inc. from 2011 to 2013, Dynegy Inc. from 2011 to 2012, Viskase Companies, Inc. from 2010 to 2013, Federal Mogul Corporation from 2010 to 2014, and PSC Metals Inc. from 2009 to 2012. CVR Refining, CVR Energy, American Railcar Industries, Federal Mogul, Viskase Companies and PSC Metals are each indirectly controlled by Carl C. Icahn. Mr. Icahn also has a non-controlling interest in Dynegy, Hologic and Talisman Energy through the ownership of securities. Mr. Merksamer received an A.B. in Economics from Cornell University in 2002.

Merrill Miller

Mr. Merrill A. Miller, Jr, has been Independent Director of Transocean Ltd since 2014. Mr. Miller is the Executive Chairman of NOW Inc. (NYSE: DNOW), a spinoff of the distribution business of National Oilwell Varco, Inc. (NYSE: NOV), a supplier of oilfield services and equipment to the oil and gas industry. Prior to assuming this role, Mr. Miller served as President and Chief Executive Officer of NOV (from 2001 to 2014) and as Chairman of the Board (from 2002 to 2014). He joined NOV in 1996. Mr. Miller is a Director of Chesapeake Energy Corporation (NYSE: CHK) (since 2007), one of the largest producers of natural gas and of oil and natural gas liquids in the U.S., and served as Lead Independent Director from 2010 to 2012. Mr. Miller served as President of Anadarko Drilling Company from 1995 to 1996. Before joining Anadarko, Mr. Miller spent 15 years at Helmerich & Payne International Drilling Company (NYSE: HP) in Tulsa, Oklahoma, serving in various senior management positions, including Vice President, U.S. Operations. Mr. Miller graduated from the United States Military Academy, West Point, New York in 1972. Upon graduation, he served five years in the United States Army and received his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1980. Mr. Miller serves on the Board of Directors for the Offshore Energy Center, Petroleum Equipment Suppliers Association and Spindletop International, and is a member of the National Petroleum Council.

Edward Muller

Mr. Edward R. Muller is Independent Director of Transocean Ltd since November 2007. He served as a director of GlobalSantaFe Corporation from November 2001 to November 2007 and of Global Marine, Inc., from 1997 to 2001. Since the merger of Mirant Corporation with RRI Energy, Inc. to form GenOn Energy, Inc. (NYSE: GEN) in December 2010, he has served as GenOn Energy Inc.'s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Since August 2011, he has also served as GenOn Energy's President. Prior to the merger, Mr. Muller served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mirant Corporation from September 2005 to December 2010. Mr. Muller was a private investor from 2000 until 2005. Mr. Muller served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Edison Mission Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of Edison International, from 1993 until 2000. During his tenure, Edison Mission Energy was engaged in developing, owning and operating independent power production facilities worldwide. Within the past ten years, Mr. Muller was also a director of The Keith Companies, Inc., RigNet, Inc. and Ormat Technologies, Inc. Mr. Muller received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1973 from Dartmouth College and his law degree in 1976 from Yale Law School. Since 2004, Mr. Muller has been a trustee of the Riverview School and, since 2008, its chairman.

Ek Kia Tan

Mr. Tan Ek Kia serves as the Independent Director of Transocean Ltd since May 13, 2011. Mr. Tan is the retired Vice President, Ventures and Developments, Asia Pacific and Middle East Region of Shell Chemicals, a position in which he served from 2003 to 2006. Mr. Tan joined the Shell group of companies in 1973 as an engineer and served in a variety of positions in Asia, the U.S. and Europe during his career, including as Chairman, Shell Companies, Northeast Asia from 2000 to 2003, Managing Director of Shell Nanhai from 1997 to 2000 and Managing Director of Shell Malaysia Exploration and Production from 1994 to 1997. Mr. Tan is a director of PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (since 2011), Keppel Corporation (since 2010), Keppel Offshore & Marine (since 2009), City Spring (since 2010), SMRT Corporation (since 2009), Dialog Systems Asia (since 2008) and Chairman of City Gas (since 2009). Mr. Tan has also served as the Interim Chief Executive Officer of SMRT Corporation (Singapore Mass Rapid Transit) since January 2012. Mr. Tan received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1973 from the University of Nottingham, and is a Chartered Engineer with the UK Engineering Council and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia.
