Michael Marks |
Mr. Michael E. Marks is an Independent Chairman of the Board of SanDisk Corp., since January 1, 2011. He has served as a Director of the Company since August 2003. Mr. Marks has managed Riverwood Capital, LLC (formerly Bigwood Capital, LLC), a private equity firm, since March 2007. Mr. Marks was interim Chief Executive Officer of Tesla Motors, Inc., a company that designs and manufactures electric vehicles, from August 2007 to November 2007. Mr. Marks was also a senior adviser from January 2007 to January 2008, and a member from January 2006 until January 2007, at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., a private equity firm. Mr. Marks was Chief Executive Officer of Flextronics, Inc., a manufacturing services provider, from January 1994 to January 2006. Mr. Marks has a B.A. and an M.A. in Psychology from Oberlin College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Mr. Marks has served as a director of Schlumberger Limited since 2005 and on the Board of Trustees of The Juilliard School since December 2011.
