Name Description

Ronald Kruszewski

Mr. Ronald J. Kruszewski is a Co-Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer of STIFEL FINANCIAL CORP. Mr. Kruszewski is Chairman of the Board of Directors of our company and Stifel since April 2001. Prior thereto, Mr. Kruszewski served as Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of Baird Financial Corporation and Managing Director of Robert W. Baird & Co. Incorporated, a securities broker-dealer firm, from 1993 to September 1997.

Thomas Weisel

Mr. Thomas W. Weisel is a Co-Chairman of the Board of Stifel Financial Corp. He was elected Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors of our company in August 2010 after the completion of the merger between our company and Thomas Weisel Partners Group, Inc. Prior thereto, Mr. Weisel served as Chairman and CEO of Thomas Weisel Partners Group, Inc., a firm he founded, from 1998 to June 2010. Prior to founding Thomas Weisel Partners, Mr. Weisel was a founder, in 1971, of Robertson, Coleman, Siebel & Weisel that became Montgomery Securities in 1978, where he was Chairman and CEO until September 1998. Mr. Weisel served as a director on the NASDAQ Stock Market board of directors from 2002 to 2006.

James Zemlyak

Mr. James M. Zemlyak is a Co-President, Chief Financial Officer, Director of STIFEL FINANCIAL CORP. He was named to the Office of the President in June 2014. Mr. Zemlyak has been Chief Financial Officer and Director of our company and Stifel since February 1999. Mr. Zemlyak served as our company’s Treasurer from February 1999 to January 2012. Mr. Zemlyak has been Chief Operating Officer of Stifel since August 2002 and Executive Vice President of Stifel since December 1, 2005. Mr. Zemlyak also served as Chief Financial Officer of Stifel from February 1999 to October 2006. Prior to joining our company, Mr. Zemlyak served as Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of Baird Financial Corporation from 1997 to 1999 and Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Robert W. Baird & Co. Incorporated from 1994 to 1999.

Richard Himelfarb

Mr. Richard J. Himelfarb is Vice Chairman of the Board, Senior Vice President of Stifel Financial Corp. He has served as Senior Vice President and Director of our company and Executive Vice President and Director of Stifel since December 2005. Mr. Himelfarb was designated Chairman of Investment Banking in July 2009. Prior to that, Mr. Himelfarb served as Executive Vice President and Director of Investment Banking from December 2005 through July 2009. Prior to joining our company, Mr. Himelfarb served as a director of Legg Mason, Inc. from November 1983 and Legg Mason Wood Walker, Inc. from January 2005. Mr. Himelfarb was elected Executive Vice President of Legg Mason and Legg Mason Wood Walker, Inc. in July 1995, having previously served as Senior Vice President from November 1983.

Ben Plotkin

Mr. Ben A. Plotkin is a Vice Chairman, Senior Vice President, Director of STIFEL FINANCIAL CORP. He has been Vice Chairman, Senior Vice President, and Director of our company since August 2007 and Executive Vice President of Stifel since February 2007. Mr. Plotkin also served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ryan Beck & Company, Inc. from 1997 until its acquisition by our company in 2007. Mr. Plotkin was elected Executive Vice President of Ryan Beck in 1990. Mr. Plotkin became a Senior Vice President of Ryan Beck in 1989 and was appointed First Vice President of Ryan Beck in December of 1987. Mr. Plotkin joined Ryan Beck in May of 1987 as a Director and Vice President in the Investment Banking Division.

Thomas Mulroy

Mr. Thomas P. Mulroy is a President, Co-Director of Institutional Group, Director of STIFEL FINANCIAL CORP. Mr. Mulroy has served as Co-Director of our Institutional Group since July 2009. Mr. Mulroy has served as Director of our company and Executive Vice President and Director of Stifel since December 2005. Prior to that, Mr. Mulroy served as Director of Equity Capital Markets from December 2005 through July 2009. Mr. Mulroy has responsibility for institutional equity sales, trading, and research. Victor Nesi

Mr. Victor J. Nesi is a President, Co-Director of Institutional Group, and Director of STIFEL FINANCIAL CORP. Mr. Nesi has served as Director of Investment Banking and Co-Director of our Institutional Group since July 2009. Mr. Nesi has served as Director of our company since August 2009. Mr. Nesi has more than 20 years of banking and private equity experience, most recently with Merrill Lynch, where he headed the global private equity business for the telecommunications and media industry. From 2005 to 2007, he directed Merrill Lynch’s investment banking group for the Americas region. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch in 1996, Mr. Nesi spent seven years as an investment banker at Salomon Brothers and Goldman Sachs.

James Marischen

Mr. James M. Marischen is a Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer, Chief Risk Officer of STIFEL FINANCIAL CORP. He has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer of our company since January 2014. During 2015, Mr. Marischen was named our Chief Accounting Officer. Mr. Marischen served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Stifel Bank & Trust from February 2008 to January 2014. Prior to joining our company in 2008, Mr. Marischen worked in public accounting at KPMG LLP.

Mark Fisher

Mr. Mark P. Fisher is Senior Vice President, General Counsel of STIFEL FINANCIAL CORP. He has served as Senior Vice President since July 2010 and General Counsel since May 2014. Mr. Fisher served as General Counsel of Thomas Weisel Partners Group, Inc. from May 2005 until the merger between our company and Thomas Weisel Partners Group, Inc. in July 2010. From January 1998 until May 2005, Mr. Fisher practiced corporate and securities law at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP.

Thomas Michaud

Mr. Thomas B. Michaud serves as a Senior Vice President, Director of STIFEL FINANCIAL CORP. He was elected to the Board of Directors of our company in February 2013 after the completion of the merger between our company and KBW, Inc. Mr. Michaud has served as Senior Vice President of our company and Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and President of Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, Inc., one of our broker-dealer subsidiaries, since February 15, 2013. Prior thereto, Mr. Michaud served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of KBW, Inc. since October 2011 and as Vice Chairman and director since its formation in August 2005. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer from August 2005 until October 2011.

David Sliney

Mr. David D. Sliney is a Senior Vice President of Stifel Financial Corp.. In 1997, Mr. Sliney began a Strategic Planning and Finance role with Stifel and has served as a Director of Stifel since May 2003. Mr. Sliney is also responsible for our company’s Operations and Technology departments. Mr. Sliney joined Stifel in 1992, and between 1992 and 1995, Mr. Sliney worked as a fixed income trader and later assumed responsibility for the firm’s Equity Syndicate Department.

Mr. Bruce A. Beda is no longer Independent Lead Director of Stifel Financial Corp. He is Chief Executive Officer, Kilbourn Capital Management, LLC, a financial asset manager (2001 – present); Held various management positions at two Fortune 200 companies for 15 years and was Chief Financial Officer of a public company. He has M.B.A., Finance, University of Michigan and B.B.A, Accounting, University of Michigan.

Kathleen Brown

Ms. Kathleen L. Brown is an Independent Director of STIFEL FINANCIAL CORP. She is a Partner in the Government and Regulatory Affairs Group at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP. Ms. Brown's practice focuses on business counseling, particularly as they relate to the healthcare, energy, infrastructure and financial services sectors. Ms. Brown brings to her practice a background that includes 18 years as a senior executive in the banking and financial services industry, including more than 12 years at Goldman Sachs, where she served as chairman of Midwest Investment Banking and, prior to that, as managing director and head of the firm's Western Region Public-Sector and Infrastructure Group. Ms. Brown also held various senior positions with Bank of America, including president of the private bank. Ms. Brown has 16 years of public-sector experience, including a term as California's state treasurer, where she managed a $25 billion bond portfolio, oversaw a $32 billion cash management fund, and served as a trustee on the boards of CALPERS and CALSTRS, two of the largest pension funds in the nation. Ms. Brown earned a BA in History from Stanford University and a JD from Fordham University School of Law. She currently serves on the board of Sempra Energy and is a member of the Council of Foreign Relations and the Pacific Council on International Policy. Ms. Brown also serves on the Board of the National Park Foundation.

Michael Brown

Mr. Michael W. Brown is an Independent Director of Stifel Financial Corp. He was an officer of Microsoft Corporation from December 1989 through July 1997, serving as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from August 1994 to July 1997, and in various positions before that as Vice President - Finance and Treasurer. Prior to joining Microsoft, Mr. Brown spent 18 years with Deloitte & Touche LLP in various positions. Mr. Brown is also a director of EMC Corporation (NYSE: EMC), VMware, Inc. (NYSE: VMW), and Administaff, Inc. (NYSE: ASF), in addition to several private companies. Mr. Brown served as a director of TWPG from February 2007 to June 2010. Mr. Brown is a past Chairman of the NASDAQ Stock Market board of directors and a past governor of the National Association of Securities Dealers.

John Dubinsky

Mr. John P. Dubinsky is an Independent Director of Stifel Financial Corp. Mr. Dubinsky has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Westmoreland Associates, LLC, a financial consulting company, since 1999; President and Chief Executive Officer of CORTEX (Center of Research, Technology and Entrepreneurial Expertise) since 2003; President Emeritus of Firstar Bank from 1999 until 2001; Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mercantile Bank from 1997 until its merger with U.S. Bank National Association (formerly, Firstar Bank, N.A.) in 1999; previously President and CEO of Mark Twain Bancshares, Inc.; Vice-Chairman: BJC HealthCare; Trustee: Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University. Mr. Dubinsky was named Chairman of the board of Stifel Bank & Trust in April 2007. Mr. Dubinsky is currently on the board of directors of Insituform Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: INSU) and Accentia Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: ABPI).

Robert Grady

Mr. Robert Edward Grady is an Independent Director of Stifel Financial Corp. Mr. Grady is currently a partner and managing director at Cheyenne Capital Fund, a private equity investment firm. Prior to joining Cheyenne Capital Fund, from 2000 through 2009, Mr. Grady served as a partner at The Carlyle Group, a global alternative asset management firm, where he was Chairman and Managing Partner of Carlyle Venture Partners, the firm's U.S. venture and growth capital organization. Mr. Grady joined Carlyle in 2000 as global head of Venture Capital and served as a Member of Carlyle's Management Committee. Mr. Grady served as Chairman of the National Venture Capital Association's Board of Directors from 2006 to 2007, having joined the board in 2002. Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Grady was a Managing Director and member of the Management Committee at Robertson Stephens & Company, an emerging growth investment bank. Mr. Grady previously served in the White House as Deputy Assistant to President George H.W. Bush and as Executive Associate Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Mr. Grady also served for a decade on the faculty of the Stanford Graduate School of Business where he taught courses on environmental policy and regulation. Mr. Grady is also a director of Maxim Integrated Products (NASDAQ: MXIM) and several privately-held companies. He is currently Chairman of the New Jersey Council of Economic Advisors and a member of the New Jersey State Investment Council. Mr. Grady served as a director of TWPG from September 2009 to June 2010, as a former Chairman and director of AuthenTec, Inc. (NASDAQ: AUTH), and as a former director of Blackboard, Inc. Frederick Hanser

Mr. Frederick O. Hanser is an Independent Director of STIFEL FINANCIAL CORP. Mr. Hanser has been the Vice Chairman and a director of the St. Louis Cardinals, LLC since 1996, and is President and a director of SLC Holdings, LLC, Manager and Holding Company for the St. Louis Cardinals, LLC. Prior to his role with the St. Louis Cardinals organization, Mr. Hanser practiced law for 30 years, first with the firm of Fordyce and Mayne and then with Armstrong, Teasdale LLP. Mr. Hanser concentrated his practice in banking, corporate and estate taxation, medical law, venture capital, and closely held businesses Mr. Hanser is a 1963 graduate of Yale University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He received his juris doctor degree from Washington University in 1966. Mr. Hanser currently serves on the board for a number of St. Louis organizations, including Southwest Bank, the Backstoppers, St. Luke's Hospital, St. Louis Community Foundation, the Greater St. Louis Area Council Boy Scouts of America, St. Louis Cardinals Community Fund (Cardinals Care), the Regional Chamber and Growth Association of Greater St. Louis, the Regional Business Council and The Downtown St. Louis Partnership, Inc.

Maura Markus

Ms. Maura A. Markus is an Independent Director of STIFEL FINANCIAL CORP. She has more than 25 years of experience leading operations, sales, and marketing initiatives in the U.S. and Europe, helping build both Bank of the West and Citibank in senior executive and board roles. From 2010 to 2014, Ms. Markus served as President, Chief Operating Officer, and as a board Director at Bank of the West. Prior to joining Bank of the West, Ms. Markus was a 22-year veteran of Citigroup, where she served as Executive Vice President, Head of International Retail Banking in Citi's Global Consumer Group from 2007 to 2009. She held a number of additional domestic and international management positions including President, Citibank North America, from 2000 - 2007, as well as Citi's European Sales and Marketing Director based in Brussels, Belgium, and as President of Citi's consumer business in Athens, Greece. She has been named multiple times as one of American Banker's Most Powerful Women in Banking Ms. Markus graduated summa cum laude from Boston College with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. She is a current member of Women Corporate Directors San Francisco and International Women's Forum Northern California and a former member of the Financial Services Roundtable. Among her numerous community interests, she is a trustee of College of Mount St. Vincent in New York, board member of Catholic Charities San Francisco, and a member of Year Up San Francisco Bay Area Talent and Opportunity Board. She currently serves on the board of Broadridge Financial Solutions, Inc.

Mr. James M. Oates is an Independent Director of Stifel Financial Corp. Mr. Oates has been Managing Director, The Wydown Group, a financial consulting firm (1994 – present); Chairman, Hudson Castle Group, Inc. (formerly IBEX Capital Markets, Inc.), a financial services company (1997 – 2011); Chief Executive Officer, Neworld Bank Corp. (1985 – 1994). Mr. Oates has led several financial services and consulting firms and has substantial investment experience serving on public company, mutual fund, and private investment boards and committees.
