Name Description

Kenneth Borda

Mr. Kenneth (Ken) Charles Borda serves as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Santos Ltd since May 9, 2013. Previously, he served as Independent Non-Executive Director since 14 February 2007. He has served as Chairman of Santos Finance Limited, Chairman of the Nomination Committee of the Board and member of the Finance Committee and the People & Remuneration Committee of the Board. He is a Board member of Fullerton Funds Management Company Limited, owned by Temasek, Singapore, since February 2007, Chairman of Aviva Ltd (Singapore), Aviva Life Insurance Company Ltd (Hong Kong) and Navigator Investment Service Ltd (Singapore) since January 2011, and Director since 2009. He has seventeen year career with Deutsche Bank based in Sydney, Hong Kong, Singapore and Dubai. Formerly, he served as Regional CEO Asia Pacific, Regional CEO Middle East and North Africa and CEO Australia and New Zealand, Deutsche Bank until retirement in May 2007 after 17 years of service.

David Knox

Mr. David John Wissler Knox is Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director and Executive Director of Santos Ltd. He was appointed as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the Company in July 2008. He joined the Company in September 2007 as Executive Vice President of Growth Businesses, responsible for growth in Santos' new businesses including LNG, Geoscience and New Ventures, Indonesia and other strategic projects. With 30 years of experience in the global oil and gas industry, he has held senior positions with BP in Australia, the UK and Pakistan, and management and engineering roles at ARCO and Shell in the United States, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Norway. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Edinburgh and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Strathclyde. He is Chairman of the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association (APPEA), Director of the Board of the Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium in South Australia, Council Member of the Business Council of Australia and Royal Institute of Australia, Member of the Advisory Board of University College London School of Energy and Resources (Aust), and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia. He was elected in November 2012 as a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering.

Andrew Seaton

Mr. Andrew Seaton serves as Chief Financial Officer of Santos Ltd. He has been appointed to this post on December 2010. He is responsible for Santos’ corporate finance, accounting, taxation, treasury, investor relations, risk, insurance, audit, information systems and procurement functions. He has over 25 years of experience in the global oil and gas industry, encompassing a broad range of finance, banking, commercial and engineering roles. Before joining Santos in 2005, Andrew held senior roles in investment banking with Merrill Lynch and corporate banking with National Australia Bank. His early career included 10 years of engineering and project management experience, including LNG, refining and petrochemicals projects. Prior to being appointed Chief Financial Officer, Andrew held the position of General Manager, Commercial and Finance for Santos’ Eastern Australia Business Unit. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering and a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration.

John Anderson

Mr. John Hugh Anderson has been Vice President of Western Australia and Northern Territory of Santos Ltd since December 31, 2008. He is responsible for Santos’ activities in Western Australia and the Northern Territory, including commercial and finance, business development, exploration, development and operated assets, and has held the Perth-based position since 2009. He joined Santos in 1996 as Corporate Counsel for the former Queensland Northern Territory Business Unit. He has over 25 years of legal, commercial and business development experience in the oil and gas industry, including 10 years working as a solicitor with Freehills. He holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Laws.

James Baulderstone

Mr. James Leslie Baulderstone is Vice President of Eastern Australia of Santos Ltd. He was appointed to this post on August 30, 2010. He is responsible for Santos’ activities in Eastern Australia and unconventional business across Australia. This includes the exploration, production, development and commercialization of the company’s oil and gas resources in central Australia, the Gunnedah Basin and offshore Victoria. James joined Santos in 2007 as General Counsel and Company Secretary after previously holding similar roles at Mayne Group and BlueScope Steel. James has 23 years of extensive legal, commercial and business development experience.

Trevor Brown

Mr. Trevor John Brown is Vice President - Queensland of Santos Ltd. He has end-to-end responsibility for the delivery of optimal gas supply, execution of the upstream project and upstream operations for the GLNG Project. Trevor joined Santos in 2001 from Unocal, where he was part of an active exploration team working in South-East Asia, the United States and South America. He has more than 27 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, including 11 years in Indonesia managing onshore and offshore exploration programs. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree.

Rod Duke

Mr. Rod Duke is Vice President - Downstream Santos GLNG of Santos Ltd. He is responsible for the downstream activities of the Santos GLNG project, including the delivery of the GLNG gas transmission pipeline and the LNG plant and port projects. He has global experience in the LNG industry and joined Santos in February 2013 from Singapore LNG Corporation, where he held the position of Senior Vice President. He has over 28 years of experience in project management, engineering, construction, commissioning, operations, commercial, marketing and business development areas of the upstream natural gas and LNG industry.

Martyn Eames

Mr. Martyn Edward James Eames is Vice President of Santos Ltd. Martyn joined Santos in 2004 and is Vice President responsible for leading the PNG LNG Project to first cargo. Martyn joined Santos in 2004 having spent more than 25 years with BP. Prior to his current role he was Vice President for Asia Pacific.

Diana Hoff

Ms. Diana Hoff is Vice President of Technical and Engineering of Santos Ltd. She is responsible for drilling and completions, projects, surface engineering, safety and environment. She has 25 years of experience with independent operators in the upstream oil and gas industry. Diana joined Santos in 2010 as General Manager Drilling and Completions. She previously held positions with several oil and gas companies, including Chevron, Amoco and Questar. Her career has included drilling and completions operations, engineering and management, and production management with focus on regulatory processes, including environmental approvals, stakeholder engagement and mitigations to lessen impacts to air quality, water quality and surface disturbance.

Bill Ovenden

Mr. Bill Ovenden is Acting Vice President - Exploration and Subsurface of Santos Ltd. He is responsible for exploration budget and strategy, and ensuring excellence in subsurface activities across Santos’ upstream programs. Bill is a geologist with 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He has worked on exploration projects in Australia, Central and South-East Asia, North Africa, the Middle East and South America, with companies including Sun Oil, Kufpec, ExxonMobil and Ampolex. He joined Santos in 2002 after working for ExxonMobil in Indonesia.

Peter Cleary

Mr. Peter John Cleary is Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development of Santos Ltd. He was appointed to this post on August 30, 2010. He leads LNG commercial for Santos, and commercial for the Eastern Australia Business Unit. Peter joined Santos in September 2010 from BP, where he was the President of North West Shelf Australia LNG, the LNG marketing company for the North West Shelf Venture. During his 24-year career with BP, Peter held senior management positions in Australia, Indonesia, Korea, Hong Kong, Abu Dhabi and the United Kingdom. Peter is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Australia Japan Business Cooperation Committee.

Christian Peach

Mr. Christian Peach is General Counsel of Santos Ltd. He advises the Santos Board and management on legal matters affecting the company and its operations. He is responsible for Santos’ legal function, which supports the corporate team and the business units in joint venture agreements, project development, dispute resolution, statutory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, gas sales and production sharing contracts. He has 20 years of legal experience and joined Santos in 2004 after working in national and international firms in Melbourne and London where he focused on large-scale corporate transactions and corporate governance.

Petrina Coventry

Ms. Petrina Coventry is Chief Human Resources Officer of Santos Ltd. She is responsible for the company’s organization and people strategies. She has previously held global leadership roles for The General Electric Company, The Coca Cola Company and Proctor and Gamble. Her industry experience includes energy, oil and gas, financial services and fast-moving consumer goods. She is a PhD partner with Melbourne Business School, a Vincent Fairfax Fellow, a member of the World Economic Forum Partner Against Corruption Initiative (PACI) and an advisor to the Global Council of Corporate Universities (GlobalCCU).

David Lim

Mr. David Lim has been Company Secretary of Santos Ltd since September 1, 2010. He is accountable to the Board for the effectiveness of corporate governance processes, ensuring adherence to the Board’s principles and procedures and coordinating all Board business, and provides the Santos Board with independent advice and support in relation to these matters. Prior to joining Santos in 2007, he had over 15 years of experience in commercial legal practice. He is an accredited Chartered Secretary.

Peter Coates

Mr. Peter Roland Coates, AO, is Non-Executive Director of Santos Ltd. He was previously the Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of the Company from December 9, 2009 to May 9, 2013. He has been on the Company's Board since March 18, 208. He was Chairman of the Nomination Committee and Member of the People and Remuneration Committee and Finance Committee of the Company. He is also Chairman of the Nomination Committee of Santos Finance Limited. He is former Non-Executive Chairman of Xstrata Australia. Previously, he served as Chief Executive of Xstrata Coal, Xstrata plc’s global coal business. He was appointed Non-Executive Director of Minara Resources Limited on April 1, 2008 and appointed as Chairman on May 9, 2008. He has been Non-Executive Director of Amalgamated Holdings Limited since July 20, 2009. He is former Chairman of the Minerals Council of Australia, the NSW Minerals Council and the Australian Coal Association. Kenneth Dean

Mr. Kenneth (Ken) Alfred Dean is Independent Non-Executive Director of Santos Ltd. He has been on the Company's Board since February 23, 2005. He is Chairman of the Audit Committee and Member of the Finance Committee of the Company. He has been Director of Santos Finance Ltd since September 30, 2005. He has been Non-Executive Director of Bluescope Steel Limited since April 2009 and Chairman of Bluescope's Audit and Risk Committee. In the past, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Alumina Ltd from October 4, 2005 to February 3, 2009, Alternate Director of Alumina Ltd from October 27, 2005 to February 3, 2009, Non-Executive Director of Alcoa of Australia Ltd, Alcoa World Alumina LLC and related companies, from October 27, 2005 to February 3, 2009 and Director of Shell Australia Ltd from 1997 to 2001 and Woodside Petroleum Ltd from 1998 to 2004. He has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He is Fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is Former Chief Executive Officer of Shell Financial Services and Member of the La Trobe University Council. He holds a degree in Commerce from the University of New South Wales. Roy Franklin

Mr. Roy Alexander Franklin, OBE, is Independent Non-Executive Director of Santos Ltd. He has been on the Company's Board since September 28, 2006. He is Member of the Environment, Health, Safety and Sustainability Committee of the Company. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Geology from University of Southampton, UK. He is Non-executive director of Keller Group plc since July 2007 and Chairman since August 2009, Non-executive director of Boart Longyear Limited since October 2010 and of Cuadrilla Resources Holdings Limited since January 2012. He was Chief Executive Officer of Paladin Resources plc from 1997 to 2005 and former Group Managing Director of Clyde Petroleum plc, Chairman of BRINDEX, the trade association for UK independent oil and gas companies from 2002 to 2005, and a former member of PILOT, the joint industry/UK Government task force set up to maximize hydrocarbon recovery from the UK North Sea (2002-05). He was a non-executive director of StatoilHydro ASA from October 2007 to June 2013. In 2004, he was awarded the OBE for services to the UK oil and gas industry.

Hock Goh

Mr. Hock Goh has been Independent Non-Executive Director of Santos Ltd since October 22, 2012. He has more than 30 years experience in the global oil and gas industry, having spent 25 years with Schlumberger Limited, including as President of Network and Infrastructure Solutions division in London, President of Asia, and Vice President and General Manager of China. Previously held managerial and staff positions in Asia, the Middle East and Europe. He is Chairman of MEC Resources Ltd since October 2006 and Advent Energy Ltd since November 2007. He was appointed as non-executive director of Stora Enso Oyj (Finland) in April 2012, a non-executive director of BPH Energy Ltd since November 2007 and KS Distribution Pte Ltd (Singapore) since September 2010. He was an Operating Partner of Baird Capital Partners Asia, based in China (2007-June 2012), and non-executive director of Xaloy Holding Inc in the US from 2006 to 2008. Mr. Goh holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Monash University and has completed the Advanced Management Program at INSEAD.

Jane Hemstritch

Ms. Jane Sharman Hemstritch is Independent Non-Executive Director of Santos Ltd. She has been on the Company's Board since February 16, 2010. She is Member of the People and Remuneration Committee and Audit Committee of the Company. She has experience in the oil and gas, telecommunications, government, financial services and manufacturing sectors. She spent 25 years of her career with Accenture and Andersen Consulting. Formerly, she served as Accenture’s Managing Director Resources Operating Group Asia Pacific, and before that, Country Managing Director Australia. She acts as Non-Executive Director of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Tabcorp Holdings Ltd, The Victorian Opera Company and The Global Foundation. She is Member of the Research and Policy Council of the Committee for Economic Development of Australia and the National Library of Australia Council and a Fellow of the Institutes of Chartered Accountants in Australia and in England and Wales and Member of Chief Executive Women Inc. She is former Managing Director of Accenture businesses. She is Non-executive director of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (October 2006), Lend Lease Group (September 2011), Tabcorp Holdings Ltd (November 2008), Victorian Opera Company Ltd (October 2010) and Deputy Chairman of The Global Foundation (November 2009). Gregory Martin

Mr. Gregory (Greg) John Walton Martin serves as Independent Non-Executive Director of Santos Ltd. He has been on the Company's Board since October 29, 2009. He is Chairman of the People and Remuneration Committee, and Member of the Environment, Health, Safety and Sustainability Committee and Audit Committee. Scott Sheffield

Mr. Scott Douglas Sheffield is Independent Non-Executive Director of Santos Ltd effective February 24, 2014. Mr. Sheffield is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Pioneer Natural Resources Company, which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and included in the S&P 500 Index. Mr. Sheffield has been Chief Executive Officer since 1997 and Chairman since 1999. Mr. Sheffield serves on various industry and education-related boards, including the National Petroleum Council, America’s Natural Gas Alliance and the Maguire Energy Institute of the SMU Cox School of Business. Mr. Sheffield is a recipient of the Permian Basin Association’s Top Hand award, which recognizes individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership within the oil and gas industry and the Permian Basin community.
