Biographies

Name Description

Chio Kiat Ow

Mr. Ow Chio Kiat Ao is Executive Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Stamford Land Corporation Ltd. He is also the Executive Chairman of two other Singapore listed companies, Singapore Shipping Corporation Limited (“SSC”) and Cougar Logistics Corporation Ltd. (“CLC”). Mr. Ow also holds directorships in most of SLC’s and SSC’s subsidiaries. In 2009, Mr. Ow was named Businessman of the Year at the Singapore Business Awards which was jointly organized by The Business Times and DHL. In 2012, he was awarded Order of Australia by the Commonwealth of Australia in recognition of his distinguished service towards the development of commercial relations and identifying business opportunities between Australia and Singapore. Mr. Ow is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and is Singapore’s non-resident Ambassador to Argentina.

Cheo Guan Ow

Mr. Ow Cheo Guan is Executive Deputy Chairman of the Board of Stamford Land Corporation Ltd. He is also the Executive Deputy Chairman of SSC and CLC, and holds directorships in most of SLC’s and SSC’s subsidiaries. Mr. Ow is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and is the Honorary Consul of the Slovak Republic in Singapore.

Siew Hwi Chua

Ms. Chua Siew Hwi serves as the Chief Financial Officer for Stamford Land Corporation Ltd. She has oversight in finance, treasury, risk management, investor relations and corporate communications functions of the company. She is a CA (Singapore) and holds a Degree of Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University and a Masters of Business Administration from University of Southern Queensland, Australia. She was formerly Chief Financial Officer of Nikko Asset Management Asia Ltd (formerly known as DBS Asset Management Ltd, or DBSAM), with overall responsibility for financial management and operations. Prior to DBSAM, she held positions in corporate planning, budgeting, financial accounting, tax and treasury with listed international property conglomerates. She started her career with KPMG, specialising in audit and assurance services for financial institutions and listed property companies.

Yew Heng Ow

Mr. Ow Yew Heng is Executive Director of Stamford Land Corporation Ltd since November 8, 2010. He is involved in the overall management of the Group’s businesses, including the areas of strategy development, operations, marketing communications, finance and human resources. Mr. Ow is also involved in the evaluation of new business opportunities for the Group, including feasibility studies on potential developments, investments and transactions. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Management and Accounting from University of Technology, Sydney.

Hwee Hua Lim

Mrs. Lim Hwee Hua has been Lead Independent Non-executive Director of the Stamford Land Corporation Ltd . She was Non-Executive Independent Director of Stamford Land Corporation Ltd with effect from July 26, 2012. She graduated with a Master of Arts (Honors) in Mathematics/Engineering from the University of Cambridge in 1981, on a Singapore government’s overseas merit scholarship. In 1989, she obtained a Master of Business Administration, in Finance, from the Anderson School of Management, University of California at Los Angeles. She is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director of SGX Mainboard-listed Jardine Cycle & Carriage Ltd, a Senior Advisor to global investment firm Kohlberg, Kravis and Roberts, and an Independent Non-Executive Member of the Ernst & Young Global Advisory Council. Further details on Mrs. Lim are set out in the attached announcements to the SGX regarding her appointment. She was first elected to Parliament in December 1996 and served till May 2011. She last served as Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Singapore, and concurrently as Second Minister for Finance and Transport from April 2009 to May 2011. Prior to joining the Cabinet, she enjoyed a varied career in financial services, including stints at Temasek Holdings as Managing Director (2000 – 2004) and Jardine Fleming (1992 - 2000).

Douglas Chester

Mr. Douglas Owen Chester serves as Independent Non-Executive Director for Stamford Land Corporation Ltd since July 25, 2013. He also serves on the Audit Committee as a Member. His appointment was recommended by the Nominating Committee and approved by the Board, after taking into consideration his qualifications and experience. He previously served as Australia's High Commissioner to Singapore (2008-2012), and de facto Chief Operating Officer for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) (1997-2008). He also serves on the board of Civmec Limited.

Chin Nam Tan

Dr. Tan Chin Nam is Independent Non-Executive Director of Stamford Land Corporation Ltd since January 4, 2008. Dr. Tan is Chairman of the Media Development Authority’s International Advisory Panel, Temasek Management Services and NTU New Media Peak of Excellence Governance Coordinating Committee. He is a Director of Yeo Hiap Seng Limited, Raffles Education Corporation Ltd, PSA International Pte Ltd, Gallant Venture Ltd and Senior Adviser to the Salim Group and The LiTMUS Group. Dr. Tan was Chairman of the Media Development Authority since its formation on January 1, 2003, until December 2010. Dr. Tan also held top leadership positions in National Computer Board, Economic Development Board, Singapore Tourism Board, National Library Board, Ministry of Manpower and Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts. He was awarded four National Day Public Administration Medals. Dr. Tan obtained his degrees in Industrial Engineering and Economics from the University of Newcastle, Australia, Master of Business Administration from the University of Bradford, United Kingdom and two Honorary Doctorates.

Mark Anthony Vaile

The Hon. Mark Anthony James Vaile is Independent Non-Executive Director of Stamford Land Corporation Ltd since July 30, 2009. Mr. Vaile was Australia’s Deputy Prime Minister and leader of the Federal National Party from June 2005 to November 2007. As Australia’s Minister for Trade from July 1999 to September 2006, Mr. Vaile was responsible for negotiating Australia’s free trade agreements with the United States, Singapore and Thailand and led Australia’s drive to free up global trade through the World Trade Organization. Mr. Vaile has also held the ministerial portfolios of Transport and Regional Development (twice) and Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (1998- 1999). Mr. Vaile, who served as an elected member of the Australian Parliament since 1993, retired from political life in July 2008 to pursue a career in the private sector. In recognition of his distinguished service during his political career, The Commonwealth of Australia awarded Mr. Vaile the Order of Australia in 2012. Mr. Vaile is the Chairman of Palisade Investment Partners Limited, the nonexecutive Chairman of Whitehaven Coal Limited and the non-executive Director of Servcorp Limited. He also holds directorships in Virgin Blue Holdings Limited and CBD Energy Limited (both listed on Australian Securities Exchange).
