Name Description

James Buettgen

Mr. James J. Buettgen has been appointed as Chairman of the Board, President, Chief Executive Officer of Ruby Tuesday Inc. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Buettgen served as Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer of Darden Restaurants, Inc. (“Darden”) from June 2011 to November 2012 and as Senior Vice President, New Business Development of Darden from May 2007 to June 2011. Additionally, Mr. Buettgen served as President of Darden’s former Smokey Bones Barbeque & Grill concept from November 2004 to May 2007. Prior to his tenure at Darden, among other positions, Mr. Buettgen served as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Brand Development for Brinker International, Inc.; Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Disneyland Resorts, a division of the Walt Disney Company; Senior Vice President of Marketing for Hollywood Entertainment Group; and held various marketing positions with General Mills, Inc. Mr. Buettgen has a M.B.A. in Marketing Management from the University of California at Los Angeles and a B.S. in Finance from Miami University.

Sue Briley

Ms. Sue Briley is Interim Chief Financial Officer, Vice President - Finance of the Company. Prior to joining Ruby Tuesday, Ms. Briley was sole proprietor of Symmetry Financial Consulting. From November 2012 to July 2013, she served as Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at Margaritaville Enterprises. Before that, Ms. Briley held several finance, accounting, and treasury positions at Darden Restaurants. These included Finance Manager from July 2005 to November 2012, when she led the sales and marketing plan, FP&A and estimate process for Darden's Specialty Restaurant Group, and Senior Financial Analyst from October 1999 to July 2005, when she was involved in operations finance, treasury, tax and purchasing analysis. Ms. Briley earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Finance at Florida Southern College and an Executive MBA from Strayer University.

Brett Patterson

Mr. Brett A. Patterson has been promoted as President - Ruby Tuesday Concept of the Company, Mr. Patterson served as Senior Vice President of Operations of the Company from September 2014 to July 2015 and served as Vice President of Operations from July 2013 to September 2014. Prior to joining the Company, between 1997 and 2013, Mr. Patterson served in various roles of increasing responsibility with Darden including Director of Operations for Bahama Breeze, Vice President of Operations for LongHorn Steakhouse, and Senior Vice President of Operations for Olive Garden.

David Skena

Mr. David Skena is Chief Marketing Officer of Ruby Tuesday, Inc. Mr. Skena is a seasoned and accomplished senior marketing executive with over twenty years of marketing and consulting experience in the consumer packaged goods and retail sectors with particular expertise in brand-building, campaign management, marketing and business strategy development, product innovation and promotions, and advertising and creative development, including digital and social media. Over the past nine years, Skena progressed through PepsiCo, Inc. with increasing levels of responsibility, most recently serving as the Vice President of Premium and Value Brands, including Stacy's Pita Chips and Smartfood popcorn, among others. Skena has been recognized by Effie Worldwide for his role in developing effective advertising creative for various marketing campaigns. Prior to PepsiCo, Skena served over six years at Kraft Foods, Inc. in brand management for multiple product lines.

Mike Ellis

Mr. Mike Ellis is Chief Development Officer of the company. He is most recently held the position of Chief Development Officer for Einstein Noah Restaurant Group where he was responsible for all aspects of development for the Einstein Brothers Bagels and Noah's New York Bagels brands. Prior to that role, he served as Chief Development Officer of O'Charley's Inc., as well as senior development positions at BP Products North America, Carlson Restaurants Worldwide, Burger King Inc., Darden Restaurants Inc., and DF&R Restaurants, Inc. He received an AA in Political Science from Delta College.

Tom Williams

Mr. Tom Williams is Chief People Officer of the Company. Most recently, Mr. Williams held the position of Chief Human Resources Officer for Jo-Ann Stores, the nation's largest specialty retailer of fabrics and crafts with over 850 stores in 49 states. He also has experience leading store operations and supply chain at Jo-Ann Stores. Prior to that, Mr. Williams worked for Walmart in a variety of Human Resources, Finance and operational roles. Mr. Williams has more than 30 years of experience in executing and leading human resources functions in both private and public retail organizations. In his role as Chief People Officer, he will be responsible for leading the Human Resources department at Ruby Tuesday.

Rhonda Parish

Ms. Rhonda J. Parish is Chief Legal Officer and Secretary of Ruby Tuesday, Inc. Ms. Parish is a seasoned restaurant executive with over thirty years of experience in retail and restaurant industries. Ms. Parish most recently served as the Chief Legal Officer of Einstein Noah Restaurant Group in Lakewood, CO, and was previously the Chief Legal Officer of Denny's Corporation (and its predecessor companies) in Spartanburg, SC. Ms. Parish also held a number of executive positions, including Assistant General Counsel at Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. in Bentonville, AR. Ms. Parish currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Center for Legal Inclusiveness, a 501(c)(3) dedicated to advancing diversity in the legal profession by actively educating and supporting private and public sector legal organizations in their own individual campaigns to create cultures of inclusion. Ms. Parish has served as a member on the United States Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and on the board of directors of both the Charles Lea Center and the Charles Lea Center Foundation in Spartanburg, SC. Ms. Parish earned a B.S. degree in Political Science from the University of Central Arkansas and her J.D. degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law.

Brian Wanamaker

Stephen Sadove

Mr. Stephen I. Sadove is Lead Independent Director of Ruby Tuesday Inc. Mr. Sadove has served as Chief Executive Officer of Saks Incorporated (“Saks”) since January 2006 and assumed the position of Chairman of the Saks Board in May 2007. Before becoming Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Sadove served Saks as Vice Chairman from January 2002 to March 2004 and served as Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer from March 2004 to January 2006. Prior to his position with Saks, Mr. Sadove served as Senior Vice President of Bristol-Myers Squibb Company (“Bristol-Myers”) and President of Bristol-Myers Worldwide Beauty Care and Nutritionals from 1996 to January 2002. Mr. Sadove has an M.B.A. with distinction from Harvard Business School and a B.A. with honors from Hamilton College.

Mark Addicks

Mr. Mark W. Addicks is Director of the Company. As Chief Marketing Officer at General Mills, Mr. Addicks is responsible for global brand-building strategy, including advertising, promotions, public relations, and multicultural initiatives. He also oversees the company’s well-known Box Tops for Education program and the Pillsbury Bake-Off Contest. Mr. Addicks joined General Mills in 1988, and has since held marketing positions in various divisions. He has led highly successful new product development efforts and has received numerous industry awards for his innovation and marketing expertise. Mr. Addicks was named Chief Marketing Officer in 2004 and assumed his current position in 2007. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas and an MBA from Harvard University.

Donald Hess

Mr. Donald E. Hess is Director of the Company. Mr. Hess, who was President and CEO of Parisian, Inc. as well as a member on the board of directors of Proffitt’s and Saks Inc., has extensive experience in the retail industry. As President and CEO of Parisian, a department store chain with stores primarily in the southeast, Mr. Hess was instrumental in establishing and executing an expansion strategy leading to significant growth for the company. In addition to his executive leadership and strategic vision, Mr. Hess also oversaw the merchandising and marketing function for the company. When Parisian sold to Proffitt’s, which was later purchased by Saks, Mr. Hess served on the boards of each. Mr. Hess is also the CEO of Southwood Partners, a private investment company, and is engaged in regional, national, and international philanthropic organizations. Mr. Hess holds a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College.

F. Lane Cardwell

Mr. F. Lane Cardwell, Jr., is Independent Director of Ruby Tuesday, Inc. He previously served as the President of P.F. Chang’s China Bistro (“P.F. Chang’s”) from March 2011 until the company was taken private in mid-2012. Prior to that, he was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Boston Market from June 2009 to October 2010. Mr. Cardwell was the President of Cardwell Hospitality Advisory from June 1999 to June 2009, serving on several public and private boards during that time. Mr. Cardwell was on the board of P.F. Chang’s from 1999 to 2009, and then again from 2010 to 2012. He also served on the board of Famous Dave’s of America, Inc. and was interim President and Chief Executive Officer from December 2007 until April 2008. He previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Eatzi’s Market and Bakery from 1996 to 1999. Prior to joining Eatzi’s, Mr. Cardwell was Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer and a member of the board of directors of Brinker International, Inc. Mr. Cardwell also serves on the board of directors of a private family dining company. Mr. Cardwell has an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of North Texas and a B.B.A. in Marketing from Southern Methodist University.

Kevin Clayton

Mr. Kevin T. Clayton is Independent Director of Ruby Tuesday, Inc. Mr. Clayton has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Clayton Homes, Inc. (a Berkshire Hathaway Company) since 1999. Prior to serving as President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Clayton served as Chief Operating Officer of Clayton Homes, Inc. from 1997 to 1999 and as Vice President of Clayton Homes, Inc. and President of Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance, Inc. from 1995 until 1997. Mr. Clayton has an M.B.A. from the University of Tennessee and a B.S./B.A. from James Madison University.

Bernard Lanigan

Mr. Bernard Lanigan, Jr., is Independent Director of Ruby Tuesday, Inc. Mr. Lanigan founded and has served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Southeast Asset Advisors, Inc., a registered investment advisor and wealth management company, since 1991. Also, Mr. Lanigan founded and has served as Chairman of Lanigan & Associates, P.C., Certified Public Accountants and Consultants, since 1974. Mr. Lanigan also serves on the board of directors of several private companies and foundations and is Managing Director of Conifer Advisors, LLC which manages various entities that invest in private equity as well as public companies. Mr. Lanigan is a graduate of Furman University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Jeffrey O'Neill

Mr. Jeffrey J. O'Neill is Independent Director of Ruby Tuesday, Inc. Mr. O’Neill has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Einstein Noah Restaurant Group (“Einstein Noah”) since December 2008. In May 2005, Mr. O’Neill joined Priszm Income Fund in Toronto, Canada and served as its President and Chief Operating Officer until being named Chief Executive Officer in January 2008. Priszm Income Fund owned and operated 465 quick service and quick casual restaurants (KFC, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut) across seven Canadian provinces. From March 1999 until January 2003, Mr. O’Neill served as President of Pepsi-Cola Canada and from February 2003 through March 2005 he was Vice President of Sales for Quaker Foods USA. Mr. O’Neill holds an Honors Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Ottawa.

Ramona Seale
