Name Description

Lisa McIntyre

Dr. Lisa Margaret McIntyre, Ph.D., has been appointed as Independent Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Silex Systems Limited., with effect from 27 June 2014. She is a company director for various companies, including HCF, I-MED Network Pty Ltd, the Garvan Institute of Medical Research and, Tutoring Australasia. Prior to 2011, she was a senior partner in global strategic firm L.E.K. Consulting for 20 years and led L.E.K.'s Asia Pacific Life Science and Technologies practice in Sydney where she advised healthcare companies and organizations on strategy, commercialization and performance issues. She is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She also holds Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree.

Michael Goldsworthy

Dr. Michael P. Goldsworthy, Ph.D., is Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director and Executive Director of Silex Sytems Limited. He has been Director at the Company since 1992. Dr. Goldsworthy received his PhD in Physics from The University of New South Wales. Prior to starting with Silex Systems Limited in 1988, Dr. Goldsworthy was a member of the University's academic staff and was involved in a number of laser-associated research projects. Dr. Goldsworthy is the founder of the Company and has been the driving force behind the SILEX uranium enrichment project, and the establishment of the consolidated entity’s interests in solar, semiconductor and photonics technologies. Dr. Goldsworthy was awarded the Royal Society of NSW’s James Cook Medal for 2009 which recognises contributions for science and human welfare.

Julie Ducie

Ms. Julie E. Ducie serves as Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of Silex Systems Limited., since February 28, 2012. She was appointed as Company Secretary on October 27, 2010. Before joining Silex, Ms. Ducie spent 4 years in the Construction industry in the Middle East as Finance Manager of a Facade Engineering company with projects in Dubai, Bahrain and Qatar. Prior to this, Julie was a Senior Associate with a Chartered Accounting Practice.

Christopher Wilks

Mr. Christopher (Chris) David Wilks is Non-Executive Director at Silex Systems Limited., since September 19, 2007. Mr. Wilks has a background in chartered accounting and investment banking. He was previously a partner in a private investment bank and has held positions on the board of a number of public companies. Mr. Wilks plays a role in the financial oversight and corporate development of Silex. He is Executive director of Sonic Healthcare Limited since 1989. He was Non-executive Director of Independent Practitioner Network Limited between August 2005 and October 2008 (Independent Practitioner Network Limited was delisted in October 2008). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University of Melbourne. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Robert Lee

Mr. Robert Arthur Richard Lee is Non-Executive Director of Silex Systems Limited. Robert Lee is an experienced company director, corporate adviser and former executive director of Macquarie Group Limited. During a 20 year career at Macquarie, he held senior roles within the equity capital markets, corporate finance, private equity and principal investments divisions. Between 2004 and 2008 he was Managing Director of Macquarie Direct Investments (MDI), the Group’s mid-market private equity funds management business. In this role he was responsible for managing MDI’s three private investment funds, with over $300 million of committed capital invested across more than 20 portfolio companies. He has been an adviser, non-executive director and executive director of numerous companies in Australia, the US and Asia. In addition to strong corporate finance and leadership skills, he has worked across multiple industries and geographies. He has a particular interest in assisting Australian companies seeking to commercialise novel industrial technologies in global markets. Robert holds a Bachelor of Science (with Distinction) from Cornell University and a MBA from Harvard University.
