Andrew Hockey |
Mr. Andrew Raymond Hockey has been appointed as the Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Sound Oil plc., with effect from October 11, 2012. He has been a non-executive director of Sound Oil since May 2011 and has 30 years' technical and managerial experience in the upstream oil and gas industry. Andrew is a co-founder of Fairfield Energy Limited where he is General Manager, Joint Ventures and New Business. Andrew's previous roles include senior positions in Eni, Lasmo, Monument and Petrofina with responsibilities across Italy, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Greece and the UK North Sea. Andrew has a BA Honours in Geology from Oxford University and an MSc in Petroleum Geology from Imperial College, London. |
James Parsons |
Mr. James Parsons is Chief Executive Officer, Acting Chief Financial Officer, Director of Sound Oil plc. He has been Chief Financial Officer at the Company for the past twelve months and has 19 years' experience in the fields of strategy, management, finance and corporate development in the energy industry. James joined Sound Oil from the European division of Inter Pipeline Fund, a Toronto-listed resources business, where he held the position of Finance and Corporate Development Director of Inter Pipeline Europe. He started his career with the Royal Dutch Shell group in 1994 and has worked in Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Scandinavia, Holland and London. Leading up to 2006 (when he left Shell to join Inter Pipeline), James held various positions in Shell's exploration and production business, latterly as Vice President of New Business. James has a BA Honours in Business Economics from Durham University and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. |

Mr. Ilham Habibie is Non-Executive Director of Sound Oil plc. He is a co-founder and shareholder of PT. ILTHABI Rekatama, a private investment company in Indonesia, which he joined as a President Director in 2002. Through ILTHABI he invested in, and is director of, various companies in the fields of energy, mining, manufacturing and transportation. Ilham’s previous professional background is largely with aerospace companies (IPTN, Indonesia; Boeing, USA). He holds a Dr.-Ing. (PhD) in Aeronautical Engineering from Technical University of Munich, and a M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, USA. |

Mr. J. A. Heath is Non-Executive Director of Sound Oil plc. He has over 30 years financial and general management experience across roles. Qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1964, he joined Burmah Oil’s motor fuels development business in 1968. He eventually became Group Controller of Burmah Oil and was responsible for all financial information and control of the international oil group covering operations in thirty-five countries. He joined the board of Premier Oil plc as Group Finance Director in 1990 and was Group Finance Director of Sound Oil plc from 2005 to August 2010. |

Mr. Michael B. A. Nobbs is Non-Executive Director of Sound Oil plc. He has a thirty year track record in investment banking, with a focus on corporate and project finance.
