Since June 2004, Mr. Fisch has served as a member of the board of directors of The Children’s Place Retail Stores, Inc. (“The Children’s Place”) and currently serves on its compensation committee. Mr. Fisch is the most senior executive officer of the Company and provides Board with the insight into the Company’s business, challenges and the material risks facing it. Mr. Harlan M. Kent has been appointed as Independent Director of rue21, Inc., effective May 29, 2012. Mr. Kent joined Yankee Candle in 2001 as Senior Vice President of the Wholesale Division and was promoted to President of the company in 2004. He was promoted to COO in 2007 and became CEO in 2009.
