| O'Brien, David | Mr. David P. O'Brien is Chairman of the Board of Royal Bank of Canada and has served as a director of the Bank since May 7, 1996. Mr. O’Brien is also Chairman and a director of EnCana Corporation (an oil and gas company). From October 2001 to April 2002, Mr. O’Brien was Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and a director of PanCanadian Energy Corporation (an oil and gas company), which merged with Alberta Energy Company Ltd. in April 2002 to form EnCana Corporation. Mr. O’Brien is Chancellor of Concordia University, a director of Enerplus Resources Fund, Molson Coors Brewing Company, TransCanada Corporation, TransCanada Pipelines Limited, and the C.D. Howe Institute, and a member of the Science, Technology and Innovation Council of Canada. Mr. O’Brien was for five years prior to October 1, 2001, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Canadian Pacific Limited, and also served on the boards of directors of a number of Canadian Pacific Limited subsidiaries.
