Name Description

Stefan Reineck

Dr. Stefan Reineck has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Suess Microtec AG since June 24, 2009. He previously was Deputy Chairman of the Company's Board from June 19, 2008. He has previously served as a Member of the Supervisory Board from October 1, 2007 until June 19, 2008 and Member of the Management Board from April 1, 2007 until September 30, 2007. Dr. Reineck began his career at LEYBOLD AG, an international plant construction company for the semiconductor and data storage industry, where he ultimately held the position of Division Manager for Data Storage Technology Facilities. He then assumed management control of Quartz Crystal Technology GmbH, a manufacturer of equipment for the telecommunications industry. From 2002 to 2006, he served as Spokesman of the Management Board of STEAG HamaTech AG. After leaving this position, he became a management consultant. He is also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of AttoCube Systems AG, Munich, Germany and at NanoScape AG, Munich, Germany. He is Member of the Board at Phoseon Technology Inc., Member of the Advisory Council at Bosch Solar CISTech GmbH, Chairman of the Administrative Council at VHF-Technologies SA and Managing Partner at Management & Consulting GmbH. He was also Chairman of the Advisory Board of Johanna Solar Technology GmbH until October 31, 2009. Dr. Reineck holds a Doctorate degree in Physics.

Frank Averdung

Mr. Frank P. Averdung serves Chairman of the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer of Suess Microtec AG since February 1, 2009. He joined the Company’s Management Board on November 25, 2008. He also serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of VDMA Productronic Association. He started his career in the semiconductors division of Siemens AG in 1985. After various positions in Germany and abroad, he took worldwide responsibility for the 32-bit microprocessors range as Product Marketing Manager. In 1990, he changed to National Semiconductor as a Corporate Marketing Manager for two years before moving on to ITT Semiconductor in 1992, first as Marketing Director US & Far East and later as Director of the American subsidiary. Before taking over as the Managing Director of the European ETEC Systems companies in 1999, he worked as General Manager at Applied Materials in Munich for three years. From 2003 to 2006, he was Chief Executive Officer of NaWoTec GmbH. Before joining the Company, he was the Managing Director of Carl Zeiss SMS GmbH, Jena, and President and General Manager of Carl Zeiss SMT Inc., Peabody, Massachusetts, the United States. He holds Master degree in Electrical Engineering from Rheinisch-Westfaelische Technische Hochschule( RWTH) Aachen.

Jan Teichert

Mr. Jan Teichert serves as Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Suess Microtec AG since June 24, 2009. He has been Memberof the Company's Supervisory Board since June 19, 2008. He began his career at an accounting and auditing firm in Munich, Germany. In 1999, he transitioned from auditing to the operational business of Lindner Holding KGaA. There, he acted as authorized representative for finance and made a contribution to the realignment of the finance department. Since January 2003, he has been Member of the Board of Directors at Einhell Germany AG, where he serves as Chief Financial Officer. He graduated in Business.

Michael Knopp

Mr. Michael Knopp has been Member of the Management Board and Chief Financial Officer at Suess Microtec AG since August 1, 2007. He started out on his professional career as Auditing Assistant at the auditing company Wollert-Elmendorff Deutsche Industrie-Treuhand GmbH. In 1996, he assumed the role of Financial Analyst at Sensormatic Electronics GmbH., Ratingen, where he was responsible for the coordination, consolidation, and analysis of quarterly and annual financial statements of the European subsidiaries. He spent two years of employment in subsidiary management at Gerresheimer Glas AG. Before joining the Company, he was Managing Director of Kemmax GmbH, an industrial chemicals company based in Essen, Germany, and Chief Financial Officer of International Operations of the Canadian parent company Chemtrade Logistics. Previously, Mr. Knopp worked at REALTECH AG in Walldorf, Germany, between 1999 and 2005, first as Managing Director and then as Chief Financial Officer (from 2001). He holds a degree in Business Administration from Universitaet Bayreuth.

Gerhard Pegam

Mr. Gerhard Pegam has been Member of the Supervisory Board of Suess Microtec AG since 2011. Mr. Pegam was President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of EPCOS, a world manufacturer of electronic components, modules and systems, headquartered in Munich, Germany until Januar 31, 2012. He was also a Member of the Board of Directors of the holding company TDK-EPC Corporation, which was established in 2009 as a result of the merger of EPCOS with the components business of the Japanese electronics company TDK Corporation. Mr. Pegam has 30 years of experience in the Electronics Industry. After graduating in electrical engineering in 1981 he started his professional career as development engineer at Philips in Austria in 1982. In 1985, he moved on to Siemens, were he held various management positions within the passive components sector. In 1999, Mr. Pegam became a member of the Management Board of EPCOS AG, a spin off from Siemens. He assumed the position of Chief Operating Officer before he was appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2001. Mr. Pegam is a member of the Board of Directors of the machine and plant engineering company OC Oerlikon Corporation AG.
