Name Description

Donald Brydon

Mr. Donald H. Brydon, CBE, has been appointed as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of The Sage Group PLC., with effect from 1 September 2012. Donald joined the Board in July 2012 and became Chairman on 1 September 2012. He is also Chairman of Royal Mail plc and the Medical Research Council and was, until 19 November 2013, Chairman of Smiths Group plc. Donald had a 20-year career with Barclays Group, during which time he was Chairman and Chief Executive of BZW Investment Management and acting Chief Executive of BZW followed by 15 years with the AXA Group, including holding the posts of Chairman and Chief Executive of AXA Investment Managers and Chairman of AXA Framlington. He has also recently chaired the London Metal Exchange, Amersham plc, Taylor Nelson Sofres plc and the ifs School of Finance and is a past Chairman of EveryChild. He has also served as Senior Independent Director of Allied Domecq plc and Scottish Power plc.

Stephen Kelly

Mr. Stephen P. Kelly is Chief Executive Officer of the Company. He has served as Chief Executive Officer of two growth orientated public software companies, namely: NASDAQ listed Chordiant Software, Inc. from 2001 to 2005; and then from 2006 to 2010, London Stock Exchange listed Micro Focus International plc. From 2010, Stephen was a founder investor and director in a number of successful SMEs. In 2012 he was appointed Chief Operating Officer for UK Government responsible to the Minister for the Cabinet Office. In this role, Stephen is the most senior civil servant responsible for Efficiency & Reform, as well as promoting the government's positive SME agenda. Stephen was educated at the University of Bath.

Steve Hare

Mr. Steve Hare has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer of The Sage Group plc., effective January 3, 2014. Steve joined Apax Partners in 2009 as an Operating Partner and is currently Co-Head of the Portfolio Support Group. He assumed additional responsibilities as COO for an 18 month period to June 2012 and, in February 2013, was appointed Interim CEO of Netrada, an Apax owned e-commerce services provider. Prior to his move into private equity, Steve built over 10 years' experience leading the finance function for three listed UK companies. This culminated with his role as a FTSE 100 CFO for Invensys plc, the global technology-related business, from 2006 to 2009. Previously, Steve was Group Finance Director for Spectris plc, the FTSE 250 precision instrumentation and controls company, from 2004 to 2006. As finance director of Invensys and Spectris, Steve built a strong track record for driving organisational change, including greater focus on cash and margin improvement as well as upgrading processes to be consistent with a growing global business. Between 1997 and 2003, Steve was with Marconi PLC, acting as CFO from 2001 to 2003. During this period, he oversaw a business divestment programme which raised in excess of £2bn over a twelve month period and achieved the financial restructuring of the business. Steve qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1985 with Ernst & Whinney, now part of Ernst & Young, and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Liverpool University.

Ivan Epstein

Mr. Ivan Epstein is Chief Executive Officer, AAMEA of The Sage Group PLC. Ivan leads Sage’s businesses across Australia, Africa, the Middle East and Asia, which include some of Sage’s highest growth countries. Starting his career at Price Waterhouse, Ivan then co-founded Softline in 1988 leading it from start-up to a listing on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange in 1997. Softline was delisted and acquired by Sage in 2003, when Ivan joined the Executive Committee as CEO of the Southern Hemisphere, becoming CEO of AAMEA in 2010. Amongst his accomplishments, Ivan has been awarded the Ernst & Young “South Africa’s Best Entrepreneur” in 1999/2000 in recognition of his entrepreneurial attributes and contribution to South African business. He was also awarded the Computer Society South Africa “IT Personality of the Year” accolade in 2009 for his contribution to the IT sector. Ivan is based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Pascal Houillon

Mr. Pascal Houillon is Chief Executive Officer, North America of The Sage Group PLC., since April 2011. From 1997 to April 2011 he was CEO of Sage France, where he was also responsible for Belgium, Brazil, Switzerland and Morocco. Pascal joined Sage France in 1989 and went on to become Regional Director and Sales Director, before leading the Sybel business after it was acquired by Sage in 1995. Starting his career as a systems analyst for UAP Insurance, Pascal co-founded Sinequanon in 1987, providing business management solutions to SMEs. He was also Vice President of Syntec, the French software and IT association, for nine years. Pascal is based in Irvine, California, North America.

Alvaro Ramirez

Mr. Alvaro Ramirez is Chief Executive Officer, Europe of The Sage Group PLC since January 1, 2011. Since January 2011 Álvaro has been responsible for Sage’s European strategy, operations and business performance. Previously, as CEO of Sage Spain, he grew the Spanish business both organically and through acquisition, transforming it into a market-leading software company. Álvaro joined Sage in 2003 after Sage acquired Grupo SP, which he co-founded in 1989. He grew Grupo SP to become Spain’s leader for entry-level business management software, with subsidiaries in Portugal and across Central and South America. Álvaro is based in Madrid, Spain.

Klaus-Michael Vogelberg

Mr. Klaus-Michael Vogelberg is Group Chief Technology Officer of The Sage Group Plc. From 2004 to 2007 he was R&D Director for Sage UK & Ireland. Klaus-Michael joined us when Sage acquired the German KHK Software group in 1997, where he was R&D Director and a partner. A software entrepreneur, Klaus-Michael set up his first business aged 19 while studying aeronautical engineering and national economics. Klaus-Michael is based in the UK.

Amanda Jobbins

Ms. Amanda Jobbins is Group Chief Marketing Officer of The Sage Group PLC. She joined Sage in November 2012 from Cisco where she was Global Vice President of Partner Marketing based in San Francisco. Before this she led Cisco’s European Marketing, driving the global channel and strategic partner business across the enterprise, commercial and small business markets. In November 2011 Amanda won the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Award for International Marketer of the Year. Amanda previously worked in senior marketing leadership roles for IBM and Symantec in the USA and Europe. Amanda is based in the UK.

Richard Drury

Mr. Richard Drury is Group Human Resources Director of the Company. He is responsible for leading human resources at Sage. His role is to develop and lead the implementation of our global strategy for organisational design, reward, leadership development, performance, talent, employee engagement and internal communications. Richard joined Sage in June 2013 from technology business Invensys plc, where he held a number of human resources leadership roles including Group Human Resources Director, and was responsible for providing services to over 21,000 employees across Europe, the Americas, Asia and the Middle East. Prior to Invensys Richard worked in human resources in Whitbread’s hotel and pub retail businesses and with British Airways, where he held both HR and customer services leadership roles. Richard is based in the UK.

Michael Robinson

Mr. Michael J. Robinson is Company Secretary, Group Legal Director of The Sage Group Plc. He joined Sage in 2002 as Company Secretary and Group Legal Director. After reading Law at Oxford, Michael qualified as a solicitor and spent 15 years at one of the UK’s largest law firms. Michael is based in the UK.

Drummond Hall

Mr. Drummond Hall has been appointed as Non-Executive Director of the Company., with effective 1 January 2014. Mr. Drummond was Chief Executive of Dairy Crest Group plc from 2002 to 2006, prior to which his career was spent with Procter and Gamble, Mars and PepsiCo. He is currently the Senior Independent Non-executive Director of WH Smith plc. Drummond was a Non-executive Director of Mitchells & Butlers plc from July 2004 to January 2010, and Chairman from June 2008 to November 2009.

Inna Kuznetsova

Ms. Inna Kuznetsova is Non-Executive Director of the Company. She has also been appointed as member of Remuneration, Audit and Nomination Committees. Inna is Chief Commercial Officer at CEVA Logistics, which she joined in 2012. Prior to joining CEVA, Inna spent 19 years at IBM where she held a number of different roles focusing on building and running strong organisations in sales, business development and marketing.

Neil Berkett

Mr. Neil Berkett has been appointed as Non-Executive Independent Director of The Sage Group PLC., effective July 5, 2013. He is also Chairman of the Guardian Media Group, a Non-executive Director of Bank of Queensland Ltd and member of the Board of Trustees of the NSPCC. He has over 25 years’ experience in a wide range of highly-competitive consumer industries. Most recently, he was Chief Executive of Virgin Media Group from March 2008 to June 2013, having joined ntl, Virgin Media’s predecessor, as Chief Operating Officer in September 2005. Before ntl, he was Managing Director, Distribution, at Lloyds TSB plc (UK). His previous roles include Chief Operating Officer at Prudential Assurance Company Ltd UK, Head of Retail at St George Bank, Senior General Manager at the Australian division of Citibank Limited, Chief Executive at Eastwest Airlines Australia and Financial Controller at ICL Australia.

Jonathan Howell

Mr. Jonathan A. G. Howell has been appointed as Non-Executive Independent Director of The Sage Group PLC., effective May 15, 2013. He became Chairman of the Audit Committee in November 2013. He is also Group Finance Director of Close Brothers Group plc, joining in February 2008, and previously held the same position at the London Stock Exchange Group plc since 1999. Jonathan has also been a Non-executive Director of EMAP plc and Chairman of FTSE International. The early part of his career was at Price Waterhouse where he qualified as a chartered accountant.

Ruth Markland

Ms. Ruth Markland is Senior Non-Executive Independent Director of The Sage Group Plc. She was appointed to the Board in September 2006, becoming Senior Independent Director in March 2011. Ruth is also a Non-executive Director of Standard Chartered plc and a member of the Supervisory Board of Arcadis NV. She was formerly Managing Partner, Asia for the international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
