Name Description

Simon Israel

 Mr. Simon Claude Israel is Non-Executive Non-Independent Chairman of the Board of Singapore Telecommunications Limited with effect from July 29, 2011. He was appointed a Director on July 04, 2003 and was last re-elected on July 24, 2007. Mr. Israel is Chairman of the Singapore Tourism Board and Asia Pacific Breweries Limited, and an Executive Director of Temasek Holdings (Private) Limited. He is also a Director of Neptune Orient Lines Limited and Fraser and Neave Limited. Mr. Israel was Chairman, Asia Pacific of Danone Asia, and a member of the Executive Committee of Group Danone before stepping down in June 2006. He held various positions in Sara Lee Corporation in the Asia Pacific region, including Country Manager/Zone Manager for Indonesia, the Philippines, the South Pacific and Thailand from 1974 to 1991, before becoming President (Household & Personal Care), Asia Pacific from 1992 to 1996. Mr. Israel is a former Director of Britannia Industries Ltd, Danone Asia Pte Ltd, Danone Food & Beverages India Pvt Ltd, Frucor Beverages Group Limited, Griffins Foods Pte Ltd, Hangzhou Wahaha Food Co. Sock Koong Chua

 Ms. Chua Sock Koong is Group Chief Executive Officer, Executive Non-Independent Director of Singapore Telecommunications Limited. She was appointed a Director on October 12, 2006 and Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on April 01, 2007. She was last re-elected on July 2007. Ms. Chua joined SingTel in June 1989 as Treasurer. In April 1999, she was appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO), a position she held till February 2006 when she assumed the positions of Group CFO and CEO (International). She was appointed Deputy Group CEO on October 12, 2006. Ms. Chua sits on the boards of Bharti Airtel Limited, Bharti Telecom Limited and key subsidiaries of the SingTel Group. She is also a member of the Singapore Management University Board of Trustees, the Casino Regulatory Authority and the Public Service Commission. She is a former Board Member of JTC Corporation. Ngiap Jong Low

 Ms. Low Ngiap Jong is Group Chief Financial Officer of Singapore Telecommunications Limited., since September 1, 2008. She oversees the Group’s financial affairs including corporate finance, treasury, risk management and capital management and investor relations. Before this, she was Chief Financial Officer of Optus from 2006. She joined SingTel in 1998 as the Group Financial Controller. In 2004, she was promoted to Executive Vice President of Strategic Investments managing the Group’s international investments. Before SingTel, she worked at an international accounting firm and thereafter in a public listed electronics company in Singapore. She is a Director of OpenNet Pte. Ltd. Since April 2010, she has been a Council Member of the Singapore Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Bill Chang

 Mr. Bill Chang has been appointed as Chief Executive - Information and Communication Technology Solutions Business of Singapore Telecommunications Ltd., effective 16 July 2012. He is responsible for providing ICT solutions to serve the Group’s enterprise customers, offering innovative and comprehensive IT and telecommunications solutions across multiple geographies. Previously he was Managing Director, Business Group, Group ICT, which serves domestic and global corporate customers with a full range of ICT services. He joined SingTel in 2005 as Executive Vice President of Corporate Business. Mr Chang is the Chairman of the Singapore Polytechnic Board of Governors and a Board Member of SingPost, serving in their Compensation and Technology Committees. Bill served on the Board of Workforce Development Agency (WDA) for 6 years until 2011, where he was the Chairman of the Incentives and Grants Committee of the WDA Board. For his contributions to Singapore’s workforce development, Bill received the National Day Public Service Medal in 2007. Before joining SingTel, he was the Managing Director of CISCO Systems’ Advanced Services Group in Asia Pacific responsible for its operations in 13 regional countries. He graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering from Monash University in 1990.

Yoong Keong Lew

 Mr. Yoong Keong Lew is Chief Executive Officer - Group Digital Life, Country Chief Officer Singapore of Singapore Telecommunications Limited. Mr Lew is CEO, Group Digital L!fe and responsible for the Group’s journey to become a player in the digital ecosystem, beyond connecting voices to bringing people together with innovative and cutting-edge digital services. As Country Chief Officer Singapore, he is the principal liaison with local and regulatory bodies. He assumed these positions on 1 April 2012. Previously, Mr Lew held the position of CEO, Singapore from February 2006 to March 2012. He began his career with the SingTel Group in November 1980 and has served in various senior management positions, including Chief Operating Officer of Advanced Info Service (AIS) – the Group’s associate in Thailand, Chief Operating Officer of Singapore Telecom International Pte Ltd and Managing Director of Optus Consumer. Mr Lew is the Chairman of the AIS Executive Committee, a Board member of the Sentosa Development Corporation and a member of the Singapore Institute of Technology’s Board of Trustees. Mr Lew holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the University of Western Australia and a Master of Science (Management) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, US.

Paul O'Sullivan

 Mr. Paul O'Sullivan is Chief Executive Officer - Group Consumer of Singapore Telecommunications Limited. He is CEO, Group Consumer and responsible for setting new benchmarks in customer service as the provider of next-generation communication, infotainment and technology services to consumers across Asia Pacific. As Country Chief Officer Australia, he is the principal liaison with local and regulatory bodies. He assumed these positions on 1 April 2012. Previously, Mr O’Sullivan was CEO of Optus from September 2004 to March 2012. He also held management positions within Optus including Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director of Optus Mobile, as well as various international management roles at the Colonial Group and the Royal Dutch Shell Group in Canada, the Middle East, Australia and the United Kingdom. Mr O’Sullivan also serves on the Board of Commissioners of Telkomsel, Indonesia. He is a founding member and Chairman of the Australian Business and Community Network, which partners businesses with schools to improve collaboration between corporate Australia and education leaders. Mr. O’Sullivan has a Bachelor of Arts (Mod) Economics from Trinity College, University of Dublin.

Choy Peng Wu

 Ms. Wu Choy Peng has been appointed as Group Chief Information Officer of Singapore Telecommunications Limited with effect from August 2012 and is responsible for the development of the SingTel Group’s IT vision and roadmap. She also drives synergies to establish excellence in technology management. Prior to joining SingTel, Ms. Wu was the Group CIO of Neptune Orient Lines Group. Ms. Wu has more than 19 years of experience with the Singapore Government in a wide range of IT management roles and served as its Chief Information Officer for six years. Ms. Wu is currently on the Advisory Board of the Institute of Systems Science, National University of Singapore. Ms. Wu holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours with Highest Distinction) in Computer/Communication Science and Mathematics, and a Master of Science in Computer Science/Engineering, both from the University of Michigan, US.

 Ms. Aileen Tan is Group Director - Human Resource of Singapore Telecommunications Limited., since June 2008. She joined SingTel in June 2008 as Group Director Human Resource. She oversees the development of human resource across the SingTel Group, including wholly-owned subsidiaries NCS and Optus. She is also responsible for the Group’s corporate social responsibility. Before SingTel, she was Group General Manager Human Resource at WBL Corporation and was Vice President, Centers of Excellence with Abacus International. Ms Tan has over 20 years of HR experience in various multinational corporations and local companies. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Statistics and Japanese Studies from the National University of Singapore. Kaikhushru Nargolwala

 Mr. Kaikhushru Shiavax Nargolwala is Lead Non-Executive Independent Director of Singapore Telecommunications Limited. He was appointed a Director on September 29, 2006 and was last re-elected on July 27, 2007. Mr. Nargolwala joined Credit Suisse in January 2008 and is the Chief Executive Officer of Credit Suisse Asia Pacific and a member of the Executive Board. Mr. Nargolwala was a Group Executive Director of Standard Chartered PLC before he stepped down on September 05, 2007.  Mr. David Michael Gonski, CPA, has been Non-Executive Director of Singapore Telecommunications Ltd since March 1, 2013. He is Director and Member of the Optus Advisory Committee and the Risk Committee and Chairman of Investec Bank (Australia) Limited. Boon Kwee Ong

 Mr. Ong Boon Kwee is Non-Executive Non-Independent Director of Singapore Telecommunications Limited. He is the Head of Singapore’s Civil Service, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance of Singapore, Permanent Secretary (Special Duties) in the Prime Minister’s Office and the Permanent Secretary for National Security and Intelligence Co-ordination. He has previously held the positions of Permanent Secretary (Ministry of Trade and Industry), Permanent Secretary (Ministry of Transport) and 2nd Permanent Secretary (Ministry of Defence). Prior to that, he was an Executive Vice President of Temasek Holdings (Private) Limited. He is also the Chairman of Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore, MND Holdings Pte Ltd and Calvary Community Care. He is the former Chairman of the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority and Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, and a former Director of DBS Group Holdings Limited and DBS Bank Limited. Yoke Choong Chin

 Mr. Chin Yoke Choong is Non-Executive Independent Director of Singapore Telecommunications Ltd., with effect from May 1, 2012. He is the Chairman of Singapore Totalisator Board. He is a member of the Council of Presidential Advisers and serves on the boards of the Competition Commission of Singapore and Singapore Labour Foundation. He is also a Director of several listed companies including Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation Limited, Yeo Hiap Seng Limited, Ho Bee Investment Ltd, SembCorp Industries Ltd and AV Jennings Limited. Ai Lian Fang

 Ms. Fang Ai Lian is Non-Executive Independent Director of Singapore Telecommunications Limited., since August 07, 2008. Ms. Fang has been the Chairman of Great Eastern Holdings Ltd since April 2008, as well as Chairman of its insurance subsidiaries in both Singapore and Malaysia. Prior to that, she was with Ernst & Young for over 30 years, where she was appointed Managing Partner in 1996 and Chairman in 2005. Chiu Fai Ho

 Mr. Chiu Fai Ho is Non-Executive Independent Director of Singapore Telecommunications Limited., since November 28, 2007. Mr. Ho is the founder and a partner of HOPU Investment Management Co., Ltd. and a Director of Hang Lung Properties Limited. Mr. Ho joined KPMG US in Houston in 1975 and became a partner in 1985. He was transferred to Beijing, China to set up KPMG’s practice in 1984 and resided in China until 1989 when he was assigned to Hong Kong. Mr. Ho became the China firm’s Senior Partner based in Beijing in 2000 and was elected Chairman of KPMG in China and Hong Kong SAR in April 2003. He retired in April 2007. Mr. Ho holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Accountancy from the University of Houston. He is a member of the American Institute of Accountants and a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accounts.

Check Kian Low

 Mr. Low Check Kian is Non-Executive Independent Director of Singapore Telecommunications Ltd., since May 9, 2011. He is one of the founding partners of NewSmith Capital Partners LLP, an independent partnership providing corporate finance advice and investment management services, with its headquarters based in London. Prior to founding NewSmith, Mr Low was a Senior Vice-President and Member of the Executive Management Committee of Merrill Lynch & Co., as well as its Chairman for the Asia Pacific Region. Mr Low has served as an independent director on the Singapore Exchange Board since 20 July 2000, and was appointed Lead Independent Director in May 2006. He also sits on the Boards of Neptune Orient Lines Limited and Fibrechem Technologies Limited, as well as AWAK Technologies Pte. Ltd. Mr Low previously also sat on the Board of Singapore Workforce Development Agency and chaired its investment arm. Peter Mason

 Sir. Peter Edward Mason is Non-Executive Independent Director of Singapore Telecommunication Ltd. He is the Chairman of AMP Limited, a director of David Jones Limited and a Senior Advisor to UBS Australia. Mr Mason has 40 years experience in investment banking. He was Chairman of JP Morgan Chase Bank in Australia from 2000 to 2005 and Chairman of their associate, Ord Minnett Group. Prior to this, he was Chairman and Chief Executive of Schroders Australia and Group Managing Director of Schroders’ investment banking businesses in the Asia Pacific region.  Mr. Ong Peng Tsin is Non-Executive Independent Director of Singapore Telecommunications Limited., since June 1, 2009. Mr. Ong is Chairman of InfoComm Investments Pte Ltd and is a strategic consultant to IBM. Mr. Ong was the founder and Chairman of Encentuate, a company providing enterprise digital identity systems. IBM acquired Encentuate in 2008. Prior to starting Encentuate, Mr. Ong was the founder and Chairman of Interwoven Inc., a provider of content infrastructure.
