Name Description

JR Shaw

Mr. JR Shaw is Non-Independent Executive Chairman of the Board of Shaw Communications Inc. He is Immediate past Chair and former Director of Suncor Energy Inc. (TSX, NYSE), Director and President of the Shaw Foundation, Director of several private companies including Darian Resources Ltd.

Peter Bissonnette

Mr. Peter J. Bissonnette is President, Non-Independent Director of Shaw Communications Inc. Mr. Bissonnette has been Director of Cable Television Laboratories, Inc. (CableLabs), a not-for-profit research development consortium dedicated to pursuing new cable telecommunications technologies. During his service at the Company, he has progressed through a number of leadership positions including Senior Vice President Operations, Vice President Operations and a range of senior management positions in Vancouver, Toronto and Calgary.

Bradley Shaw

Mr. Bradley S. Shaw is Chief Executive Officer, Non-Independent Director of Shaw Communications Inc. Prior to this appointment, he was Executive Vice President. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Company since 1999. Starting in 1989, Mr. Shaw was appointed systems manager for small through regions. In 1997, he was appointed Vice President Operations for British Columbia, in 1999, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick operations were added to his responsibilities. In August, 2000, Shaw Communications initiated the transition of its satellite operations from a public company to a wholly owned Shaw subsidiary, Star Choice. In February 2001, Brad Shaw was given the challenge of turning the business into a solid profitable operation when he was appointed Senior Vice President of Operations for Star Choice. During his time there, he built Star Choice's management team, increased the subscriber base, improved cash flow and put the business on the path to earnings. Star Choice, now Shaw Direct, is now one of North America's direct-to-home digital TV providers. In January 2004, he was appointed Senior Vice President of Operations for Shaw Cable - Shaw's core business. He worked to provide the Company's customers with the high level of service and reliability that is the cornerstone of strategy and reflects the lessons he learned as a customer service representative. He also played a role in the launch of Shaw Digital phone. During his tenure as Senior Vice President of Operations, he initiated and led a company program to create a vision statement and define unifying core values.

James Shaw

Mr. James R. Shaw is Non-Independent Vice Chairman of the Board of Shaw Communications Inc. Prior to his appointment as Chief Executive Officer in December 1998, Mr. Shaw held a number of senior management positions with the Company including President, Chief Operating Officer, and Senior Vice President - Operations. Mr. Shaw joined the Company in 1982. Mr. Shaw has been an active participant within the Northern American cable television industry for over 23 years. He has served as Chairman of the Canadian Cable Television Association from 1996 until 2002. Mr. Shaw has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of Cancom, Group Telecom and Microcell. Mr. Shaw is a member of the Board of Directors of United Acquisitions Inc. and CableLabs, as well as active member of the Young Presidents Organization.

Jay Mehr

Mr. Jay Mehr is Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President of Shaw Communications Inc. He has more than 17 years of direct operating experience at Shaw in a number of regional and central roles. Mr. Mehr is accountable for Shaw's operating and customer facing elements -- including cable, satellite and business operations -- and retains responsibility for information technology (IT), engineering, supply chain and customer experience.

Barbara Williams

Ms. Barbara Williams is Executive Vice President - Broadcasting, President, Shaw Media of the Company. Ms. Williams brings more than 25 years of experience in the media industry to the oversight of Global Television and Shaw Media's portfolio of 19 specialty networks. Prior to this appointment, Ms. Williams served as Senior Vice President of Content for Shaw Media, overseeing the creation of Canadian original productions, acquisition deals of top U.S. and international series, and scheduling for the company's conventional and specialty channels. While holding this position, Ms. Williams increased Global's presence among the Top 10 and 20 programs, and strengthened Shaw Media's specialty portfolio, resulting in ranker dominance for the company's analog and digital specialty channels. Over the years, she strategically grew key partnerships and deepened the company's relationship with U.S. studios, launching new channels H2, Lifetime, FYI, CI, DIY and DTOUR in the Canadian market. Most recently, Ms. Williams has led the evolution of program rights acquisition, leading to the launch of GlobalGo and HistoryGo, as well as shomi, a new Canadian SVOD service and joint venture between Shaw and Rogers Communications. Throughout her career, Ms Williams has been a passionate advocate for the Canadian broadcasting industry, sitting on numerous boards and associations. She is currently Chair of the Banff World Media Festival and a Director of the Board of the Canadian Film Centre as well as Canada's Walk of Fame. She has been the driving force behind numerous successful Canadian television series commissioned by Shaw Media, including Rookie Blue, Vikings, Lost Girl, Remedy, Top Chef Canada, Continuum, Yukon Gold and Timber Kings. A mentor and advocate for women both within the company as well as the industry, Ms. Williams has been an instrumental leader at Shaw Media and recognized for her unwavering value system and as a strong champion for diversity.

Rhonda Bashnick

Ms. Rhonda D. Bashnick is Senior Vice President - Finance of Shaw Communications Inc. Ms. Bashnick has leadership experience with the Company and has held a number of roles with the finance team including Director, Taxation, Vice President, Taxation and her most recent role as Vice President, Finance. Prior to joining the Company, she held managerial positions in the areas of taxation and corporate accounting. Ms. Bashnick holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan as well as a Chartered Accountant designation.

Christine Shipton

Ms. Christine Shipton is Senior Vice President - Content of the Company. In this role, Ms. Shipton will be responsible for the company's content strategy across all platforms, as well as overseeing the creation of Canadian original productions, acquisition deals for U.S. and international series, and scheduling for the company's conventional and specialty channels. A key focus of the position will be to ensure that Shaw is strategically evolving its content platforms and windowing rights amidst the ever-evolving media landscape, as well as forging key strategic partnerships to support the company's growing roster of large, international co-productions. Prior to this position, Ms. Shipton was Vice President of Original Content for Shaw Media, responsible for the development and commissioning of all genres of Canadian original programming for the company's 19 specialty channels as well as Global Television. During this time, she brought a major focus to Canadian productions for both Global and the company's specialty networks, commissioning over 700 hours of Canadian content last year alone. Under her watch, 8 of the top 10 HGTV shows were Canadian and over 70 per cent of its Canadian shows were sold into the US. In this position, Ms. Shipton also spearheaded a number of complex, international co-productions including smash hits Vikings, Rookie Blue, Haven, Copper and Beauty and the Beast.

Mr. Michael W. O'Brien is Lead Independent Director of Shaw Communications Inc. He served as Executive Vice-President, Corporate Development and Chief Financial Officer of Suncor Energy Inc., an integrated oil and gas company, until his retirement in 2002. He currently is a director and member of the Environmental, Health & Safety Committee of Suncor Energy Inc., and director, chair of the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee and member of the Compensation Committee and Audit Committee of PrimeWest Energy Inc.

Richard Green

Dr. Richard R. Green is Independent Director of Shaw Communications Inc. Dr. Green is the former President and CEO of Cable Television Laboratories, Inc. (CableLabs), a position he held for 20 years. During his tenure at CableLabs, Dr. Green played a role in helping the cable industry expand into new businesses including high-speed internet and digital telephony. Prior to CableLabs, Dr. Green held roles in the television industry including: Senior Vice President of Broadcast Operations and Engineering at the Public Broadcast Service (PBS), Director of the CBS Advanced Television Technology Laboratory and Director of Engineering at Times Fiber Communications. Dr. Green is the author of more than 55 technical papers on topics ranging from TV production to electro-optical laser research. Mr. Gregory John Keating is Independent Director of Shaw Communications Inc. He joins the Board of the Company with many years of experience as an executive in both the cable and satellite industry and has a Bachelor of Arts (honours) from Saint Francis Xavier University. Paul Pew

Mr. Paul K. Pew is Independent Director of Shaw Communications Inc. Most recently, he was Vice Chairman, Investment Banking, for a Private Banking Firm. For more than 10 years, Mr. Pew has focused on developing the company's presence in the telecommunications, cable, and media sectors. Prior to this, Mr. Pew has held roles at the Ontario Securities Commission, as well as at a public accounting firm and at an international securities firm.
