Biographies

Name Description

Simon Israel

Mr. Simon Claude Israel serves as Non-Executive Non-Independent Chairman of the Board of the Company. Mr. Israel is Chairman of Singtel and a Director of CapitaLand Limited, Fonterra Cooperative Group Limited and Stewardship and Corporate Governance Centre Pte. Ltd. He is a member of the Governing Board of Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy and Westpac’s Asia Advisory Board. Mr Israel was formerly Chairman of Asia Pacific Breweries Limited. He was an Executive Director and President of Temasek Holdings (Private) Limited before retiring on 1 July 2011. Prior to that, he was Chairman Asia Pacific of the Danone Group. Mr Israel has also held various positions in Sara Lee Corporation before becoming its President (Household & Personal Care), Asia Pacific. Mr Israel was conferred Knight in the Legion of Honour by the French government in 2007, and awarded the Public Service Medal at the Singapore National Day Awards 2011. He holds a Diploma in Business Studies from The University of the South Pacific.

Sing Hok Lim

Mr. Lim Sing Hok serves as Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer (Corporate Services), Group Chief Financial Officer of the Company. He was Group Chief Financial Officer of the Company effective September 1, 2015. Mr Lim has more than 25 years of senior management experience in finance, general management and corporate secretarial practice that spans local and regional responsibilities as well as a wide range of industries, including retail, logistics, public transportation and mining. For more than 15 years, he was chief financial officer, chief operating officer and company secretary for listed companies such as TIBS Holdings (now part of SMRT Corporation), MPH Limited, Robinsons, FJ Benjamin and TT International Limited. He was a business advisor to small and medium sized enterprises and a full time university lecturer in finance, investment and banking for three years before he returned to the commercial sector. He graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Accountancy and has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Brunel (UK).

Marcelo Wesseler

Mr. Marcelo Wesseler serves as Chief Executive Officer - SingPost Commerce of the Company. Mr Wesseler leads the growth and development of SingPost’s eCommerce business as CEO of SingPost Commerce (SP Commerce), which integrates SingPost’s eCommerce division with leading US-based eCommerce providers TradeGlobal and Jagged Peak, which the group acquired recently. Mr Wesseler has 20 years of international experience in global eCommerce businesses and held senior management positions at KPMG Consulting, Hewlett Packard, and RS Components. Mr Wesseler joined SingPost in 2012. Mr Wesseler is an early eCommerce pioneer. He has founded three eCommerce and retail businesses and helped establish hp.com, mini.com, bmw.com as well as one of Europe’s first online shopping platforms, together with Deutsche Post in 1997. He has a Master of Business Administration from Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg, Germany, and has completed the executive education programme at Stanford University.

Keng Leong Woo

Mr. Woo Keng Leong serves as Chief Executive Officer - Postal Services of the Company. He was Executive Vice President - Postal of Singapore Post Ltd. A Public Service Commission scholar, Mr Woo joined SingPost in 1980, when it was the Singapore Postal Services Department, on a posting as a Public Service Commission scholar. He has been responsible for transforming SingPost’s postal business into one of the most efficient and admired postal service providers in the world. Mr Woo is focused on the quality of our postal services, as well as the sustainability of the mail business, which is the backbone of our eCommerce logistics services. He is also responsible for SingPost’s international postal relationships. Mr Woo sits on the boards of DataPost Pte Ltd, Singapore Post Enterprise Private Limited, Quantium Solutions International Pte Ltd, SingPost eCommerce Logistics Holdings Pte Ltd, GD Express Carrier Berhad, Famous Holdings Pte Ltd, and the Singapore Philatelic Museum. He is also a member of Singapore’s Stamp Advisory Committee. Mr Woo obtained a Bachelor of Arts with Honours from Nanyang University in Singapore, and has completed an International Post Office Management course in the UK.

Ramesh Narayanaswamy

Mr. Ramesh Narayanaswamy serves as Group Chief Information Officer of the Company. Mr Narayanaswamy joined SingPost in May 2012 to oversee and implement all technology-related transformation programmes across the Group. He is responsible for technology strategy, delivery and support of all applications and building world class infrastructure for all business units. He is also the Chief Data Protection Officer for the Group. Mr Narayanaswamy joined SingPost from Standard Chartered Bank, where as head of technology solution delivery for retail banking, he was responsible for strategising, developing and managing all retail banking programmes involving credit cards, personal loans, mortgage, credit and risk, and core banking across the bank globally and on multiple technology platforms. Mr Narayanaswamy previously worked in Citibank, implementing credit card-related programmes globally. He has a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours and a Master of Science with Honours from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, India. He holds a Master of Business Administration in strategic management from Nanyang Business School, Singapore.

Genevieve McCully

Ms. Genevieve Tan McCully serves as Group Company Secretary of Singapore Post Limited. She served as the Head of Legal Department for the geographical regions in Southeast Asia and Asia Emerging Countries, Hewlett-Packard Asia Pacific Pte Ltd.

York Chye Chang

Mr. Chang York Chye serves as Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of Singapore Post Ltd. Mr. Chang was appointed as a director in November 2010 and a member of the Technology Committee in April 2011. Mr. Chang is currently the Executive Vice President of Business Group in Singapore Telecommunications Limited. He is a board member of the Workforce Development Agency (WDA), the Chairman of WDA Incentives and Grants Committee, Chairman of Grid Communications Pte Ltd and Deputy Chairman of the Singapore Polytechnic Board of Governors. He also sits on the Advisory Committee of Singapore Management University School of Information Systems. Mr Chang was a member of the ICT sub-committee which was part of the Government’s Economic Review Committee (2003), SiTF Councillor (2002/2004), Chairman of SiTF-AAC Internet Data Centre Committee (2001), and executive committee member for Think Tank (1999/2000). Mr Chang received the National Day Public Service Medal Award for his contributions to the Singapore’s workforce development in 2007. Mr. Chang holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering from the Monash University.

Mr. Chen Jun serves as Non-Executive Non-Independent Director of Singapore Post Ltd., with effect from 31 July 2014. Mr. Chen Jun is currently a non-executive director of CITIC 21CN Company Limited (stock code: 241), a company listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Michael Murphy

Mr. Michael James Murphy serves as Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of Singapore Post Limited. Mr Murphy was appointed as a director in August 2009 and a member of the Technology Committee in April 2011. He was last re-elected in 2010. Mr Murphy is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Postea, Inc., a Cambridge, Massachusetts-based postal technology group. He also sits on the board of the Postea group of companies which includes The Innovations Group, Inc., Proiam, Inc., Postea Europe Limited and Proiam Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. Mr Murphy has more than 29 years of experience in the high-tech and financial services industries, building high-performance, distributed, and transaction-oriented environments. He founded Escher Group in 1989 and grew the Cambridge, Massachusetts-based company to world leadership in postal counter-automation software, with clients in more than 30 countries. He also holds a number of technology and design patents. Mr Murphy obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering and Industrial Technology from the University of Massachusetts, and continuing graduate studies as a sponsor of the Media Lab at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Zulkifli Bin Baharudin

Mr. Zulkifli Bin Baharudin serves as Non-Executive Independent Director of Singapore Post Limited. Mr. Zulkifli was appointed as a director on November 11, 2009 and was last re-elected in 2010. He is currently the Managing Director of Global Business Integrators Pte Ltd and the Vice Chairman of Mentor Media Ltd. He also sits on the board of Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre, Indo-Trans (Vietnam) Logistics Co. Pte Ltd and Securus Partners Pte Ltd. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Singapore Management University. A Nominated Member of Parliament from 1997 to 2001, he is Singapore’s Non-Resident Ambassador to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria. Mr. Zulkifli holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Estate Management from the National University of Singapore.

Ai Lian Fang

Mrs. Fang Ai Lian serves as Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company. Mrs Fang Ai Lian is a director of Banyan Tree Holdings Limited and Metro Holdings Limited and an advisor to Far East Organization Group. She is the chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Singapore Business Federation and a member of the Singapore University of Technology and Design’s Board of Trustees. Mrs Fang was a director of Singapore Telecommunications Limited till July 2015 and a director of Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation Limited till April 2014. Mrs Fang also served as the chairman of Great Eastern Holdings Limited as well as chairman of its insurance subsidiaries until her retirement in April 2014. Prior to that, she was with Ernst & Young (“E&Y”) for 37 years where she last held the position of chairman of E&Y Singapore from 2002 until her retirement in March 2008. Mrs Fang is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Singapore.

Aliza Knox

Ms. Aliza Knox serves as Non-Executive Independent Director for Singapore Post Ltd. Her working experience includes: Managing Director, Google, Inc. (Commerce, Asia Pacific) from 01/2012 to 11/2012, Managing Director, Google, Inc. (Online Sales and Operations, Asia Pacific) from 11/2007 to 12/2012, Senior Vice President, Visa International (Visa Commercial Solutions) from 10/2003 to 11/2007, and Senior Vice President, Visa International (Global Product Platforms) from 5/2002 to 09/2003. She serves on the board of InvoCare Limited.

Sau Wai Kong

Ms. Kong Sau Wai Elizabeth serves as Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company. She is a director of Morgan Lewis Stamford LLC, where she manages a wide range of corporate matters that include mergers and acquisitions, equity fund raising, corporate finance, and securities regulation. Chambers Asia-Pacific, The Legal 500 Asia Pacific, Asialaw Leading Lawyers, Lawyer Monthly, and Acquisition International have noted and acknowledged Ms Kong’s impressive record of corporate transactions and she was named in 2014 by both Prestige Singapore and the Singapore Business Review as one of the most influential lawyers aged 40 and under. Ms Kong is a trustee on the board of Cambridge Assessment Singapore and a fellow of the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust. She has been invited to be an honorary member of the Commercial Bar Association of London and also sits on high-level committees, including the government-appointed Working Committee to review the Singapore Legal Services Sector. She writes regularly on corporate law issues for a number of legal journals. Ms Kong holds a Double First in Law from Cambridge University.

Teck Seng Low

Prof. Low Teck Seng, Ph.D., serves as Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company. He was Non-Executive Independent Chairman of the Board of Singapore Post Ltd., with effect from 10 May 2016. He was appointed as a director on October 8, 2010 and as Chairman of the Risk and Technology Committee in April 2011. Professor Low is the Managing Director of Singapore’s Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). He is a tenured Professor at Nanyang Technological University and was the founder and former Principal and CEO of Republic Polytechnic, Singapore. Professor Low joined NUS in 1983 and founded the Magnetics Technology Centre in 1992. In 1998, he returned to NUS as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. Professor Low is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineer. Professor Low sits on the boards of several companies, including Innotek Limited, Parkway Education Pte. Ltd. and the Workplace Safety and Health Council. Professor Low holds a Bachelor of Science degree (First Class Honours) and Ph.D from the Southampton University, United Kingdom.

Nam Chow Soo

Mr. Soo Nam Chow serves as Non-Executive Independent Director of Singapore Post Ltd., with effect 10 April 2014. is currently a non-executive independent director of Mapletree Industrial Trust Management Ltd where he serves as chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee. Mr Soo has worked in the auditing and accounting industry in Singapore for over 35 years and retired from practice in 2009. He was the partner in charge of Risk Management and was a member of the Management Committee of KPMG in Singapore. His other leadership roles included heading the Japanese Practice and Securities Industry Group, as well as a member of the Accounting and Audit Practice Committees. Mr Soo obtained his professional qualification as a Certified Accountant from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 1983 and is a non-practicing member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants.

Beng Hai Tan

Mr. Tan Beng Hai serves as Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company. Mr Tan serves as a director on the boards of two other listed companies namely Ascott Residence Trust Management Ltd where he is the chairman of the board and Sembcorp Marine Ltd. He is also the chairman of Jurong Engineering Limited, Singapore LNG Corporation Pte Ltd, Singex Holdings Pte Ltd and the Institute of Technical Education. In addition, he is a member of the boards of SMRT Corporation Ltd, SMRT Trains Ltd, the Ong Teng Cheong Labour Leadership Institute and the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore and serves as a member of the NTUC Club Management Council and the Board of Governors of Singapore Manufacturing Federation. His past directorships in listed companies and major appointments include CapitaLand Mall Asia Limited and Asia Pacific Breweries Limited. Mr Tan is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Singapore Institute of Directors.
